Quite happy to take my money for council tax which pays for all the services you supposedly provide and I genuinely miss one collection of refuse, report as per advised, receive an email to say will collect within 48 hours! No show OF COURSE. Call to speak with someone to be told because I MISSED you won't collect, although you have emailed me to say you will. Cheeky c*w on the phone laughing when talking to me. When asked for her to put me through to a supervisor, told we're not allowed too we have to deal with the call. Well my dear you didn't deal with the call and you have one unhappy Burnley resident who was not happy with your attitude on the phone or the services provided. Don't worry there is a complaint coming your way for your lack of understanding, so you can go and take your smerk elsewhere!!

Generally a pain to deal with. Several times the waste team have come and emptied some or my recycling bins but not the others or left textile recycling behind. Street scene and other departments seem to take their time responding to emails then never fully answer your question. E. G. Just apologising all the time and asking the contractor to come back to empty the recycling bin they just left the 1st time isn't good enough. Surely if their job is to take away recycling and half the time they don't fully complete their job then someone should look into that? Council tax also are a pain to deal with. Overall evidently an under funded and under staffed local council. I know its local authority but people still pay their taxes so deserve a level of service.

About Burnley Borough Council

Burnley Borough Council is a local government authority that serves the residents of Burnley and Padiham. The council's vision is to create a place where families choose to live because of the clean, safe neighbourhoods, beautiful parks and unspoilt countryside. The council also aims to attract businesses by offering a skilled workforce, diverse, competitive modern economy and supportive council.

The Burnley Borough Council has been working tirelessly towards achieving its vision by providing essential services such as waste management, housing services, planning and development control, environmental health services among others. These services are designed to ensure that the borough remains an attractive place for both residents and businesses.

One of the key areas that Burnley Borough Council has focused on is creating clean and safe neighbourhoods. The council has implemented various initiatives aimed at reducing crime rates in the borough. For instance, they have invested in CCTV cameras which have helped deter criminal activities in public spaces such as parks and streets.

The council also recognises the importance of having beautiful parks within the borough. They have invested heavily in maintaining existing parks while also creating new ones such as Thompson Park which was opened in 1930. These parks provide residents with an opportunity to relax and enjoy nature while also promoting physical activity through various recreational activities.

In addition to providing essential services for residents, Burnley Borough Council has also created an environment that attracts businesses into investing within their jurisdiction. The council understands that having a skilled workforce is crucial for attracting investors; hence they have partnered with local colleges such as Burnley College to offer training programmes aimed at equipping locals with skills relevant to modern industries.

Furthermore, Burnley Borough Council recognises diversity as one of its strengths; hence it encourages entrepreneurship among minority groups through initiatives such as Enterprise Hub which provides support for start-ups owned by women or ethnic minorities.

In conclusion, Burnley Borough Council's vision is not just about providing essential services but creating an environment where people can thrive both socially and economically. Their commitment towards achieving this vision can be seen through their investment in clean neighbourhoods, beautiful parks alongside supporting local businesses through training programmes among other initiatives aimed at promoting economic growth within their jurisdiction."
