It's was a great experience, I highly recommend this wonderful water park.
It's was a great experience, I highly recommend this wonderful water park.
Can't speak for many if the rides, spent most of the day in the lazy river. Highly recommend renting a Cabana, it makes for a much more relaxing experience.
It was fun and Easy to enjoy with other family members would be happy to come back some other day :)
NOT BABY FRIENDLY!! They would not allow us to bring in our babies life vest or floaties and could not provide us with one either!! I checked every single lift vest rack and none had a vest for children under 30 lbs. I asked two lifeguards and two security guards and none of them would help me find one and knowing this would still not let me bring hers in from the car. I guess they would just rather she drown. On top of that I brought a cooler with her food and they would not allow the cooler in because it was hard and not soft and I asked why and the guard said I don't know. If you have small children you know you can't make them eat so by the time she was hungry the yogurt and milk we brought her was warm and unedible so we had to leave. Very disappointed with these arbitrary rules. Poorly run business!!
It is one of the best parks that my family and have visited. I. For him summer almost every weekend, I recommend them. They will see how they will be repaired.
I fell last year going up into the pavilion at the end of the day.
It was pouring down rain. I had my grand children with me. We were
going slow. As we got to the top I wiped out face fwd, thank God.
Had I gone backward I may not be here today. Somehow the way I
landed, It was a miracle I pretty much only did real damage to my ribs.
Probably the smallest claim they could have I flat out told them I was
not looking to sue them, just wanted them to pay the medical bills.
GUESS WHAT.... They didn't even call me back, the sent me a letter denying the claim without any reason. BEST OF ALL THEIR 1ST AID
WORKERS TOOK CARE OF ME IMMEDIATELY AND WANTED TO CALL EMS. I REFUSED B/C I HAD FAMILY THERE TO TAKE ME THERE.
SO BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU DO.
DENISE
I will be back...my family really enjoyed it...look forward to coming back
It is ok to come here on weekdays very crowded on weekends and holidays
Not really good for a handicapped person , but your kids will enjoy it
If you re a Tampa bay local or anywhere near just buy the Annual pass combo. $104 per person and you get double parks all year no block out dates. Worth it. Worth it. Worth it.
We bought the BG & AI annual pass and they re obviously worth it. I don t have any of the complaints other people seem to have. Staff is always really nice and pretty helpful.
Yea the food is overpriced but isn t it at any amusement park? So by that standard the prices are good actually.
Someone said they visited a month ago and the pools should have heaters.... UM, What? It s florida not Michigan. Carry on adventure island, you don t need heated pools lol
The slides are fun and while I m sure the lines can get long we haven t been on a day where we ve waiting more than 5 minutes for anything.
I ve never been into any of the bathrooms and seen them filthy.
We use our BG cup and get the $99 refills.
Overall 10/10
It s nice place to be for water rides /slides in Tampa. You will love it. It is well made for all generations of people.
Really love this park but last few times a lot of rides were closed made me sad.
Bath rooms were not good and the line for lunch was not much better no forks? Went to the next food service forks everywhere? Still not sure why I couldn't bring in a portable speaker had no intention of bothering anyone
Its the best it not that far away for people and they have i kid section and i lazy river
I haven't been to a water park in 20 years and had the best time ever! All of the rides are fun, there's plenty of space to chill for everyone, and the lines aren't hours long.
Awesome slides for the ones I was able to go on. Seemed like some were closed for no reason. Also terrible employees, very bad at giving directions and not nice at all. And dont go with a group of 3 because you wont be able to ride the best tube ride for some reason that the rude ride attendant didnt know.
Haven't been in a couple of years. I went with my 2 year old daughter and she had a blast playing all day. Can't wait to go back
Very good attractions, but better to skip the line if you don't want to wait for hours under the blazing sun. With this sesame we REALLY enjoyed the best slides
With social distancing measures somewhat in place lines wernt bad and crowds were tolerable my kids and I had an absolute blast and will definitely be taking advantage of our passes.
A number of rides we're closed. Cliffs we're closed not sure why. Considering prices are high you would expect rides to all be open. You don't get a discount if multiple rides are closed and we are visiting from Maryland.
They've changed a few things around since the last time I was there. It's still a great place to spend a hot day.
Has changed so much I have going there for 15 yrs. You can no longer take a small cooler, restrooms dirty depending on day and time parking to small. The food is too expensive. At least with cooler you bring small snacks especially with kids.
Attractions have the same lines as many rollercoaster parks but can only let 1 person at a time... So about 1h wait on any attraction. You can only eat junk food there no external food or drinks allowed and you know they are serious because police are running around allday every day there... I've seen less police on EDM festivals... Somewhere in their business model there is a flaw, which is the reason they have to constantly use the police... It takes away from your peace and relaxation...
Great summer fun, the only thing I disliked is that it was packed (to the point there were no tubes free for the lazy river... all day) and the amount of people that were in there were definitely not the cleanest about it. Their water is run through a filter on a recirculating system (which I didn't know until we got on a waterslide with a warning sign), so although there was probably an insane amount of chlorine but still a fair amount of nastiness. Fun but certainly bacteria ridden.
Always a good time, bummed about wahoo run and the rapids being closed, and of course the lazy river restrictions due to Covid. But they are handling it well and the visit was great! As pass holders we will of course be back again soon!
The new vanish point is breath taking and extreme excitement wait times are moderate but expected well worth it
It was clean. Nice place for families. Not enough covered tables being they are in Florida. It was hot and very crowded. Way overpriced on most of their food and drinks but most places are these days, not happy about that part.
