For the past 10 years I've been coming to this theater there have been so many improvements done to the building. It looks better than ever and has a new deck restaurant. The only thing that hasn't changed is the talent and the quality of the shows. Every show I've seen have been amazing! Rocky Horror (coming again this fall) played last year and I'm so excited it's back as the crew really hit it out of the park! Definitely coming back to see this one.
Just saw Mamma Mia last night and it was spectacular! Earlier this year I also saw Dial M for Murder and the show was also spectacular. For a local playhouse this is the best I've seen.
Excellent show! Jerry Lee Lewis actor was spot on.
Great show last night!... A little bite to eat after would have been nice!
Great place to take in a show, not a bad seat in the house.
Cheap prices good parking and a very nice theater. Everything about it is good. It's why I keep going back for more shows when done you can walk around the adorable town for a great night
42nd Street is a MUST see! I felt like I was on Broadway watching an old Hollywood glamour performance!
It had been a while since I have been at the playhouse. The renovations they did was very nice. I will be coming back to see more shows.
For my first time here, I had amazing time! I saw the Rocky Horror Story. It was a great show!
Beautiful views overlooking the Delaware River. Service and food were great.
The play we saw was good, but the prices for parking and snacks were insultingly high. No outside food, not even water and they charged $3 for a regular sizes bottle of water. Most theaters will have water set up for free at intermission. The tickets were expensive enough to warrant free parking, or at least validated reduced rate parking.
Smaller venue for great performances! Right in the heart of New Hope. Great place to catch dinner and a show. Full bar and restaurant in the same building. Vallet parking. ^^
Love, love Love! So happy to see it back up and running! Cost effective without losing quality of performance!
Wife and I saw Scrooge and had a great time. Great atmosphere and staff. Definitely hitting the restaurant next time.
Went to see In The Mood. It was fantastic. Took my parents and they were delighted. The attendants at the Playhouse are so friendly and very helpful. A good time was had by all!
Saw "Guy's & Dolls" with a group of six tonight. It was an extremely enjoyable and professional production, with a a talented group of actors. We had a great time. The evening was certainly enhanced by the ambiance of the playhouse with its comfortable seating, good acoustics, adequate restrooms, and dedicated staff.
I'll definitely return from NY when a new production strikes my fancy.
Great production of 42nd Steet, & not a bad seat in the house
One of my favorite places to see a show. Professional and intimate.
Great show. Lovely atmosphere. Cant wait for the restuarant to open.
Just saw "Once" today. Loved it. Refreshingly different. The staging, acting, music were amazing. Go see it!!
The Rocky Horror Picture Show was fun to watch there. The drinks we're not bad. The outside patio and bar out in front of it was swarming with hornets though!!!!
Saw Million Dollar Quartet there. Great show! Not a bad seat in the house.
It was our first show here and we went to see always patsy Cline. We had a great time really liked the show and the theater is really nice inside there isnt a bad seat in the place .
We went 2 a play it was very funny,it was the 1st of the season
Show was fantasticly funny. Drinks crazy expensive.
Loved seeing Rocky horror there, it was a great show I'll be back
If you have never been to the Bucks County Playhouse well then "Shame on you!!!" The crown Jewel of New Hope, PA.
Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cheryl and Me, need I say more? !
Great venue. Show about Patsy Kline was fantastic. But parking was a nightmare.
Saw The rocky horror picture show there twice & they've put on an amazing performance both times I've gone. I'd recommend this place for a night out on town if ur into having a good time.
This place is one of a kind. Quaint old theater with excellent chose
Not a bad seat in the house!! The shows are great! Definitely worth it.
Best Playhouse on the river, in the country, in a red building, whatever. Tired old retreads of shows that have been performed ad infinitum. A bunch of blue hairs, bused in, no creativity, no originality. Such a shame that a place like this can be the McDonalds of theater.
Really near small venue in New Hope, PA. Fun to go see a live stage play like Rocky Horror Picture Show , the cast is interactive with the audiance. Great for date night!
Unfortunately, very rude manager working today.
Snooty management =may not come back.
We paid $120 to attend your afternoon play... And I was distracted by a poor customer service interaction. Other staff was great and seemed to understand the difficult management.
