It was a very nice place, I enjoyed my visit and the staff was very polite.
It was a very nice place, I enjoyed my visit and the staff was very polite.
Played the golf course. Beautiful surroundings, pleasent and extremely helpful staff (and there were two very large groups going out on a shotgun start!). The course is challenging but reasonable. Overall a very good experience that we will do again soon!
It's amazing here. The staff are incredible! Beautiful scenery. Love the pool and the gold course is first class !
Nice course, great condition, great greens!
Breakfast food wasn't good and service was worse! The female server that worked the breakfast buffet was the only bad thing, I can handle so, so food, but not bad service from a resort! Great for golf, bad for breakfast!
It's a wonderful property. The rooms are more like cabins, and they are uniformly luxurious. Living room, fireplace, porch, big bathroom, lots of lighting options, all good stuff. The golf course is excellent. Many family activities, like a dedicated family pool, nature walks, and smores.
One note is that after staying here many times over the last dozen years, as it is a favorite destination for work team events, I've noticed the service has declined recently (2020), perhaps related to Hyatt takeover.
Excellent staff, wonderful locally sourced food, very comfortable rooms, amazing views, just an incredible place to stay.
Rooms were very pleasant and service was on point. The area was wonderful to walk around and had nice views! Had a few ants and the restaurant food wasn't anything special but overall didn't spoil the experience!
Wonderful grounds, friendly staff, comfortable rooms. No horseback riding for the time being. Maybe in the spring they will have their beautification project complete and have the horses back. I took a great hike, almost nine miles around the property, lovely views.
Amazing location for off sites and for family outings. Spread over a massive area with a lot of animals and activities.
great facility but they really fell down on service. also seating and service at their restaurant was handled in a grumpy and bizarre manner.
We love this place for family weekend getaway. Very family friendly. Not far from Big Sur and Point Lobos, but can also hike on the property. They keep good rules for pool capacity and outdoor dining. Lots of outdoors space to spread around during COVID-19 times.
Decided to stay here after stumbling upon a great promotional rate they were doing (check their website-- they have lots of promotions that they run!)
The property is gorgeous and there's lots of things to explore. We didn't have time to do any of the scheduled events, but the smores by the pool were a fantastic touch :)
Just a great place to visit. One of the most dog friendly resorts I've been to. Additionally the food is incredible!
My sister and I decided to take our family on a mini weekend getaway for my mom s birthday. Received a lot of good feedback that this spot was good with following covid protocols and protecting their customers, as well as, themselves so we opted to try this spot out. We were impressed with the size, the activities, the friendliness, and excellent customer service. We had a great suite with two rooms with a personal patio so my dog had space roam and explore on his own. Love that this spot is extremely dog friendly everywhere but the pool. My family and I did the complimentary yoga and trx classes and did some archery for $65 per person. This weekend was for my mom and she enjoyed it so overall, great visit here. They provide in-room dining for pets, too! We ordered our pup his own meals for two nights, and it was such a treat for him :) We would love to return to stay and check out all their other activities next time, too.
Fantastic service and location, beautiful views to complement your golf round.
My best chick sandwich ever! Beautiful area. Cozy, simple and stylish hotel. Friendly service, but could be a bit better - especially for American standards. A trip from Carmel is worthwhile in any case!
If you don't mind mixing with club members then give it a try.
Best hotel in the Valley....incredible service, amazing facility and unbelievable rooms
Loved the accomodation BUT service poor. The restrooms are FILTHY and tables not cleared without request. Love the staff but who is the management that permits this to go on despite multiple requests?
I had the best time. It's so beautiful and the staff is wonderful. Great service.
What a beautiful relaxing spot! The room was amazing with a fireplace, a deck with a hot tub, and a king sized bed. Golf carts take you around to your room and the lobby. There are numerous activities to partake in, such as candle making or gardening. The air was fresh and the night sky had plenty of stars. Service was all star - I never got the sense that any folks lingered for tips and all were genuinely kind and helpful. Tip: those super comfy furry bathroom slippers are complimentary. My feet are forever happy. 10/10 would stay again.
The property is beautiful and the rooms are very cozy! It was great to enjoy the balcony with the outdoor fireplace. Carmel Valley Ranch has so much going on from the Valley Kitchen to the daily activities you need to stay much longer than one night to experience it all!
We attended a yoga class by the instructor Davia and it was lovely. We hiked to the top of horse shoe trail and had the class on top of a platform. The facilities and staff were amazing.
Great place. Peaceful, clean and helpful staff. Definitely a great stay!
Stayed at the end of December. When I first came to check in, the security at the entrance of the ranch asks for my name, confirms the person who is booking the stay, and enters a car number (?). They handed out and let me in, such as license plates in front of the car. Once you register, it will just open automatically after that.