I am very happy with this water park thanks for everything
Big attraction rides seem to always be down for repairs. quick passes prices change for holidays and cost more. lines move extremely slow. Restrooms are not kept up.
Great Park. But !
The gift store supervisor is a just little to full of themselve.
Fun place but management needs to take a look at the way Disney runs it's concessions!
Spotless water park with so many different levels of activity. Colossal Curl was great!
Alot of Fun..but needs better..not terrible..customer service and maintenance (pick up of garbage from where people sit under large umbrellas..i know many humans are gross)
Park could be opened longer. Rides are a ton of fun. Food is expensive. Parking lot is ridiculous, it looks like they just knocked over trees and paved over them.
Food and drink prices are sky high, ridiculous. Used to be able to bring in your own food, not no more. Staff is friendly, water is awesome.
Not too crowded. Lots of rides. Food lines take forever.
Water park with many slides, wave pool, children's area. Rest areas. Smoking area. Wardrobe. Sale of meals. Highly recommended
Went in October, so it was slow. Water was fun, slides were fun. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
It's a fun place, but if you have soft feet bring some water shoes or your feet will be killing you by the end of the day because everywhere you walk will be a rough non slip surface. If you have a hard time walking this is not the place for you.
Fun day. The day we went the we're almost no lines. I can imagine it can be not so great if it gets crowded.
So much fun! Great place to go do fast water slides or relax in the lazy river.
We Enjoy Coming here every Summer was my Family Since 2007!
Amazing Water Park, I had a blast! Recommended!! ^_^
Great family fun place! Float in the pool and down the lazy river or enjoy the adventurous rides.
Love this place specially their funnel cakes. It's best to get the annual pass to by pass the parking fees.
We visited the park (we are from Manchester England). It was reasonable priced to enter the park and my son (who's 12) absolutley loved it. We would have had a brilliant day but the day we was there the park seemed to have an infestation of love bugs so we had to leave early as we couldn't sit down with them constantly flying around.
Great for my Kid to go have Fun (I hope they have New Water Rides)
Not very good everything will be cloudy because very few friendly employees willing to help us
Guest services could use a revamp. Was made to pay for parking at booth with my platinum pass. Went to guest services for refund. 3 people on front of me but still a 25 minute wait. Then was told I would receive a credit on my debit card when I paid cash????? What? Then had to get several managers involved. I had to fill out a void form and wait an additional 20 minutes for their mistakes. All while trying to wrangle 2 toddlers by myself. Nearly an hour wasted because of complete incompetence.
Small but cool...except for some reason all of the sidewalk/pathways to go literally ANYWHERE in the park consist of the most heat absorbing substance possible, so if you are barefoot it is too painful to explain on this review. And you can't wear shoes on the rides (that are about 5 stories of stairs each, so be a triathlete btw) so it's pretty counterproductive since IT IS A WATERPARK, but other than that yeah it's cool. But I really wish they'd get it together bc I just got the annual pass and now my kids can't wait to go back but I really, really do not. Thanks Adventure Island, yay!
Everything is so expensive and too many restrictions. I am not planing to go again in a very long time.
We had a great experience . The park is big enough that you feel confortable to let your kids roam. The staff and the lifeguards are very courteous and on the constant lookout for any issues.
Some of the slides and rides were not operational. But overall the family had a great time. And the BBQ ribs and chicken available there were delicious!
Fun for all ages but customer service could get better!
I gave this 3 stars because the food lines are extremely too long! we typically spend about an hour waiting in line for "fast food" items! you can not bring in food, so this becomes a major inconvenience.
we love the rides and other water attractions. A nice family spot to stay cool during the hot summer days!
Busch Gardens Adventure Island: Tampa's Premier Water Park
If you're looking for a fun-filled day in the sun, look no further than Busch Gardens Adventure Island. Located in Tampa, Florida, this water park is the perfect destination for families and thrill-seekers alike. With over 30 acres of water attractions to choose from, there's something for everyone at Adventure Island.
One of the biggest draws of Adventure Island is its wide variety of water slides. From high-speed drops to winding twists and turns, there are slides here that will satisfy even the most adventurous visitors. Some of the most popular slides include Colossal Curl, a four-person raft ride that takes riders through a series of twists and turns before dropping them into a massive funnel; Vanish Point, which features two drop slides that send riders plummeting down nearly vertical drops; and Wahoo Run, a family-friendly slide that winds through tunnels and around curves.
But it's not just about the big thrills at Adventure Island – there are plenty of attractions here for younger visitors as well. The park's Splash Attack area features smaller slides and interactive play areas designed specifically for kids under 54 inches tall. And if you're looking to relax after all that excitement, head over to Rambling Bayou – a lazy river where you can float along on an inner tube while taking in views of lush tropical foliage.
Of course, no trip to Adventure Island would be complete without sampling some delicious food and drinks. The park offers several dining options ranging from quick snacks like hot dogs and ice cream to full meals like burgers or pizza. And if you're looking for something refreshing on a hot day (which is pretty much every day in Florida), be sure to check out one of the many beverage stands scattered throughout the park.
But what really sets Busch Gardens Adventure Island apart from other water parks is its commitment to safety and cleanliness. The park has implemented several measures aimed at keeping guests safe during their visit including increased cleaning protocols throughout all areas of the park as well as social distancing guidelines on rides and attractions.
So whether you're visiting Tampa with your family or just looking for an exciting way to beat the heat this summer, be sure to add Busch Gardens Adventure Island to your itinerary!
