Cache Meadow Vet. Clinic Reviews

Part of the Cache Meadow Clinic is a grooming salon located in a building in the rear. We have been coming to the clinic for several years with our rescue cats, one of which is a Persian. Last week I dropped off my wife with the cat in a carrier for a grooming appointment. I went outside to move the car and when I returned I found my wife in tears. One of the two b - - - - - - s had decided that our cat had far too many knots and would require anesthesia, which apparently was problematic due to the Corona practices. She proceeded to insult my wife to the extreme, criticizing and blaming her for the cats coat and implying animal cruelty.

My wife has a PhD and is not used to local gutter snipes insulting her. Instructive dialog would have been fine. This behavior was so egregious that we have decided to sever our connection with this clinic. While the vets have been fine over the years, their connection with the grooming center, whatever it is, demonstrates a huge error in judgement. We will have no problem fiinding another clinic who will take our six to eight hundred dollars per year. And yes, we gladly drove to Ogden to have our cat groomed by experts needing no anesthesia.

Always friendly staff and they take care of my babies. They talk out the best options available and get things done. My dog had to have his eye sewn shut so that it could heal and the first set of stitches came out. The vet took him back in free of charge and corrected the stitching. I don't like that he had to go under sedation twice... But the fact that they noticed the error and made it right was very appreciated. They always call to check up on them as well. Even minor surgeries they follow up just to make sure we're all doing OK.

Went for an appt with my moms dog. It was going to be put down. My mom had made the appt in person the day before while going over the dogs issue. When we got there for the appt, everyone greiving, the secretary somhow didnt put the appt in and had no idea we were expected and why!!!
They apologized, however, and worked it out. It did make a little more time to say goodbye to a beloved pet so in a way the delay was good. But still, how do you forget to put an appt in the schedule, people???

I can home Thanksgiving night to my dog laying in a pool of her own blood. Dr. Reese was so quick to come in and was so nice to us(if it were me, I would have been a little upset for having to leave my family). The staff was constantly updating me on how she was doing which made me feel reassured that she was in good hands. While she was staying in the hospital, they would let me go back and see her. They were always sweet and reassuring during such a traumatic time. I wouldn't trust anyone else to care for my animals.

They have been very good with my pet rats, if you are a rat owner this is a great place to bring them! Dr Reeves has seen my various rats each time I ve gone in and I have felt that he has done an excellent job each time. Many people dismiss rats as they generally live very short lives, but each time I have gone I have felt that all my concerns have been taken with the utmost seriousness and I have always had positive results. I ve been very impressed with Dr Reeves knowledge and professionalism, and I will always come back here whenever I have a problem! I feel like I have been undercharged each time for the wonderful job that they do each time I go! Thank you Cache Meadows!

Our poor dog came down with a gasterointestinal infection on a Saturday. They got us in right away and showed immediate care. They are so compassionate and took the time to answer every question we had. We had some questions a few days later and the receptionist knew every detail without opening up a file and assured us of every concern we had. Amazing!

Great vets and great customer service! Been using these guys for my dogs and cats for about 20 years now. Always a great experience! :)

You can't get a better group of people to take care of your cat or dog. Very loving towards your animal. Been going here for 20+ years.

Love all of the staff members! They are personable, friendly, kind, caring and professional. From the Docs, the assistants, to the office staff, they are the best. I would never go anywhere else. We have been taking out many fur kids here for more than 20 years.

I called the number on the window, and they brought out our dog's medicine. Great service!

Dr. Durrant has taken such good care of our dogs for the past 20 years! He is so calm, gentle and attentive. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring for each dog. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommend seeing Vet Richard Reeves. He stayed with me all night saving my 4 year old husky female by performing a emergency surgery. Her recovery was amazing and without Dr Reeves I would have lost my precious baby girl. Thank you Dr. Reeves for your wonderful care <3

I went in less than a week ago. The vet told me they could not test for feline leukemia, and sent me on my way. Now I found out from another vet that my kitten is positive for it and going to die. They did a blood test to find this out!!!!! I thought cache meadows was a good place to take my animals, but it turns out they aren t. He rushed thru the check up, didn t listen to my concerns and charged me almost ove 100$ for nothing. Do not go there. They are ridiculous.....

