I came in for an oil change this past week. I normally don't enjoy working with the service area of any dealership. However, the Service Adviser, Andy Schocke was extremely professional and helpful. In addition, while waiting, a lady came in to check on me within the first 5 minutes to make sure I was okay and to see if I needed anything. The oil change was completed in a timely manner and overall it was a good experience.

brought in my vehicle to find out why it runs like a piece. I had it scanned for free several times before I got to the dealership no codes no service engine soon lights and this dealership scanned it again and charged me 85$ and told me nothing is wrong with it after I said I had it scanned and whatever is wrong with it its not throwing a code so why would you scan it again? 2014 Chevy Captiva have engine problems burns oil and timing chain issues and mine needs a timing chain/new engine thanks for the scan for 85$ google reviews tons of people have blown engines on the captiva thanks for the recall chevy

Have been here for service with other vehicles and enjoyed the experience, and recently had a Great Leasing Experience with a new vehicle. The salesman made sure to review many of the vehicles features rather than assuming I knew them, and followed up with a phone call a few days later to make sure everything was good. Truly a Great Experience.

Great dealership! After feeling like I was getting scammed at local dealerships, I decided to try Buff Whelan. Darrin was amazing! He helped me get the vehicle I wanted for a great price. He was great at working with me over the phone since I live an hour away. I will definitely purchase future vehicles from Darrin!

Traditional car dealer with an updated attitude toward customers. While waiting enjoy some free coffee. My experience is with a single sales person, but he was friendly, knowledgeable, quick with the computer, open (would turn the monitor towards me to see the screen), genuinely interested in getting me the best deal - therefore thinking not about this purchase but about all the future purchases. I appreciated this mentality. Of course, all car dealer sale people say this; but few live it. My experience was they want your repeat business and treated me as such. And yes, I will be back.

I would give zero stars but since I can't seem to get a response from the service department on an online appointment I made with them. I can't say anything about the service they do since I can't seem to get them to do any service on my Avalanche. Get an email saying they will call to confirm my appointment and no such call was made. Even sent two follow up emails to get any response and nothing. Will be trying another dealer. I will find one that wants my business.

My whole family has purchased cars here. I bought a new car from here and they were awesome. I just recently bought a used car 4 months ago and its the complete opposite. My sales guy was great but the quality of my vehicle sucks. The people in the service department are rude, not friendly and out to get you. I will NEVER go here again. I will be looking into lemon laws in Mi because I dont want to get stuck paying for my car for 5 years which has many things wrong with it. It's not fair what they are doing to people.

Glassdoor is a website where employees and former employees anonymously review companies and their management.

Pros:
Just the owner, she truly loves everyone who works here. Brand new, or 20+ years. Loves everyone.

Cons:
You work long hard hours. Pay is okay, lots of other places start a lot higher. For being number 1 in the USA, you d think the pay would be number 1. At the bottom you get treated like you are the bottom by quite a lot of people who feel they are the untouchable elite. You will sweat all day long. No AC. Seems lately new rules just keep getting made up on the spot when they see fit which just makes things more stressful working in the heat all day not knowing when 1 person messes up and everyone is jailed for it. So if you think you can t get passed all that, come work here. Just walk that line they tell you to walk (might change lines several times a day) but just keep waking like your their dog, and you ll do great!

All & All service was good People very nice
But I had a unpleasant circumstance.(Which your Service Manager did address with me Thanks) What had happened is my Bug Guard was broken after there service & Car Wash. I know that it was not broken before going there. I keep my Vehicle very clean even under the hood.
I understand that your not responsible for aftermarket goods. I Get it. (Note your service manager offered me a free oil change Thanks)
My concern is that when I spoke with your service manager he had mentioned that the Mechanic had mentioned that he or she had noticed that the bug guard was damaged.But this was never brought to my attention. And I never looked at it before leaving there. When I noticed it was when I stopped at a store and came out of the store it was just dangling there.
I just wish that this was brought to my attention before I left your premises.
I never take my truck through car wash during summer/Warm weather and it has not seen a car wash since last winter.

