Great park!! Awesome rides. Great for kids and adults. The Food and Wine festival was really good. I've been to the park 3 times since it opened this season. Next time I go will probably be during the Christmas Town season.
An awesome experience from start to finish; however, be prepared for your visit to be expensive - entry tickets, parking, food, drinks, souvenirs.
Walking through the front gate, you can already tell that you've entered a breath-taking, flower-trimmed wonderland. The grounds are impeccably kept. You can hear the screams from those on the massive roller coasters available throughout the park. All employees are so well trained that no matter what, they will greet and help you with great enthusiasm throughout your visit.
Strollers, wheelchairs and electric mobility scooters are available for an additional fee.
Be prepared to spend quite a bit on food that's available nearly everywhere you go. It's pricey - but well worth it! Everything you buy - meals, drinks, etc - it's all top notch. Restrooms are plentiful throughout. There will be heavy crowds during the summer but the flow is very doable. All sorts of free offerings in the way of rides for all ages, shows and events planned, including some popular concerts.
Parking comes at a hefty price if you want to keep your car close to the entrance. Otherwise, there are lots where you can catch a tram that will take you to and from the entrance.
Busch gardens was refreshing to go to. We had Hershey Park season passes for a few years which taught us alot about planning our trips to an amusement park.
We spent 2 days there and enjoyed several aspects of the park, it's layout and design. It was well thought out and flowed well. Looking forward to going again. The Pet Shenanigans show is a must watch!
Hilly park but lots to do for kids, teens and adults alike. Beer and wine help too. Good food.
No matter how many times I come here I always have a good time! I love Howl-O-Scream!
Fun place year around. Really like Halloween time but too crowded.
Had a lot of fun! Rain closed down the rides for awhile but we watched the shows and they opened again. Spark was awesome!
Wife fell dislocated elbow and shattered bone emergency team said she was fine and got rid of us as fast as possible spent most of Christmas eve at local hospital Busch Gardens will not respond or accept any responsibility although they had turned out the lights in the theater causing the accident stay away from this place unless you have your own decent insurance
Really really nice well maintained park. It is very expensive for a ticket to get into the park though. I don't feel it's worth the price of admission. They do have "fun passes" though that allow you to get into the park the rest of regular season on the price you pay for one ticket. Very nice and well maintained though.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is a very family friendly park. The grounds are kept pristine and in good condition. Guests can enjoy nice views of fountains, a man made lake, and beautiful flowers and plants. If one likes learning about animals there are horses, wolves, eagles, birds, fish, etc... And there is even a couple of shows regarding animals. The park also has five roller coasters, and other types of rides. Game booths and a variety of dining options are available as well. Through out the year Busch Gardens has various events and concerts. If one wants entertainment, there are different types of shows through out the park. One of my favorites is the Irish Dance show in the Ireland section.
The downsides of the Busch Gardens is it's expense; the cost of a one day ticket is $90 for one adult and $15.00 for regular parking. Food is very expensive too.
There is a lack of indoor facilities; the only indoor facility that can hold lots of people is the Das Festhaus in the German section. A lack of indoor facilities is no fun when the weather is inclement or during the colder months when the park has the Christmas Town program.
Also, I noticed a lot of employees do not look happy.
Awesome that they had a military veteran special offer for us. A few rides were unavailable at times.
I enjoy coming here with friends. Groupon got great offers for Busch gardens. Parking is so easy to get in and get out. Very organized.
Thid is probably my favorite theme park. There are lots of roller coasters and if your not really into rides they have shows and lots of things to look at.
The rides are fun. We went on a Monday, half the shows and food courts where closed. For 2 small pizzas and 2 pretzels it was 35 bucks. The pizza was gross.
Good for a Couples day but wish it where more kid friendly
Great family outing with plenty to do and good food!
We are season pass members but this review is for the special event Christmas Town that is held in the winter. Busch Gardens really pulled out all the stops to decorate and set the mood for Christmas town. In addition to the ascetics the meal we had at the lunch with Rudolph event was outstanding for what we paid. We'll be attending Christmas town again next year.
This is our favorite amusement park on the East Coast. We have three young children and there are lots of rides for everyone. The park has a lot of wonderful landacaping and many large trees to offer shading of the walking paths and activity areas. Buildings are thoughtfully designed and themed. A variety of food types are offered throughout the park, and prices are not outrageous.
Always fun but was hoping for a special event with Stephen Walsh's visit.
Entirely way too many people there and the Attractions for Halloween were exactly rhe same as they have been for the last 5 years. Its just insanely boring for me. In my opinion. Also, after about 4 or 5 P.M. I along with my family were forced to navigate our way through huge swaths of drunkards. All of the attractions wether rides or haunted mazes. All of them were a minimum of 1 hour 45 minutes or more...!