We had an emergency with our cat a few days ago. We called 4 other vets but Cache Meadow was the only one able to see her without charging hundreds to see her. We thought the procedure she was going to need was going to cost thousands. In and out, issue resolved, for 10% of what we thought it was going to cost! The total price was actually less than some of the quotes we got for other vets just to take a look. We've taken our pets to a few different vets, but Cache Meadow has always proven themselves to go above and beyond with availability, quality, value, and care. I definitely recommend them!

They were very professional and helpful! I will go back every 6 weeks.

I've been bringing my dogs and foster dogs to Dr. Durrant for many many years. He is the absolute best as are the other vets. Dr. Explains everything and as a team we decide on the best treatments for my pets. I absolutely love this vet office and all the caring people there.

Dr. Kemp is AMAZING! I can t thank him enough for what he did for my dog and family!
My golden doodle was scratched on the face by another dog and it was very severe. In less than 24 hours his eye bruised, became inflamed and ruptured and the eye needed to be removed. He stayed late on a Saturday afternoon to do his surgery; called us in the late evening to keep us updated on his condition and had him stay overnight for motoring to make sure he was safe and healthy. He went through step by step of what was going to happen: pre-op, during surgery, and post-op instructions (at least 12 times because of us asking so many times due to being so nervous/devastated-he didn t get annoyed once; just answered calmly and made us feel taken care of). He came in on a Sunday morning to help us and made sure he was okay after surgery, and that we were informed of what was happening. Of course he could of handed it off to the on call doctor but he helped us throughout the whole procedure and made us feel calm through one of the scariest moments of our lives!
The prices were unbelievable low and we are incredibly grateful for the wonderful care for our family member from this clinic! They have A LIFETIME PATIENT!!!

Process are higher but service is great. I'll be coming back

After having a terrible incident at my previous vet I was recommended Cache Meadow and I am so happy that I made the decision to move my 4 dogs and cat over to them. So far we have done vaccinations and a surgery. I am so impressed that they will take the time to go ask the dr a question when you call on the phone, are so friendly and so loving with my dogs and most of all their prices are the best!! I think we made a great choice when we switched to Cache Meadow and hope to be clients of theirs for years to come. Thanks for taking care of my fur babies.

Thank You Cache Meadow Vet Clinic for another life saving successful year- 2019 was incredibly busy with so many rescues coming into our 501c3 nonprofit rescue organization -Ynot Save A Sam Rescue. Along w/ the amazing staff and Veterinarians at CMVC we were able to not only Rescue but bring these beautiful dogs to the point of being healed / healthy and ADOPTED into loving new homes. 70+ lives saved in 2019- that s really awesome Tail Wagging~ News!!

Such a great vet clinic! The staff is always friendly and helpful. We have seen all the Drs with our pets over the last 9 years, and they are fabulous! They don't try to push you to spend more $ to do unnecessary things. They definitely have the pets best interest at heart!

Visited with a friend for her cat, showed up a bit early but they got us in quickly. An assistant let us know about the procedure, which was implanting a chip. The price was around what I had heard from other places, $66 for the chip, plus a $44 checkup. My friend's cat was a nightmare but the staff delt with it in a professional and courteous way, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem if you have a difficult pet.

Cache Meadow is the best veterinary in Cache Valley. My dog loved going to Cache Meadow, he'd drag me in when he saw where we were. When the end of his life came, Cache Meadow helped us with compassion and respect for him.

Cache Meadows has the most caring and attentive staff! Our family dog Louie was hit by a car and did not make it. Their staff were so caring, so attentive and loving during the heart break of it all.

We now have a new dog and have brought him here for all his shots and check up! He actually loves coming to the vet. Really this place is incredible!

They advertise that they're available 24 hours 7 days a week but when I really needed them the most, it was impossible to get a hold of them. My dog was having a seizure for almost 2 hours straight and I was constantly calling the on-call vets number and he wouldn't answer. It was going straight to voicemail and it said leave your name & number and they would get back to you in just a couple of minutes. The first phone call I made to him was at 2:37am and I never got a call back from him until 7:22am, after I had already tooken my dog to another vet where she had to be put down because of many complications that the ongoing seizure caused. I would not recommend this vet clinic to anybody for after hours. They're very unreliable.