I only have one thing to say about this place and it's HORRIBLE customer service! Made me feel like I shouldn't of even been there! Like I wasn't good enough cause my credit score isn't perfect. Not because of bad credit either, because I don't have much credit! I was actually told that if I had bad credit, my chances would be better ! I will never go here again or recommend anyone else too!!

I want to thank Buff Whelan for the recent service on my truck. My husband's truck had a CP4 pump blow apart. Anyone who knows diesel trucks knows that this is a major deal and a major repair. Buff Whelan got the job done with the utmost efficiency and we were back on the road again! All the way back from the purchase, Buff Whelan has gone over and above! Great job guys! I recently went to Buff Whelan for service on my older Buick. They seemed busy when I dropped the vehicle off but they got me in and out fairly quickly. They are a well oiled machine that s for sure. Everyone I encountered was so friendly and willing to help. Price was reasonable and my car was washed and smelled great upon pickup! They are definitely my new go-to for any future service and car needs.

Is not a bad option but not the best too.. is expensive than most service centres for oil change and and they don't check your brakes if u r not doing the tire rotation in the 18 or some point inspection. And the rep replying to the messages through allo said that they are open till 8.30 pm and when I reached at 7.10pm they refuse to sign me in for service telling 7pm is cut off time. Then after some talk and agreeing to get my car next day if they are not able to work on it, they accepted it. I hope every information need to be on same page than different infos when it's customer service.

They get zero stars from me. Their service department was awful. They did not listen to my concerns about my car. Basically dismissed me like I just didn't know what I was talking about and ignored everything I asked them to do. They kept my car for three weeks and still didn't fix the problems. When I got tired of fighting with them and told them I was taking my car elsewhere, they took TEN HOURS to print the bill to settle my account. I had to fight with the desk guy all day and complain to the general manager just to settle my account. I was told that my car was NOT A PRIORITY even though they knew I wanted to quickly get it off their lot. They were uncaring, slow and ignorant to the idea of good customer service. Will NEVER take my car there again and will tell everyone about their bad service. After taking my car to a different mechanic, they found that almost nothing had been done to my vehicle at Buff Whelan at all and everything needed to be rechecked. Terrible service! Not even an apology for the terrible service or the long wait. They didn't even care. They should be ashamed!

My only regret is that I went to a dozen dealerships before visiting Buff Whelan. (We are a Ford family, but now have 2 used Chevrolets sitting in the driveway).

Probably it was just me who had poor experience with them, but I was looking for a 2018 chevy equinox and had exchanged a couple of emails explaining my needs, still when I arrived, I was surprised to see a 2017 equinox for test drive. Whatever was explained to me regarding prices could have been sent over email so that I could have avoided the trip and wasted my time. The place is a chaos with no proper organisation of customer service desks, overall poor dealership place.

The sales representative worked hard to get to help me obtain a vehicle. That vehicle has long been paid off and had the privilege of building some serious credit thank to that purchase (an yes, I know that vehicle depreciate the moment I signed those papers,) but I had yet to post this review. Yes, it was a used vehicle, 11 years old now (and having a few issues, to my dismay, and replacement parts can be very expensive.) However, as far as customer service is concerned, the sales rep. was generous to work with me, which is what this review is about. I wasn't shown the door as soon as I walked in (you know, like some other place.) Of course, when you visit for an oil change or other forms of vehicle maintenance, you are greeted with a smile - yes, regardless of who you are or what walk of life you came from.

This is the best dealership and they have the best service in sterling heights/ Troy area. I had an issue with my camaro bent front rim which was causing my TPS to show wrong readings ( took my car to couple of dealerships in Troy and they diagnosed it wrong and one dealership forced me to go for rim replacement when it was clearly repairable as per GM). Not only buff Whelan identified the issue they are the only one who said it can be reparaiable. They did put customer priorities first and earned them a life time customer.