Wish they would make maps to take around with you for Christmas town. I think we made a few circles trying to get out, but it was really good. And a great experience.
Great place with beautiful gardens and wonderful attractions. I miss the brewery tours they used to do long ago. Crowds have been really bad as popularity is very high.
It was amazing the rides were great the lines go fast and every ride is unique
Awesome park. Clean. Great rides. New stuff and always expanding. Expensive but to be expected from a amusement park of this caliber
My favorite place! I love coming here with my friends!
the best park, in VA, love going for howloscream each year. lost a star because my Spaghetti with marinara sauce was cold and my Mozzarella Sticks was too. i guess it was because of the time we got their park opened at 5. My sister had the Garlic Herb chicken which was outstanding , i recommend going to Josephines for ice cream
Nice clean park, lots of rides, food is good but expensive.
Very nice place, ofcourse lines are big, be ready for that, but it's fun for adults and kids.Huge place,be prepared to spend there the whole day,so make sure you are dressed appropriately. Parking is $20.
My family and I go here all the time. We hold season passes and absolutely love visiting the park. We always have a great time and try to bring friends with us whenever we can. There's so many different food options, entertainment options, and rides. As always we have a great time here and we will be back. I would absolutely recommend this place for a visit if you haven't been!
I always love going to Busch Gardens!!! It's so much fun!!! The pictures are actually from 2 different trips and HalloScream is always so much fun!!! Last year I was too afraid to go into any of the haunted houses but this year? I WENT IN ALMOST ALL OF THEM!!!
Soooo expensive but that's expected. Christmas Town, howloscream and regular park are all amazing. They work very hard for excellent atmosphere and a family friendly air. Love Busch Gardens. Just eat before you go ;)
Here for opening day 2019 park is Great as ever.....Season pass holder the new pin trading seems to have taken off....
Not as nice as in years past. Many sections didn't open until 1100 am on a Saturday in July and prices are much higher.
Once inside, if you are only riding rides or playing games, it is enjoyable. Getting through the gate, paying a huge parking fee, takes forever. They cannot seem to get that situation fixed. It gets worse every year.
Eating - you will stand in line for 30 minutes to an hour for overpriced food.
We have been season pass holders for many years and the above gets worse every year. This is our last year as pass holders.
The rides were great and animals are beautiful. Food and drinks are pricey but that comes with the park.
It was very fun! All the rides were very fun to ride. Very good food. Beautiful park. I was very lucky to be there on a not so busy day.
Had a great time here. Lines were non-existent with the largest wait time being 20 mins. Was there in late April. Great time to go.
Nice place to stroll and enjoy even without going ride crazy.
Good time but get there early. Avoid the loch ness monster line.... Go to other rides first.
Wow! Definitely going downhill every year! Half of the decorations are gone. The attitude of the stupid security guard at the entrance! (The one from Boston). Don't buy the meal tickets they are a complete ripoff! The haunted houses were closed early Friday evening due to Fighting, not a fire. Half the restaurants were either closed or closed early!! We may never come back!
Been going here for more years than I can count at least twice a season. Summer would just not be the same without Alpengeist, Griffon & Apollo s Chariot!!
Employees friendly and helpful. Shows were very good. The park was spotless even after hurricane Michael.
So much fun for all ages! Lots of roller coasters! Sesame Street area for kiddie rides and shows!
Rides of exciting food is spectacular and the shows are just breathtaking it's got us it's one of those you got to see
I got stuck on the water Rapids ride because it started raining. I hurt my back while sitting in an uncomfortable position. I was almost tipped over while in an wheelchair by Pete. This wasn't a good trip.
I've been going here since I was in diapers and I honestly have to say they've given up. They used to push the saving animals and being a great family friendly amusement park but now it's always dirty, overpriced, and just plain boring. Most of the staff are nice but if you're not drinking it's not fun honestly, but that's why they sell drinks at EVERY place.
It rained and things shut down so I couldnt enjoy my self but it was ok lots of walking it was kinda confusing
Always a great time! Disappointed that I felt like I wasn't getting the full experience (all shops were not open) on a non-peak day, but had a day's worth of fun regardless.
Every year is worse than the last. Closing whole areas down, rides opening at times different than the park. Food service delays. Cleanliness is worse. Even Hollow scream is a bit of a let down than previous years.
The lines were long but they went by quickly because of how many people were put on the ride. This park is separated by different parts of the world like Italy and Germany and Ireland just to name a few and there are three different ways to travel around the park. Walking, Riding the train or taking the Skyride. There are animals to see while there and they are interesting. The food is amazing and the rides are definitely worth waiting in line for.
An awful place to come to during Cristmas I paid 45$ to ride rollercoaster and see lights with my family. The only coaster open was verbolten and I paid 7$ for unsalted fries with a pinch of parmesan cheese like tf there fing fries. The lights are nice as long as you dont look how bad the trees are.
