2nd time here for an adults 80's weekend great time had by all, if you have never done one you should fantastic weekends
Lovely staff, excellent beach and access. Food prices to high though. Our holiday went very smoothly I can't give higher praise than that.
Rooms not very clean and drinks expensive. Otherwise good value for money, good entertainment, excellent site, great safety and good service.
What is the exchange rate for visitors, what are the locks on the room like....Scotland. G
Very nice resort, stayed there for 4 days, 3 nights. The food was amazing, there was different choices of food everyday and all you can eat too! However breakfast could use more variety as it is the same everyday. The rooms were nice and cosy with plenty of rooms and space. We ordered the silver room. The facilities were great! We loved the pool and the entertainment shows every night. Prices are a bit expensive though but I guess it is a resort so they are high. But overall it is one of the best resorts I've been in, we are definitely coming back again.
Drinks are over priced, but other then that..great family resort
Was fantastic only problem was the queuing to get a seat ..
Comfortable chalets, basic supply of kitchen equipment (if you cook a lot you might want to bring decent knives, non-stick pans, they do provide but not always amazing.) Good selection of restaurants including a pub food type, Italian, burger king, fish and chips, ice cream etc. You can download menus if you need for prices etc You're also only about 4 miles from Skegness town centre. Facilities include swimming/ flumes, a spa, kids funfair, beach. I didn't try everything so can't give any guarantees. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Parking wraps round the centre so you can park quite close for loading etc.
We went to watch the main show in the skyline bar not enough seats even 15mins after it opened then was asked to move as blocking a stair way when we were not doing so the staff were not welcoming at all
brilliant place for a family holiday so much for children and adults alike. Everywhere always clean and tidy the staff are always very pleasant. Entertainment is always good but the places can be a bit packed during High season, so always grab your seats early. The food on half board or full board is always really good.
Absolutely amazing, spent 3 days here in accomodation, the room was lovely and clean, the skyline pavillion was amazing, entertainement was all great, my 4 year old had an amazing time, the food was great ( premium dining) definitely will be returning next year. The only problem is the expense, you pay a lot for the holiday, but then spend a fortune while youre there too, so if you go id definitely limit the money you spend whilst there, we went all out went bowling and to the cinema etc but the biggest cost was the arcades, the grabbers are all rigged so you cannot win so i wouldnt even bother with those. Everything else was perfect
Just returned from 90s weekend - best fun you will ever have! Highly recommended.
Great place to take the kids for a break, so much to do. Plenty to keep everyone entertained the swimming pool is a highlight!
I thought it would be a hell hole but I couldn't have been further from the truth. Absolutely loads to do, all the staff I met, without exception, were lovely, even the massive doormen! We had a gold apartment and it was big, clean, airy and very well equipped and was cleaned daily. The food was good quality and not too pricey though beer is expensive. Skegness & Ingoldmells are minutes away and offer even more to do as both are completely dedicated to holiday makers with loads of attractions.
Me and my fiance stayed at Skegness Butlins resort for 4 nights and 5 days and it was absolutely amazing the entertainment was brilliant and for all the family not just Kids, the food we got was breakfast and dinner was lovely and the best part was it was an all you can eat buffet which was fantastic. The bed was super comfy and I could have stayed in there all day and would have if it wasn't for the fantastic entertainment they put on throughout the day and being just a few minutes walk from the beach meant we spent most of the day at the beach as well.
Very good tots mid week break staff are all very happy and helpful. Great to have so many other parents in the same situation awesome pool and so many added bits for the little people.
Great place for a family holiday my kids and grandkids love it here been coming now for the last 10 years. The rides are good the entertainment is really good. We stay in the caravan part which I highly recommend.
The rooms were very clean altogether a good time with the grand children the eldest grand child ( 9 at time ) had the hump as being a bit small for his age he couldn't go on the fair but his younger cousin could
Loved everything about this holiday, there was more things to do that are free that don't require booking other than shows and the fair, especially for the evening. Que are manic
Great fun My first time here and I loved it
Overall good experience, water park is crowded and long queue for all slides. Most of the outside kids rides are covered in the day visit pass. Be careful while riding the striking cars with kids , it doesn't have proper seat belts, kids may bump on to the handle.
We go here every year. The kids love it! There is so much to do, the kids never want to leave
Absolutely fantastic family holiday which comes highly recommended. You've got everything under one roof and to top it off Fantasy Island close by.