I became a new sugar glider owner back in september. It was quite a trial and error experience at first, so I'm so grateful for the amazing care they provided for my babies. Any time I had a problem I just drove over and they fit me in right away. Their staff is courteous and their service is prompt. I was especially pleased with the more than reasonable prices!

I will never take my pets anywhere else! I have had nothing but excellent service from Cache Meadows. All the staff is extremely nice and very caring. We have had to take our dogs for multiple emergency visits late in the night, and we have never had any negative responses from the doctors coming at late hours. Just within the last month, our boxer has hit a little rough spot. I called the emergency office number and met Dr. Miller at 10:00pm at night. Our dog wasn't eating or drinking, and obviously was dehydrated. He did multiple tests, x-rays, and a complete physical exam. We found out that she had pancreatitis, and she needed to be hospitalized with IV fluids for a few days. She ended up staying there for 4 days and they kept the cost very reasonable. She now has had to have a feeding tube put in because she wouldn't eat on her own. They have allowed me to bring her there during the day to have her be fed while I go to work. I've had amazing service from them, and all 3 doctors have been so good to work with!

They were great. Any vet that doesnt want me to spend any more than needed has my vote. They are also super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I really like them and will be back.

Great Dr's. And staff they always squeeze you in if it's worry some condition, they explain everything, lots of experience to draw on, good listeners and their prices are reasonable.

My husband and I needed emergency care for our dog Teemo, who had several porcupine quills in his face and nose. Dr. Reeves was prompt to respond to our voicemail and removed all 67 quills within an hour. He was gentle with Teemo, and even clipped his nails while he was sedated, which was very thoughtful. I would highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Reeves for his excellent care!

I think I was expecting more just based on the reviews. They were courteous enough and explained everything very well however what's most important to me is being able to leave feeling confident that my animal is getting the best possible care. And I did not get that feeling from them, they were not reassuring and I left feeling uncertain about my pets welfare.

They are great, get your pet in in emergency. So glad we found them.

They came out to my truck and examined my cat inside but thete was no co tact. It was fast east and convenient.

Professional and compassionate Veterinarians supported by wonderful vet techs and office staff. Very responsive in emergencies. Concern for the animal's welfare is the highest priority. They always take the time to answer questions and provide information during routine office visits.

Okay people, Dr. Durrant is seriously the best out there. I've been taking cats and dogs to him since the late 90's and am always pleased with the care and services offered to my fur babies!!!

Very helpful and quick. I had my cat's vaccinations done the same day I called in and it only took a few minutes to complete the procedure when I arrived. Great place!

Great personal care of my fur babies for twenty years

We previously had a bad experience at a vet and came to this one for a follow up on our dogs. They were all so friendly, they enjoyed our dogs as much as we do, the were comforting towards them and explained everything clearly. There prices are great as well. Over all we were pleased with this vet and plan to make it our permanent vet for our 4 fur babies.

This is an awesome clinic, with excellent doctors and staff. They offer a wide range of services to small pets, including short and long-term boarding. I have a lot of confidence in the quality of care given at this clinic.

Really appreciate Cache Meadows. Our dog had some unnerving symptoms and when our usual vet couldn't work us in, Cache Meadows did. They were very kind, professional and sincerely eager to help. Dr Durrant treated our dog and was friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a vet!

Most of the time they are able to get us in, treat our pets with necessarily care and decent priced. Dr. Durrant is the vet of our choice! We had a dog and brought her in do to a few issues, he said to just do yogurt we did that and said nothing was wrong. Turned out she had kidney failure and had to put her down a few months later. That was a younger vet. Dr. Durrant has ALWAYS done a great job, he listens and helps with necessary things. He is one of the only vets we trust!

I brought my cat in to have a bite wound looked at. Dr. Durrant looked at him immediately and gave our cat excellent care. Dr. Durrant was friendly, explained things thoroughly, and seemed genuinely interested in the health and wellness of our pet. I could tell he really loves animals. This is the only place in Cache Valley I will take my pet!
