Solid water park close to Busch Gardens. Definitely worth adding to your vacation down to the area or to an annual pass for residents. Only drawback is that some of the attractions were down, which is disappointing for a park that only opens seasonally every year.

For the price of admission, season pass - the best deal for a water park. It can get crowded with long lines but that is with any park. You can bring water bottles in so bring your own and save $. They don't allow outside food/drink, but leave it in a cooler in your car and eat lunch at the picnic tables in the parking lot if you are trying to save $. Overall great deal.

The park was fun. Our kids had a good time. We have yearly passes that we received as a gift.

The park is ok. It is not as clean as it counterparts in Virginia.

We will likely use our passes for the year, but not renew based on the cleanliness of the park, or lack thereof.

1st of all I will say that I am soooo thankful that this part of my Busch Gardens package.
There is absolutely NO precautions here. Why bother to wear a mask in when you are definitely exposed once you are in.Most hand sanitizers were out. Also if you have children under 42" you have the great options of a wave pool, swimming pool, 2 splashing pads and that's it.The navigations are so confusing and rules should be posted way before you get in line and not announced once you have waited in line or get to the top, like how many riders must be on the tubes.Even the kids were ready to leave after an hour. They settled for the pool that was overly crowded. Just an awful experience especially when you can pay $5 parking and go to any beach to go swimming.

Horrible.. Overall the parkis nice. The problem is the lines.. They had no staff.. So u would be in line for an hr just to get a refill. I hv annual passes but i would not be back. Also if you go to Aquatica Sea world or Busch gardens with your pass your guest gets in for half the cost. At Adventure Island they give you a 7 dollar discount.. Really..

They change rules. And added height restrictions to the children side slides. It is not posted at the bottom when you enter and you don't get notified until you get to the top. Last year there was no height restriction for those two slides and my grandson Road them all year long. This year we get to the top and are told he's too short and he cried the whole way home. Thanks Adventure Island for ruining what was supposed to be a great day

I adventure island, and I think it is a great way to interact with your family. I think it is better than Busch Gardens because during the summer in Florida it gets super hot. And at adventure island the rides are full of water and they're a couple of fun pools too!!! You should definitely go there!!!

Adventure island was tons of fun. The only think I had trouble with was the cabana prices. It's like they kept upping the prices the more we talked about them... but other than that, the park was a great place.

Living local, my family and I have been going to Adventure Island for many years. The water rides are so cool! However, it was great in the old days... you could bring in coolers and sit in the picnic areas inside the park and eat/drink. You use to be able to find a great covered area to relax, but today you have to pay $100+ to rent most covered areas. The food is great but the lines are so long. You think that the park would have all registers open for the summer, but they don't. The food is very expensive. Yes they have a meal plan for $35+ but it does not include the snack areas, which are expensive also, $8 for a large dipndots ice cream. If this is a family park they might want to go back to the "old days", when is was awesome and affordable.

It was Awesome. But I had a pair of shoes stolen from my stroller, and the staff literally laughed in my face saying there's nothing they can do.
I understand if you can't do anything but a little common courtesy could go a long way.

Rides weren t bad and they had so much shade which was a huge surprise. We got there when they first opened and there was almost nobody there. Plenty of umbrellas with chairs to park your things. It s very unorganized. The staff....... wow..... they were some of the rudest, most unprofessional, least helpful people I ve come across. They are too busy talking amongst each other to help anyone, or say hi, even after you greet them. And forget asking them a question because that is a huge burden on them. I will point out that there were two friendly staff members and of course I got their names so I will point them out. Shelly and Ember was how the park spelt her name but she said that it was Amber.

Had an amazing time with my kids. Weather was perfect. Its Saturday and I was surprised that it was not as packed as I thought would be. We got there early. Got in just as they opened and started going to the slides. We were done by 130pm. I have the anual pass and will be returning soon.

I have been going to Adventure Island since I was 10 years old, over 30 years. Many changes have taken place, not all good unfortunately. This year the parking is up to $25. I have a annual pass and get my parking for free but would never recommend any of my family who visit Florida to come here. Sure it's fun, but the $25 to park is ridiculous. Especially on top of the ticket price. And no longer being able to bring in coolers for drinks and food is a big letdown so that's another added expense for families. I know you can leave a cooler in your car and schlep all your wet kids out to the parking lot to the picnic area but that's not worth it either. Hopefully some good changes will come next year!