And the room condition was very good. It felt like I was in a mountain hut... The natural environment was very good. I grouped 4 people in the suite. The living room(?) sofa bed was not uncomfortable at all. The service was good. It's a fault that the price is high... the money wasn't a waste.
I don't have time. The hotel is so spacious. I haven't seen all of the promenade inside the hotel. Great for a walk in the morning.
There seems to be a variety of activities for guests as well.
Both family friendly and for couples. The hotel has nice rooms, great staff, and separarte pool areas for adults and kids (the adult's pool area is pretty nice).
Hospitality and facilities are superb, I was amazed and extremely pleased.
Nice, clean, good food, good amenities, friendly staff, kid friendly but also has adult section.
A very nice place. The staff are all courteous and friendly... fast and excellent service. Will definitely recommend! My friends and I truly had a very relaxing and fun stay. Will denitely cone back. Awesome to see deers and turkeys wandering around...
Great food and the views are amazing. The chicken wings had an amazing Asian sauce
This resort is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the front desk staff are phenomenal. The reason I can't give 5 stars the way I'd like, though, is the terrible service we received eating at the bar in the resort's main restaurant. It took almost 3 hours to have 2 cocktails, an appetizer, and 2 entrees. The bartenders were far more interested in socializing with each other and the other servers than they were in actually doing their jobs. One of the bartenders was even standing behind the bar eating pizza, which I found extremely unprofessional. I would strongly recommend that they all receive re-training ASAP. Such a lovely resort shouldn't be sullied by only a couple of lazy employees.
Place is very nice, beautiful big rooms, nice staff. Especially for golfers. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is that the kitchen there is really slow above average. It took them over 30 minutes for a cold musky (nothing to prepare nor to cook) the rest of the family (with eggs, french toast) finished their breakfast while I was still waiting for my muesly
Excellent condition golf course. Lenght of the course is on the short side but the they make up the difficulty with the tough greens.
Golf course was beautiful and they had really good food.
Staff helpful and friendly! Grounds are beautiful. Food is great. Room was spacious but a little dated.
Beautiful grounds, but hilariously delayed shuttle service - if you want to get 30 seconds down the hill to the green it can take half an hour to get a ride to the lodge in a golf cart and then wait for the bus...!
Played golf today and Frank checked us in at the pro shop. He was very polite and kind.
Had Lunch at the Club House and Jose was our waiter. He started our day off with a charming Birthday Celebration for me Step Son and I.
Could not ask for better company, golfing, atmosphere, and weather!
Best day in a long while!
5 Star Day All Around!!
Thanks to Jose (Waiter), Frank (Pro shop), Cal ( Birthday Boy), Jamie & Dave (Golf Buddies)!
Beautiful hotel with an amazing spa. Come here to unwind and bond with family!
A stunning spot for any event or even just a weekend getaway. Gorgeous views from the summit with a wonderful walking trail throughout.
A first class resort for the whole family to enjoy ! ....also an amazing adults only pool with a bar and amazing hill side views !
Our stay at Carmel Ranch has been absolutely amazing. This is obvious as soon as you start driving up the hill towards the Lodge. The view is breathtaking and come sunset, it gets even more stunning. The rooms are perfect and have a very home-y feel to them and the beds are comfortable. All the amenities were free (although I do not know if that is the case for every room) so that was a nice plus. The amenities were also above par containing snacks that are more "premium" feat. Milanos, Cliff bars, etc. There's several fire pits located around the grounds that they light from 6-10pm which helps when it gets slightly chilly late at night. The grounds also feature four decently sized pools, two of which are adult only. However, they do not go very deep, only 4-4.5 feet deep. The grounds is very large as it is also contains a full sized golf course with each hole scattered around the grounds, but they have a 24/7 shuttle service that you can text and they'll send a golf cart that'll arrive in 5-10 minutes.
Can you say wow !!! can you say wow is beautiful, its rooms are beautiful and warm, if you are looking for that perfect place for a romantic date with your partner it is ideal it is beautiful for the whole family, visiting with friends etc. I love!! And his staff I recommend it, they will surely love it !!!!
Heavenly... Great escape... When I really need to chill out.
Exceptional service. Rooms are very spacious. Adult pool is a quiet place to relax. We visited during a July weekend, yet the resort didn't feel crowded.
Went as company outing. Got a 2-bed suite, but one be turned out to be a convertible couch-bed. The location is very nice in the hills, nice for short hikes (but be prepared to walk uphill to get to your room). The map showed some trail with were actually partially obstructed by fallen trees (i.e don't trust blindly the property map)
