Love this beautiful theater! They pack a lot of punch into this intimate setting. I've never seen a bad performance here! There's a pleasant seating area outside to relax in before the show, everyone here is nice, helpful, and just happy you're there. Tickets equal the cost of other professional theaters in the area, and there literally isn't a bad seat in the house. The parking lot is small but they do offer valet which was quite convenient; I had no issues with them. Attend a production here and you won't be disappointed!

Intimate theater with fabulous shows. For theater lovers it will be a great day. Good food and super drink menu. There is not one person who works here that would not happily go to lengths to accommodate your request.

The Bucks County Playhouse is a real treat. We saw " Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story" It was very entertaining. We were right near the front of the stage. The acting was a lot of fun to watch. The music was of a by gone era, but with music that even Millennials must have heard from shows, movies and such. I was six when Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper and Richie Valen died in a plane crash. Buddy was from Lubick Texas. Still, for me, the play was nostalgic, sad, and a lot of fun. I'm glad I had the chance to see it. At times, I just wanted to get up and dance. Swearingen & Keli will be at the Playhouse March 9. They're a girl and guy that play Simon and Garfunkel music. I heard a clip of them on You tube. The sound of their harmony and the in and out solo parts was something you would have to hear. I don't have the vocabulary to describe it. Suffice it to say that I was spellbound with it's beauty. The Bucks County Playhouse itself is an enchanting experience just to be there. People like Princess Grace Kelley, Robert Redford and Lisa Minnelli got their start there, among others. Angela Landsbury and other actors/ singers performed there. In fact, Grace Kelley's grand niece will play the same part that Grace Kelley herself played. That will be in March 2019, I believe. Dial 'M' for Murder will play there as well. They have a full season of plays and entertainment planned for 2019, which is there 80th anniversary including their reopening after a two year closing in 2010. They have just built on " The Deck", a restaurant with a full view of the river. You just walk out the side doors of the theater on the right side, and you step right into the the open air restaurant. The windows are closed in winter though, but they're air tight, no draft that I could detect. The playhouse building was an old grist mill near the river's edge.

Very nice SAG-supported venue for musicals and plays. Just saw "The Original Blues Brothers Revue" (only one sanctioned by the great Dan Ackroyd himself. You should also check out "The Deck", a bistro which recently opened up, for a pre-performance drink or unique menu items. Ask for Claire at the bar area for a quieter, great view eating experience.

To the management of Bucks County Playhouse I would to say your one and only employee CJ is awesome!
My husband and I came to your Outdoor dining for drinks and appetizers.
CJ was the only one working on a Saturday afternoon as host, bus person, bartender and waiter and not only sanitizing the tables
between each and every patron!
CJ did a phenomenal job balancing all that was expected and more!
Let me tell you my husband and I are both business owners and the exceptional value he provides for your business is over and beyond and is truly appreciated especially during the difficult times during COVID 19.
I hope you embrace and take care of your employees that make a difference for they are the front line of our businesses that contribute your success.
CJ, I would be so very proud to say you are a representative of my business.
I wish you well! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

The show we saw last night was fantastic. Sound was great and really well done. Convenient valet parking. The only downside was the seating. The seats were so tiny, uncomfortable and really packed together. I'm petite and had a hard time fitting in my seat. This would be a really great venue if the seating was better.

Have seen a couple plays here in the iconic, gabled, white building. Always well produced and entertaining. Has a wonderful outdoor plaza with a beer garden just off of Main St, but separated from the busy street by the Aquetong creek spilling over a small waterfall where it runs into the Delaware. There is also a short riverwalk with a broad view of Lambertville and the bridge.

Great theater and rich in history. Located right on the Delaware River in a beautiful neighborhood, The Bucks County Playhouse is a community staple. If you're looking for a fun family outing during the winter holidays, make you're way to New Hope to see some great plays!

First time here and it was post-renovation so I'm told and it was a wonderful place. We watched the Thanksgiving comedy and the show, staff and bar were all great and better than expected.

A huge renovation effort and radical change in programming and administration has rescued this historic theater from oblivion and turned it into an extremely exciting energetic professional theater. It should be on anyone's list visiting New Hope. Before the show we had a drink on the deck and took in the beautiful river view. Now if they could only make parking free for ticket holders!

I went with a group of 10 people this past Sunday to see Scrooge. It was the first time any of us had ever been there. The actual play itself was very good we all enjoyed it. The theater itself is also very nice. We had center row seats but were pretty or in the back but yet there was no problem hearing anything. Very good acoustics. The parking situation isn't so great. They actually tell you to get there an hour ahead of time to get parking. Which we did. Unfortunately even getting there an hour early there are no parking spots to be found. You really have no choice but to use the valet service which is $20. There was one car load in our group that parked a couple of blocks away and walked but we had a handicapped person with us and they could not walk that far and there were no handicap spots to be found. They have a very nice little Boris it up as soon as you walk in but I would like to see them with some type of a price list up. You have no idea how much any of the drinks are and you have to keep asking. It kind of holds up the line. It's nice to be able to bring a beer or a cocktail or glass of wine into the show but beware they are a little pricey. I was surprised to see some reviews that said they were not pricey. My son had a beer that was $9. I'm not even sure how much my drink was because I got it with a small bag of popcorn and for the drink and the popcorn it was $18. The bag of popcorn was basically about two handfuls. Someone we were with said they thought the popcorn might have been about $4 so that would mean my drink was $14. I'm not sure how much either one was. Also be prepared to wait in long lines to use the restrooms. The lines are quite long before and after the performance. With all that said we really had a great time it was a nice little Christmas outing with the family. And I would definitely go there again. I'm already looking forward to seeing what they may have planned for Christmas 2018.

Such a small theater with enormous talent on the stage. Two performers and a small band provided a performance to remember. The music was delightful and at times moving. And while I enjoyed everything and everyone, it was Sally Struthers who commanded the stage and made us laugh and cry.