We stayed for 5 days during the Christmas Spectacular event. Accommodation - what you would expect from Butlins, if you look too hard it's a bit grubby. Carpets haven't seen a Hoover in a while but more than bearable. We had a fairground More
We've been to all the Butlins and enjoyed them all. Great location and attractions for a family wanting to have time together. The beach and location is traditional British but fun.
Stayed in lagoon bay lovely location near the tent! Lovely stay
Does need some updating good for kids not much for adults
Great 70s night with lots of great name bands and tributes... the place was buzzing and everyone had an amazing time... the only downside is that in places it really could do with a lock of paint ... looked a bit tired in places
Visited on the occasion of the National Williams Syndrome Conference. Accommodation simple but nice and clean (quarter Pelican) - in the rooms television, kettle, simple bathroom. But to hear the neighbors a bit ... More
Not happy at all.. Stayed here for a few days break myself and our other family member seperate cars... Didn't bother complaining as it will get us nowhere...
Nice and friendly environment, lots of things to do and nice places to eat.
Great venue for a team get together/stay do, went for a 80's themed weekender...
Me and my wife went here with our 3 year old and 8 month old. It was specific week designed for kids under 5 called just for tots. They both absolutely loved it. There is so many activities to do, loads of shows on and special guest appearances from cbeebies etc. We enjoyed it so much we are going again next year.
Go every year to the 70s weekend. Brilliant weekend and good value for the money.
Parts of it were a little dated and tatty. There were a few leaks from the roof in this bad rain. The food was very good
A great place to have fun with the kids, activities and shows aplenty!!only downsides are the accomodation (im in silver rooms) is slightly outdated and the walls are far too thin, every noise can be heard which is far from ideal!!other than that we're having a wonderful time.
Excellent food and entertainment and helpful staff.
Very disappointed. And the dinning was horrible. Plates were dirty when you felt the surfes and the Bowls .we had the Health and Safety on to it when we got home.
Waterworld and gardens are lovely, annual pass is good value
Came to Butlins on a Sun deal. Had the most fabulous time. My son is two, we stayed in standard accommodation which was room only but had recently been refurbished so was lovely and clean, two bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin) with a bathroom with a shower only. TV in each room. Tea and coffee making facilities in the double room. Standard rooms are the closest to all the action, we were right across from the little stars fairground and soft play. We were less than 5 minutes from the pavilion and less than 10 minute walk from the pool. We stayed Halloween week and there were lots of activities on for children. All the staff were really happy and helpful. Will definitely return.
Wonderful well looked after resort. Every member of staff was polite and friendly. Lots of things to do, for all weather's and its all easily accessible. The food in every restaurant we tried was really yummy! Great choice and lovely cooked meals, service was a little slow for out of season but worth the wait. Worth noting that for the two restaurants Firehouse and Ludos they ask for a reservation, you cant just turn up. Accommodation was found nice and clean but as the week went on found that housekeeping went a little slack, we had to go ask them if we could borrow a hoover as the floor hadnt been hoovered in 3 days, with 5 of us there and one being a messy 3 year old it got very messy very quickly! They come and sorted it for us though. The pool was fantastic fun, plenty to do and kept really clean. The outdoor "rapids" were a bit pants as it was very shallow and you had to push yourself along anyway. The other slides were great fun and my boy gained so much water confidence that he told us off for trying to catch him when he come off the slides! Overall we had a great time and we will be visiting again. My little one really enjoyed himself.
Great friendly staff make this a good fun filled place for a short family break
Great for younger family's but after 8 years I think I have finished with the place
Was on 90s adult weekend with my friends was out in day time watching entertainment we had our dinner in butlins food court came out of there at ten passed seven walked back to our silver apartment at this time it was half passed seven we was on ground floor as well we had put some music on y we got ready the next thing a butlins security person started to shout at us saying she was sick of all the compaints about us but we had not been in the room all day and she said get your things packed and get off we told her we had only just got back in room and we had been up in tent all day watching entertainment but has was very very rude I am 48 years old and my friends are all in there 40's she got 8 more security men to come to us even though we was just saying to her y are you doing this as we have only just got back to are room but just keep saying get your stuff and get of or we will get you of so we had to pack up and get of for no reason all other than she said we has music on to load at 7'30pm on a adult only weekend 90s reloaded music weekend so me and my friends has to get a taxi in to Skegness to get a boarding house but after 30mins of looking there was no vacancies and it was freezing cold so we had to get the train back to Notts the another taxi it cost us 180 pound in all for 3 of us to get home as my other friends in the room next door to me could stop as that did not have any music in there room but was on my booking and thay was with us I have bin going on butlins adult weekends for 15 years and go on 80s and the 90s weekend's me and my friends work 6 7 days a week and never get any time of but always enjoy Our 2 butlins weekends a year but I can not put into words how we feel about how we was treated as we did not do anything WRONG so if you are going on these weekends smash the rooms up and sell and take drugs and get into fights you will be OK as if you go and play a bit of music y you are getting ready to go out at 7'30pm you will be kicked off butlins and left to freeze to death at gates so thanks butlins. We pride our self's on people having a wonderful time and enjoying the butlins adult experience
Great holiday lots to do for all ages. My sons review was "my best holiday Ever"
Butlins, like. Let holiday vilages in the UK coast is well run and clean. The o my downside to Butlins is the "parents" who see it as a place to let their children run wild while they spend the day at the pub drinking.