The play was spectacular. Very friendly cast. Always a shame to have a bad experience while supporting the local arts.
Nice theater with good sound and sight lines. Dislike their policy of forcing valet parking at double the price at the meter.
Ate on the Deck. Very convenient. Play was well acted, and quality production. Would return in a heartbeat.
What a great small Theater! Even in the last row the seats are amazing. We saw Clue earlier this year and loved it. Great national productions in a local setting.
Great venue! Of course every production is different, but the one I saw ("Guys and Dolls" in August 2017) was fabulous. I had seats in the 7th row, but it didn't appear that there was a bad seat in the house.
Saw Buddy Holly and it was fantastic! The playhouse has been beautifully redone.
Wonderful production, very professional. Saw Guys and Dolls.
42nd Street is an outstanding production. Don't miss it!
Their back to the golden days of theater. Awesome Jewel in the heart of New Hope
First time there in December. I Saw Scrooge in December. I enjoyed the play and the actors and the food was really good. It's a fun place. The actors interacted with everyone before the play and entertained the kids. I never had valet parking before so it was interesting but it's a good entertaining family friendly place.
I have seen two shows at Bucks County Playhouse... One they produced and one from an outside group, and they were both awesome. There isn't a bad seat in the house.
Also, they sell some snacks and drinks in a special cup that you can take into the theater. I haven't been yet, but they also recently opened the Deck, and I plan to get there early next time for a drink and an app before the show.
Saw rock snd roll man. First time at bucks counyy playhouse. Nice venue but they could use more bathrooms
Love this historical theater right in our backyard! We've seen 5 shows here recently and we're blown away each time. Parking can be challenging, however they have friendly valet attendants to greatly simplify that
Fun local spot to go see live performances. The Christmas show was great, and it's a nice smallish venue to get to see the performances
Went to see The Rocky Horror show. Front row seats were amazing! Arrived there 15-20minutes before show. Easy in and out. Adequate parking in their lot and additional parking on the street (the show was at 11pm on fri night)... Friendly service -great little venue.
Small local theater, watched Rocky Horror Show in the front row, they provided all the props and it was really well done, professional performance.
Delightful theater. Bigger than you would expect but the sound quality is very high. Parking in New Hope is tight in general but much more so around this theater around showtime. You should try to be there a full hour before curtain. Shows start on time.
Went to see The Miracle Quartet. Uplifting and entertaining. Great performances by all actors A must see.
We saw 42nd Street. The cast was wonderful. The location was amazing. We did reserve parking (since New Hope parking is difficult on weekends, so it was well worth the price to avoid issues). There isn't a bad seat, it's intimate without being tiny, and comfy. This will be a go to place from now on.
I was at the play house for the first time a couple weeks ago and I have issues with the playhouse staff not the entertainment. I loved the Patsy Kline show immensely and I would see it again in another location. The staff in the restaurant and bar were kind and friendly and very accommodating. Yet the staff in the playhouse was so rude, they opened the bathroom door during intermission and it took your privacy away. The entire audience was singing and dancing in their seats yet an user came over and told me to quiet down do to the fact that one man behind me was miserable. (why attend a musical is all I am saying). Then my friend had nervous leg and needed to stand in the back to watch the end of the show and was told to sit down do to fire regulations. I understand safety yet they could of led her to a better place to stand so she could of enjoyed the end of the show. So bottom line go have dinner and drinks and find the same show in another location.
We loved the Playhouse's presentation of Mamma Mia!
Everyone was Wonderful a true 5 star plus experience
A beautiful little gem tucked into New Hope. The show we saw, Mamma Mia, was Broadway quality. The singers (lead & cast) all had beautiful voices and were excellent actors & actresses. The music was fun and very well presented. While I'm not a big ABBA fan, I still thought the play was first class. Well done from beginning to end (the scenery really was great too).
Great small theatre in New Hope. Wonderful at Christmas time. We saw Scrooge which was great. A comedic twist on the classic tale. Going back to watch Blues Brothers in January.
fantastic show, I watched the ebenzer scrooges Christmas special, it was awesome. I believe today's the last show and I strongly recommend it. playhouse is simple but elegant, I appreciate the bathrooms being inside the house, making bathroom visits less awkward. 10/10
Great time. Well operated. Clean. Good performance!
