Great prices, great furniture, great staff! Always something interesting to find here
Clean, orderly, varied stock and sizes, good prices - definitely worth checking out!
Good place to find what you looking for ,mainly furniture.
Moved to the area from the west coast about two years ago, and we've probably bought two dozen pieces of furniture small and large, lighting fixtures, a couple of rugs, silver plate, small items for gifts, and sold one mid-century console radio.
We like to stop by once a month or so, just to see what's new. Ian is a great addition to the staff and fun to talk with. Make sure you wander around in ALL the back rooms too, not just the ones up front by the register.
Furniture ranges from actual antiques, to reproductions. Make sure you examine carefully, so that you know what you're getting. Some of the stuff as shabby as flat-pack (ikea style) reproductions (got a few of those). Some is genuine late 1800's antiques (got one of those for $300).
You need to look carefully before you buy. I've spent a long weekend or two repairing pieces that had hidden damage. Pull drawers in dressers all the way out and flip them over, make sure the bottom isn't loose or the back isn't unglued, and the sides aren't split. In one small piece the rails the drawers slid on had come unglued. If there's legs, make sure they're firmly attached. If it's small enough, flip the whole thing upside down and look at the bottom. Older furniture was held together mostly with tongue-and-groove and glue, but they used glues that dry out and evaporate over time, not modern glues.
I always find wonderful and unique furniture and home decor items here at affordable prices. Buy and Consign is a "go-to" and "go regularly" kind of shop.

A lot of common damage can be fixed with a few small 1/2" or 1" angle-brackets, small screws and some wood glue, but factor your time into the price. I use some tie-down straps (ratcheting ones are the best) or the like to hold everything under tension while the glue dries. I'm not adverse to paying $30 for a piece (that probably should have been thrown away instead of sold) and investing another $50 in glue, screws and angle brackets to get a piece that my girlfriend thinks is priceless. But you may not want to do that.
They have such a selection, I could spend hours there
I'm at odds reviewing this spot. I want it to be my little secret because they have so much cool stuff and low prices! But if I don't tell you all, it won't be here any longer! Staff is very friendly and helpful, inventory changes daily!
Lots of rooms to explore with really helpful staff. Prices range, and items change out fairly frequently.
Love this place. Great prices with good turnover of product; go every weekend.
Best is to come and visit every week if you can. Brilliant finds, wonderful stuff, helpful and kind.
Wow, what a gem. Don't shop anywhere else. Linda was great. The selection is unique and expansive. There's no need to buy new while a place like this is anywhere nearby.
Cool place to buy and consign furniture. It was easy to consign a set of lamps there. Can be busy sometimes, but employees were great.
We owne a large Victorian home and it s not easy or cheap furnish and decorate but thanks to buy and consign. For the last 3 years we got pieces for almost every room in the house. I couldn t be rapier with the amazing pieces and prices. Not mention the best treatment we could ask for it! Thank you Kelly and all the team for helping make our dream home beautiful again!
Nice shop, got some treasures at a very reasonable price.
