Bully's East Restaurant Review

Excellent service, even better meals. The serving portions are just right so you don't feel like a stuffed pig afterwards. My steak was cooked perfect, my bf smiled after every bite of his prime rib. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, and we were even approached by the manager or owner (not sure which) during our meal just to check in and see if we were enjoying our meal or not. Highly recommend having dinner here, you won't be disappointed.

One of my favorite old school steak houses. Food is classic and good. Trust me and try the steak and enchilada plate.. trust me! They have a full bar with TV and special food offerings that aren't on the dinner menu. The kitchen is open late too. Friendly service is a hallmark here.

Our waitress Daisy was wonderful, also she was extremely attentive, and always wanted to know if we had everything we needed.
The food was undercooked and although we were checked on it never seemed to be cooked right. Then at the end my wife ordered a nice shot of tequila (Don Julio Reposado, on the rocks) I was brought a 1942 Don Julio Anejo whick was double the price.
Tonight seemed like a night of errors by the restaurant. Again our waitress was awesome and very pleasant, but it would be quite a while before we'd even think about going back there again.

Nice quiet afternoon snack.. Staff was very friendly. Food was delicious!!! I had the Brie appetizer. Yum Yum!!! Coffee was so good, I didn't need any cream.

A order was made on my birthday. a friend paid for it. delivery was made to a different address. and restaurant would not reprocess order and delivery to make things right. there customer service didn't help much. my last and only time i will ever order from them.

The service on 2 of 3 occasions was spotty. I believe they need more personnel on the wait staff as they always seem to be very busy.

There were over 70 people in our party we were there for a family reunion the food was good staff was great they even let us play our own music and dance.

Super busy and friendly staff. The environment is very lively. Great drink selection but the quality of the food is so so. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a group meal. You know if you're ok with average level food but a great time because your friends are awesome!!

I use to work there the owners a prick the cooks are terrible and the place has rats stake is horrible soo glad I walked out that place and joined the union iron workers local 377 now im a unioin iron worker till I die bby wouldnt be suprised if this place goes out of businesse soon very poor restaurant.

Usually get great service. This time around we were ignored about 80% of the time we were there. No attention whatsoever.

I moved to San Diego almost 9 years ago and always wanted to try this place.
It just attracted my palate.
It took me 8 years to finally go and I feel like I've been missing out greatly the years I didn't.
The have the BEST happy hour!
A huge happy hour menu from oysters to wings to French dip sliders.
All outstanding.

But let's talk about their 16oz bone in rib eye! Always cooked to perfection.

This place is my spot!
Find me in table 115 sipping a dirty blue with the blue cheese stuffed olives.

Wonderful beef selection. Side dishes are also very enjoyable. Place is casual and not fancy. But if looking for steak and a good bar on a casual setting, look no more. It is sort of a sport bar environment.

Nilton the manager is so rude and condensing not just to us but to other customers around us. Nilton made us feel scolded because of reservations, was rude to the other customers by us because they complained about their food and how it was presented. In a time when Covid is hurting restaurants the last thing to do is make customers not feel welcomed.

Great food. Easy to split a meal. Too much for 1 to eat. Masks make it difficult to hear waiters, so listen carefully. Social distancing adhered to

I recommend the prime rib over everything. The quality of beef is usually pretty good. Prices are very reasonable. Good happy hour and specials every day.

The atmosphere is dark (low lighting) which can be sometimes be good or bad. Bully's is an affordable San Diego local hangout, that is a must to check out if you like good steak.

Bully's East, always consistent, great crew to work with from the hostess, bartenders, and of course all the waitresses . ( come to think of it I've never had a way to hear I don't know if they have any Waiters sorry ladies ) Somebody in this company certainly knows how to hire people . You got to figure Management's great or this place wouldn't be what it is from the people at work here to the great food. Thank you management. Last dining experience our waitress was Kelsey. She's just great . I've never had a bad experience here and I've been coming to Bully's for a longer than most of you that are reading this have been alive LOL. The food is always very consistent very tasty great portions great value and selection.
Thank you to all behind the scenes to provide that of which comes from the kitchen. Somebody in his company certainly knows how to hire people Great choices on the menu, better selection of wines than most restaurants for sure. You can't go wrong by coming to Bully's. Thank you everyone.

Went there on a Saturday. The staff was very helpful and observant. It has a nice atmosphere.

Best prime rib in town and horseradish friendly atmosphere

I ordered to go and made the mistake of not checking the order before I left. 15 minutes later I got home and realized that they forgot my baked potato side.
The burger tastes like a frozen patty and the ceasar dressing gave an overwhelming aftertaste of onion.
I was very disappointed and will never go back.

Bully's got to be one of the best places to grab prim e. We finally were able to find a place to get some prime rib. We have been trying to find places to get prime rib and finally we found a place. As we walked it we were immediately greeted and in no time we were seated. Once we got to our seat we were served water and the menu. Our waitress Ryleigh was very attentive and pleasant. She knew the menu and was able to help us to pick the right dishes for is. I had the blackened prime rib with Brussels sprouts and my date had the regular cut with king crab and shoestring fries. The food was delicious. Usually we don't finish our food but this time it was too good. The portions were perfect for us. We will be back! Thank for Bully's and Ryleigh for a wonderful time!

Fish and Chips were excellent. Nice big portion, 3 huge pieces plus the chips.

Best Arnold Palmer. Brussel sprouts we're exceptional. So were the sliders.

Cozy place, been here a long time. Foods pretty good. Felt kind of bad my wife ordered a filet that had to go back twice and still wasn't right. She never complains. The server was super nice Kayla. She was super busy. So service was Uber slow. But normally pretty fast. If she wasn't so nice I would have been mad.Would I recommend? Not a must eat or see. But if your in the area and hungry or drink it's fine.

Having our company Christmas party here this week. Lots of kids will be there this year. Great prime rib and steaks. Like the private rooms for company dinners. Wonder what the kids will order?

Food ok. A little bland. Had flank steak salad. Place needs updating. Servers really nice

First time visit. It has a nice atmosphere interesting sports decor. We were seated quickly as the place was pretty empty. Honestly there wasn't a lot on the menu that looked appealing and had I not glanced at yelp reviews I wouldn't have even known about the early bird specials. I went with the prime rib w/ baked potato and a salad. The salad was fresh and crisp, though just basic. Either the knives were dull or the prime rib was sort of tough semi warm and the baked potato seemed under baked. When I requested extra butter she brought it out straight from a refrigerator, ice cold. If I ever find myself there again I'd go with the fish and chips.

Great Food. Would definitely return. Parking not so good, but only real drawback.

Went tonight (Thursday) for dinner. It was after 8 p.m. and the parking lot was only about half (or less) full. The place was pretty much empty inside except for people seated at the bar. We were told it was a 25-35 minute wait to be seated. I said, "You're kidding, right?" There were numerous empty tables (most of which needed bussing). We presumed the bussing problem was the issue, so we sat down in the bar (which was also empty except for a couple across from us and one single man) and ordered iced tea ($3.25) and a glass of wine ($9) and proceeded to wait. About 20 minutes later, we were brought our bar tab and told we needed to pay the bar waitress as the bar was separate from the dining room, and it couldn't go on our dining check. Odd, but we paid the check and continued to wait. Finally, when the waitress came to seat us, we asked for a booth as there were several empty booths visible to us. The waitress refused and said the only table available (although the place was empty of diners) would be a little table over to the side of the room. We left and won't return.
