one of my absolute favourite places in london to go for food. service is always amazing and the little chef "in betweeners" are always superbly matching whatever you order.

do try and look on toptable before booking as there are often some great value deals to use for this wonderful restaurant.

Um, wow. I went here for a work dinner and was blown away. It's too smart to be a usual haunt but the service was incredible and the food...sigh. I had the winter tasting menu, which ranged from foie gras to the house special, carbonara ravioli, then venison. Of course, that's the short version as there were amuse bouches, petit fours, palate cleansers...and yet all so balanced that I left feeling like I'd eaten well, rather than stuffed myself. We met the chef afterwards and he was a real charmer too!

The 3 course meal is probably fair value at 45 pounds pp. Food was very good (not getting to Excellent by a tiny bit), but portions were somewhat small. However this is compensated by the fact that they serve an amazing bread selection which was to die for and also a surprise pre-dessert and post-dessert, which together with the pre-starter makes this almost a 6 course meal. As other comments say, I agree desserts are the best part (together with the bread).

Great homemade pasta (the parmeggiano bomba is relish) and good choices of secondi. I was missing a little bit more of fish. The restaurant has been changing chefs in the past years but it is still a good reference for the knightsbridge scene.

Great experience! I love the large seating area with the roof top windows. The food is really good (the sea bass was amazing) and artistically decorated. Service is pleasant and friendly. Great location. Certainly recommend.

The setting for The Lanesborough is just simply divine. I brought my friends here for high tea as they were visiting London. The service was a little lacking when we were there. We were getting quite angry when we weren't serve our scones/ cakes etc after about 45 minutes. It took them a while to come to our table to explain that they have ran out of certain sandwiches and it was going to take a while before we were going to be served. They then offered to serve us complimentary champagne which we refused as some of my friends don't drink. In the end, we had 50% off our total bill for the poor service, which was a nice gesture. The high tea served was relatively good but we left disappointed from the experience and I am not sure if we will head back there again.

Have been here for the afternoon tea and enjoyed every minute. Service is spotless as you would expect and the food was simply fantastic: full of flavour and variety. The selection of teas is also fantastic.