Again it's butlins love our holidays me and the good lady
This year was our fourth and I have to say I am disappointed. So far 3 of the things my children and I have tried to do have ended in disappointment. Things seem to be closing earlier than stated. Our meal out as a family at the firehouse was met with slight disappointment too quality and quantity not as good as last year. Some issues in our apartment too shower missing covers and seal so poor pressure an leaking everywhere positioning of furniture over only plug sockets in main bedroom made it difficult to use anything as did only have one useable socket in the kitchen. I loved this place until this year's visit and now I feel like we won't be coming back at least not next year. Maybe in the future I would consider trying again .
Had a really good day, we took our daughter for her 1st birthday. She loved the pool and the entertainment.
Lovely place, extremely busy when we were there. Nice rooms and lots to do. We will definately be back. Be aware that the Butlins of old where you paid then got the rest of the holiday free ish is a thing of the past. Still a brilliant place for the kids as well as decent entertainment for all.
The place is awesome. The staff are friendly, the food is yummy, the rooms are comfortable, and the activities are awesomely fun.
Absolutely loving it, at the mo I'm in the pool area listening to 70's music blaring out xx
In general it was great my rooms are very small, the beds uncomfortable and the name of the larger pool and justify but even if it is the largest are not necessarily better (personally I prefer those center park)
Great for kids and adults alike! Clean and tidy! Lots to do! Enjoyable environment but very busy!!
my 1 year old nephew was sick asked for some clean bed sheets but we was asked to leave as soon as possible bit of a nightmare trying to arrange to be picked up 2 days early
Another great holiday at butlins and we all can't wait for next time !
Great place to have a holiday or a short break. All you need Is there, no need to go off site for food or anything else . It's Just brilliant for both young and old..The entertainment is always excellent, But. The water park swimming area is second to none, And it's worth a visit for that alone.....We absolutely love it.... Just cannot get back soon enough..... You could say that the B in Butlins, Stands for Brilliant Lots of love to the Butlins Bunch. See you soon. From Bri n Sue Watson, Wickersley
Disappointed at the swimming and funfair closing at 5pm
Rooms not cleaned door lock broke which took 3 days to rectify spent most of the week in guest services complaining which is not something i ever do it was that bad
70s weekend was very good. Excellent live entertainment with comedy slot from Mick Miller. Brotherhood of Man, Slade and Mud were good, Bootleg Blondie and Bootleg Bee Gees were very good. The highlight for me were The Alter Eagles, they were phenomenal. Only disappointment was The Bay City Rollers, who in their slot, didn't do all their own songs. The Pub & Kitchen had more sophisticated environment and the cocktails were authentic with full alcohol content. Wow!! The Deck was excellent dining experience, fully recommend. Fantastic choice plus bespoke dishes cooked on demand. Every member of staff in all venues were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made it a very positive experience and they came across very genuine. The only criticism of my stay was the big puddle that blocked main pathway to my accommodation. With adverse weather before and during my stay and with no drainage, it was there all weekend. There was no attempt to sweep away. That is main reason giving 4 stars instead of 5 stars. Fully recommend this venue, will definitely visit again.
Brilliant holiday resort. Great for familes. Something for everyone. Swimming baths brilliant.
Spring harvest excellent cleaning of rooms not up to standard, certainly not as good as previous visits
Great base for us the explore area. Evening entertainment was great too. Only slight problem for me was how far away the Gold accommodation is from skyline, as I have mobility problems. This ment I didn't stay out very long at night due to the long walk back..
Great resort, however very busy. Lots of queuing, however brilliant for families with Children.
Butlins is definitely formatted for a young family clientele. I found that for children (especially boys) of 13+ there was little scattered for them and the things that were available were all costly which in due respect to the cost of the break makes for an expensive visit there.
