The service and food is excellent. and the view is so beautiful

Love the food and waiter was great. The only thing that got missed was him asking us the trivia questions. It was my daughter's first time there. Also what happened to that news paper we didn't get 1 when we took 1 to go meal home

This chain of restaurants dedicated to Forest Gump and his shrimp, transports us sympathetically in the film.
The dishes are good there. But it is especially the nod to Forest and the difference that is interesting

We were seated quickly and the food was great! Our waiter was incredibly friendly and asked us trivia questions about the Forrest Gump movie. The view from this restaurant is incredible, you are almost sitting on the water and there is a huge window at the back of the restaurant so you can appreciate the view.

Always a great visit when I come here. This time good in particular as the whole virus situation has set limitations. They seated us outside and as space opened inside they gave us the option to go in and dine inside. I appreciate the staff for looking out for the customer.

Not alot of selection but the food was good and my husband really enjoyed the. Spinach and artichoke dip appetizer.

These guus were very accommodating with us pulling our 3 yr old in a large wagon. Helping us get to a table on the patio near the ocean. Food and service was exellent as always.

We just ate there and I probably will never go back again. I ordered the garlic bread and the shrimp scampi and it was terrible. It was way too much lemon on the sauce and I couldn't eat none of it and the bread never came. I told the server about it and al he can say is oh I'm sorry. I should have said I'm not paying for it but he should have offered to remove it from the bill as well. All the hype around Bubba Gump is just hot air not worth the long wait, the noisy atmosphere, and especially the nasty food!

It's your typical chain seafood restaurant. Great for kids(which is why we went) food is decent. They have healthy choices for kiddos which we loved. And they do a little Forrest Gump trivia..Bonus!! If you are a foodie, this is not your place

Not a good experience like years past. Slow service, several issues with my order and a less than enthusiastic waitress.

Food was awesome, But our waiter was rude and when we asked a manager to switch our waiter they did not, it made it unpleasant

I would give Bubba Gump's 5 stars if the wait wasn't super long! Our family put our name down at 1pm with an estimate of 2 hrs. It turned out to be more like 2.5 hrs. It is a looong wait. I only recommend this place if you can deal with the wait. The food was great. We got the Dumb Luck Coconut Shrimp (it does not disappoint!) and a bowl of gumbo. I liked both dishes for different reasons. The portions are pretty big and can be shared. Since we can only fare the wait once in a blue moon, this was a treat.

Bubba Gump is a great place to go for dinner. They specialize in seafood (specifically shrimp) and are named after the character Bubba Gump from the Tom Hanks movie Forrest Gump. This particular Bubba Gump restaurant is located right on the oceanfront in scenic Monterey, CA. I highly recommend having dinner here if you are visiting Monterey, as you can walk and shop on Cannery Row before/after dinner and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean while you eat. Be sure to make reservations as it is busy though.

The food was ok for a chain restaurant, but this location doesn't have air conditioning....it was HOT! Everyone in the place was sweating and uncomfortable!

Cannery Row, Friday night at 7:30, no lines or waiting, surprisingly. Bourbon Street Mahi Mahi was fabulous and well.spiced - not spicey or hot. This location was my first Bubba Gump experience 11 years ago and this trip was just as good as I remember. Will always find this place when I am on the road, have some time to myself and want a great meal at a pretty reasonable price for what you get. Good luck deciding what to have and ask your server anything - they know the answers and will help.

This was a fantastic experience with wonderful food, service and environment. We were there for lunch on a Wednesday and were seated next to a window with a view of the bay. The staff were prompt, friendly and very helpful-- and even went the extra mile to interact with our kids. It was a little pricey, as most of Monterey is, but we'd love to go back.

Usually great Service, But with recent visit did not receive our usual family fun experience. We were ready for movie question trivia. It was never asked We waited quite a while for food. As we watched bigger parties that arrived after us, get served before. We also realized we didn't recieve vegetables with dinner entree. Maybe understaffed.

It is an experience to do, especially for fans of Forrest Gump, the famous movie character and box office blockbuster. Excellent shrimp adorned with the American fantasy, "What's America"!

All the staff were nice, the coconut shrimp were on the sweeter side but the dips they offer were delicious. Mix drinks were great and didnt feel like they cheaped out on anything. The food was overall worth the price.

Took forever to get our food! Almost an hour! The waiter tried to keep us entertained with some Forest Gump trivia but we were pretty hungry after a day of driving and visiting the aquarium. Staff was friendly and nice enough to seat us a few minutes before or reservation. The food was delicious though!

Staff was very friendly and attended to our needs, food was amazing my first time having lobster and it was great.

Hard to beat the view and the food was way better than I expected. Even my sister didn't complain about the food or service and she always finds something to complain about! Finally, they got bench with shoes out front where you can take a picture too!

Worst seafood I have had. No local selection even though it is on the water. The waitress was awesome but still not worth the price of the bad food. Do not support a place that takes shrimp from foreign waters

This place is amazing has great service the food was pretty dang good and also come on it's funny the dacor in this place wonderful place to have drinks as well they're AMF drinks here are super strong and super I strongly recommend restaurant

We come here once a year. Staff is always nice, food is always fast and good. A bit pricey but the view is wonderful and this time we saw a sea otter and it was a nice experience. Good for families.

Horrible service. They had me hold the call for 10mins and then just hung me up. I WILL NEVER ORDER FOOD FROM HERE. Wasting of my time and money. Period.

6/17/20 around 7:45 pm. Compared to bubba gump in universal studio, when it comes to hospitality, the one at CANNERY WAY ,MONTEREY CA, is NOT hospitable at all. The reception guy in the front gave us direction where to go for take out, but since it is our first time at this place, he seems not to care that we don't exactly know what to do or where to go. He saw us standing by the door and didn't even bother telling us or helping us. Eventually a lady saw us and told us where to proceed. But then still nobody seems to care that we are standing there waiting and waiting to be help. We just decided to leave. The reception guy did not even say a word as he saw us passed by him.

Came during Easter weekend, so there was a bit of a wait to be seated. However, the host/hostess sends you a text when your table is ready, which gives you time to walk around Cannery Row and enjoy the views. They were very accurate with our wait time.

The food itself was very tasty, and the portions are large. We did not order any of the cocktails, which looked amazing but were extremely pricey.

We had a super sweet server who checked on us so often we always had a full water glass.

This is a fun place to eat on Cannery Row. If you like shrimp, this place can't be beat! I had the coconut shrimp and it was delicious! I recommend coming early, however, as seating can fill up quickly. I docked a star as the prices certainly seem to be high for what you actually get.

Waited more than an hour with a reservation. The food might be great but I'll never know since they wouldn't seat us. The only answer i ever got was "We're working as fast as we can to seat you," while they were seating other people that came behind us. I don't get to eat out often and not at nice places and they ruined it for me

Great service. Very expensive with tiny, tiny portions. After dining there I had to go buy more food elsewhere. Never going back.

The place is just at the ocean-side on the pier with a great view. It's the first location. And you know the rest - Stop, Forest, stop!

Excellent scene for quality Seafood. Great place to meet and catch up with friends. I look forward to going back again. The place has a cool feel to it. Feeling here is similar to a place in Columbus I liked.

I was really disappointed that they didn't have all the shrimp like in the movies the guy kept saying shrimp this shrimp. Shrimp everything but they only had maybe two shrimp choices