My car was taken in to this shop because it was stalling every time I was 1st gear. Brian at the service department mentioned that there were going to be more work done needed for our car, so we approved the work. Note: we paid over $850 to get everything done based on what they found. My husband even asked him to make sure they fix everything before giving it back to us. That was not the case. The first day we received our car back, there were coolants all over our driveway, so I took photos the next day. My husband reached out to Brian about the issue. We took the car back in. Now they are asking for another $250.00 because they are saying there was another leak. They are not about customer. They are about money. They should had never given our car back knowing it had another leak. They reached out to my husband and said they were only able to give him 30% off on the leak they appeared to have found. We had never had a leak on our car until it was brought here to this shop. Never again, I'll trust this shop. Please be aware when you take your car in. One problem leads to another and that is how there business is.

Update: 12/12/19
I was there yesterday to pick up my car for the 2nd time and my car didn't even make out the lot. After paying for the second round of repairs, my car would not start. My car have about 55,000 and NEVER once I had that problem. Because I was not happy (using work time, being frustrated), someone else helped me instead of Brian. This lady (too frustrated to get her name) went to get the service manager for me. I believe it was Don. He came out and look at my car. It was not starting for a few times, but he got it to work. However, the engine does not sound right anymore. It sounds as if it is going to completely break apart. I'm back to where I started. My car is still in their shop and they want to make it right. The holiday is coming and I don't have time for this when my time should be more concentrated with work and my family.

I am very disappointed in the service department and will NEVER take my car back! I will also never recommend this service department to anyone.
I have bought my vehicles and have been bringing them into this service department for more than 5 years. Today I was treated with a lot of attitude and disrespect for not being able to bring the rental back within 24 hours.
First off I would have never taken the rental if they had told me they were slow on Monday night and it would only be 20 minutes for my cars oil changed. When they called I was not able to make it back before they closed. I called on Tuesday to find out when they closed, I was told 5:30 at NO TIME while I was speaking to the lady in the service department did she tell me that if I did not have the rental back by then would I be charged $35 a day. Due to unfortunate situation I was unable to return it on Tuesday, I called first thing Wednesday morning to see what my option was for a time to return it and boy did I get nothing but ATTITUDE from the same lady in the service department... telling me that "it was a courtesy that they offer the rental and that they pay for it through the dealership to the rental company" she treated me like I did this all the time. I have NEVER been late at returning a car. Not 5 minutes after talking to her did I receive another call from the dealership telling me my rental car was due back the night before and I would be charged $35. I did take the car in during my lunch waited for ever!!!!!!!! was late for work while waiting for them to take their time checking it out paying for my rental and waiting for my own car.

I ve never made a review on google and this is my 1st time so I hope I m doing this right. There was something that happened and it has been bothering me ever since. So I hope this is the correct place for this info. I was with my aunt who s in her 70 s and she very hard of hearing. We was greeted by a very nice and friendly young man who even opened and helped her out of the car. Not sure of his name since sadly he was not wearing a name tag. But the women Sarah I think that s how it was spelled; was wearing one. (She has the fake red dyed hair).. she was very rude and demeaning. Not only to my aunt, but to the man who opened the door for her. She was basically yelling at her since she couldn t hear what she asked at 1st. Then continued to talk down to the other co-worker. I don t remember everything that was said but I felt so bad for the young man and even more upset for my aunt for the way she was treating her. Kept seeing her rolling her eyes at everything, especially when she said I can t get my car washed from something on my windshield.. When she pointed out this damage it simply whipped away. It was just dirt that was stuck on the window. Big eye roll again. You might want to train the person on what respect means...

To add, I know a no cell phone rule is pretty much impossible and unrealistic in today s day in age. But we waited nearly 5 minutes before we were checked in by a service writer person (people behind all the desks) to have our car looked at. All of the of them were down looking at their phones. If I m standing waiting, it just be nice to be a prompt check in when they are just unaware of their surroundings.