I Went Their Yesterday And This is My Opinion: Staff Was Nice. Runaway Rapids, Splash Attack, Fabian's Funport, The Lazy River And Wave Pool Were All Perfectly Fun But The BBQ Tasted Like Cardboard And The Ropes Which You Had To Climb On To Get To Some Of The Slides Made Your Feet Throb. I Would Definitely Recommend Holding Your Shoes While You Are On The Slide Instead Of Taking Them Off On The Sidewalk Or They Will Burn Your Feet Really Bad, Or You Might Actually Burn Some Of Your Own Skin Off Like It Happened To Me. Take It From Me And Don't Go To Mango Joe's. The Bathrooms Weren't That Clean. And The Water Needs To Be Heated.

Although the rides were fun, the crew are horrible. Most of them are completely rude, treat you with no respect, especially at the food stands. A lady that I ordered from was not friendly at all. Why the attitude? She literally gave me the rudest look when I asked her a question like uhm if you don't like your job you can leave. Very unprofessional Selena

Love taking my boy to Adventure Island. However it bothers me that on occasion several of the big rides don't open until after the park opens. In addition a few of the major rides sometimes don't open till even noon. I think that should be stated on their website so people know before they arrive what is open and when.

As usual, several rides were closed. The parking lot was intecate like a maze because they had big plants/trees in pots blocking off random lanes which didn't make sense to me and was a pest to maneuver. They may have a method to this madness, but it's annoying and I can't think of a reason. Snacks sell out way to early and they don't replenish. If you just want to go on the wave pool, lazy river, or a few rides, then great.

It's not fair to some of the shy kids with anxiety that all of the other kids cut in line so they have a hard time getting a turn on a slide also why the 3rd degree for asking for some ketchup for my chicken? Just to be cut in front of in line 3 times. Seriously can someone monitor the lines before I end my membership and visit Aquatica instead!

About Busch Gardens Adventure island

Busch Gardens Adventure Island: Tampa's Premier Water Park

If you're looking for a fun-filled day in the sun, look no further than Busch Gardens Adventure Island. Located in Tampa, Florida, this water park is the perfect destination for families and thrill-seekers alike. With over 30 acres of water attractions to choose from, there's something for everyone at Adventure Island.

One of the biggest draws of Adventure Island is its wide variety of water slides. From high-speed drops to winding twists and turns, there are slides here that will satisfy even the most adventurous visitors. Some of the most popular slides include Colossal Curl, a four-person raft ride that takes riders through a series of twists and turns before dropping them into a massive funnel; Vanish Point, which features two drop slides that send riders plummeting down nearly vertical drops; and Wahoo Run, a family-friendly slide that winds through tunnels and around curves.

But it's not just about the big thrills at Adventure Island – there are plenty of attractions here for younger visitors as well. The park's Splash Attack area features smaller slides and interactive play areas designed specifically for kids under 54 inches tall. And if you're looking to relax after all that excitement, head over to Rambling Bayou – a lazy river where you can float along on an inner tube while taking in views of lush tropical foliage.

Of course, no trip to Adventure Island would be complete without sampling some delicious food and drinks. The park offers several dining options ranging from quick snacks like hot dogs and ice cream to full meals like burgers or pizza. And if you're looking for something refreshing on a hot day (which is pretty much every day in Florida), be sure to check out one of the many beverage stands scattered throughout the park.

But what really sets Busch Gardens Adventure Island apart from other water parks is its commitment to safety and cleanliness. The park has implemented several measures aimed at keeping guests safe during their visit including increased cleaning protocols throughout all areas of the park as well as social distancing guidelines on rides and attractions.

So whether you're visiting Tampa with your family or just looking for an exciting way to beat the heat this summer, be sure to add Busch Gardens Adventure Island to your itinerary! With its thrilling rides, kid-friendly attractions, delicious food options, and commitment towards safety measures - it’s definitely worth visiting!
