I found out that the best time to go there is on a Wednesday or Tuesday. The place is still fun, the food is still tasty, but the touristy crowds are not there.

Absolutely love this place food wise but costumer service can improve. I've gotten better costumer service from a McDonald's.

It gets 5 of 5 Stars because waiter was awesome and the food aka shrimp was amazing. I got the bucket of Cajun shrimp. Really my first time eating great shrimp. Sweet location next to the ocean and don't forget a souvenir or t shirt in the gift shop!

Service was super quick. We sat at bar for a while, had drinks, then ordered food and ate then finally paid bill, hung out for 10 minutes before our table was even ready! In other words unless you LITERALLY want a 70 minute wait to be seated, find a table at the bar.

Awesome restaurant. Definitely recommend the jambalaya :)!

Good food but terrible service. We had a stroller and didn t want to risk it getting stolen. There were open booths without reservations so we asked for one. Instead they gave us a table in the middle of the whole crowd and had to store the stroller under the table. Uncomfortable. Not impressed.

I can t believe the food that was served to us. No flavor in Jenny s catch, mama fried chicken no flavor. I don t remember this place tasting this bad. We loved bubba Gump fromNew York Destin Florida San Antonio tx San Francisco Santa Monica anathema when we travel we like to go here. But this would definitely be a NO in future

Decent food, good view, great staff. And wonderful with kids.

This place never disappoints. I hadn't been here in years but the atmosphere and charm of this place hadn't changed. My gf and I got some mix drinks off the menu and they were great. The food was amazing! It's not on the menu but I ordered a bucket of trash one of my favorites. I highly recommend this place! Enjoy!

Nice view. The food quantity was satisfying for the price.

I was excited to go back to Bubba Gumps while we were visiting Monterey. We were very disappointed this time around. Poor service (got the order wrong mulitple times) and the quality of the food was terrible. The fish was soggy and it definitely wasn't beer battered fish. We will be finding another location to replenish on our next trip to Monterey.

Quite pricey but the staff are friendly and helpful.

Abbiamo provato la famosa catena di gamberi. Posto carino, tutto incentrato sul film. Ovvimante mangiato gamberi, hanno gamberi di tutti i tipi. Abbiamo preso: gamberi con riso, due porzioni di patate e gamberi fritti e un tegame di gamberi cotti con carote, mais... Tutti gustosi. Servizio cordiale. Abbaimo speso 90 euro con mancia.

Crowded family restaurant (loud) and very limited menu (they used to have more choices). The fish tacos were good, Caesar salad was ok.

By far the BEST Gumps. This is the original and they take great pride in that. Staff is always great and very accomodating. Views of the Monterey Bay are amazing from just about anywhere in the place. Food is pretty good too.

Average seafood chain restaurant but with neat atmosphere. A lot of interesting decor and a beautiful ocean view, staff was good, food was good. This place is...well...good.

Very disappointed. Shrimp still had poop vein, was very expensive, view was great and employees were amazing.

Poor service, food was OK, nothing special. Rushed to finish and leave by surly waitress and no booze in cocktail. Really expensive too. Over $100 for two people without dessert and one drink each.

The whole franchise is overpriced but can't lie the food is good especially the crispy fried chicken and mashed potatoes

Service was ok, the clam chowder was not good! Clam chowder should not tasted fishy, it should have a buttery fresh taste!

I doubt that Koreans can only make it with seafood.

Crowded. But we were seated quickly. Food and service was the same. I don't eat seafood but the rest of my family does, and I'm so very grateful that they added mama's fried chicken... instead of me having to eat a yucky hamburger (the only land lovers meal option years ago).

Don't be fooled by movies! It has nothing to do with movies. Although the location is near the sea, if it is to go to dinner, the window in the sea is only dark, nothing can be seen! What's more, the concierge will let you stand outside the door for an hour and a half. When you sign up, you will only get more than half of the empty table. Slow cooking, bad service, food is worse than service! I think this restaurant is a very small stain in the Monterey area.

Fair place, touristic but the food was good. A bit pricey.
Top tip: when faced with long waits to get a table, ask to sit at the bar area - food is good and you get in much faster.

Good seafood & fun atmosphere! Enjoy the view of the water and take in the sights of Monterey bay. Some what pricy but worth it Everytime!

The place is good place for food,and I have visited it in three different locations and the crowd out there is standing testimony to the popularity of the place,you can book in advance on holidays to avoid waiting.

It's okay, didn't knock my socks off. Very thematic atmosphere and good staff.

This is the first Bubba Gumps so look at the movie memorabilia in plexiglass. Wait-staff had a fun trivia talk to share and I saw families with toddlers enjoying the outdoor umbrella tables while I ate inside at a corner table. Bar is not waterfront but snug near the kitchen.

Awesome location with food view of the sea. Having dinner at sunset with the fantastic views and good food.

First time eating at one, got the fish and chips. Liked the batter but way to greasy. Our drinks were really good.

Was a fun place to eat. Food was ok. Seemed like bar food. Can t complain as it is a chain restaurant. Thought fish would be little better but guess I would need to go to more of a local restaurant rather than a chain. Atmosphere was good.

Just love it here! But it gets a little weird and kinda sad late at night.