I love Busch Gardens! The people who work here are always friendly and there is a lot to do.
Took the family for the holidays. We had an amazing time. It was truly a winter wonderland. The entrance fee was very affordable. The food was excellent too. We are fans of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, but will make the trip to Williamsburg again.
Don t buy a membership!! We were planning a visit in October and purchased an unlimited membership since their website said it would get us into this special event. NOPE! They were already sold out (but were still selling memberships with this claim.). Called twice to cancel or defer membership but were told no, we had signed a contract. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that the call was now ended and he hung up on me mid sentence. Horribly disappointed by BGW treatment and false advertising. Please beware before buying a membership from them.
This is such an interesting place to visit. There is literally an activity for every personality which makes this a great family day adventure
Awesome time as always! Did the park open to close shows were great, fireworks were great, the food was epic.
Amazing vacation experience here. Perfect weather made this a vacation to remember
Christmas Eve at Busch Gardens was Beautiful and Enchanting!! We had a wonderful time. This park is always so clean and the people were so kind and helpful. We were SO IMPRESSED with the imagination, planning, and work that went into decorating the entire park. It was magical. If you haven't seen Christmas at this park you need to go. You will NOT be disappointed.
Love taking family trips here! It's a tradition! Be sure to dress comfortably with a good pair of walking shoes.
We had some issues with our tickets but they were very helpful. Had fun even with the limited time. They've actually closed the back half of Germany; from Fausthaus to Ireland. So no griffin, the wood rollercoaster, turkey legs , alpengeist, etc.
This new reservation system keeps everyone safe but is an absolute pain in the . Good luck getting more than 2 tickets for the same day. It's a whole day process. Hopefully things will get back to normal next year.
Great actors!!! And great haunted mazes. I love the scary electronic maps. The circus and the dark harvest are totally recommended!
Depending on crowds always a fun place. Rides, showed and food were great. It is the cleanest and nicest looking park
Bush Gardens is a great park and a lot of fun for the whole family. It has 5 different coasters, lots of shows, great kiddie rides, and even a place where you can paint ceramics and they will mail it to you when they finish firing it. Well worth the price of admission.
Go for the fun but pack your lunch and save a ton of cash. The rides are awesome and the shows were a hoot! Go during the week . . . Weekends the lines are too long for the rides. Staff is very nice and if you do choose to eat there I recommend the fest haus. . . It's got a ton of choices. The park is nice and well kept. No overflowing trash cans or litter all over. I recommend the train that runs around the park and the sky flyer as a means to travel and to take a break! There are picnic tables by the parking lot we were in so that's an option to eat and save cash.
I love Busch Gardens. I have been going since it first opened.
The weather played nice. The mid-summer flash sale of 50% off was awesome. Crowds were low being that it was a Monday. Another great visit.
We love Christmas town. During the year there is something for everyone: children, thrill seekers, and people who just want to enjoy the scenery and plays
Went here about 10 years ago and although there is no brewery any longer, the park still holds true to how I remembered it.
I appreciate as well being able to see all their shows and ride every roller coaster without the worry of an additional cost. I used the busch gardens vacation planner and did ultimate eat free. This included my hotel, 2 meals a day <meals included desert/side, drink and entree>, a snack, and a souvenir cup <with refills included for length of stay rather than one day>. I highly recommend this package. I only opened my wallet for souvenirs! A note: I stayed in the holiday inn express (the one built in 2016). This was a 5 minute drive from the parks.
The park itself is incredibly clean including the restrooms. This was quite a relief.
The food was great in every country and tried to match the areas "country of origin".
There are a ton of roller coasters to satisfy thrill seekers, as well as many shows and animals for everyone else.
Overall I highly recommend this park to all my friends!
The staff were great. I took my family there and the kiddie ride staff really made us feel welcome thank you. The roller coasters for adults really make you have an adrenaline rush. Love the aviary.
For the most part it's a awesome place but some workers need a new job because of their people skills are horrible
Went to Christmas Town last night with our grown kids, spouses, and 1 grandkid. They loved it and so did we. What a way to get the family into the holiday spirit.
It was a lot of fun for the whole family. A bit too crowded , I think it would be better if they limit the number of tickets/people per day. It would be nice to have healthier & organic options in the restaurants. Accessible. Can rent a motorised scooter for $50. The park is beautiful to roam around. Lights at night make it more magical. Neat & clean.(visited in 2018)
Awesome place! Halloween decorations are really cool and creative.
I had fun.
Food was great
Great experience. Lots to do for all ages . Trolly was great to get from the parking lot to the main entrance.
Best rollercoasters in Virginia! Nice & clean park as well.
