For all of the people hating on Bruce Power who live in this area, I would back off because the people who come to your businesses are probably about 85% people that work there. And for the people who complain and don't live near here, almost half of your electricity is from here, so if you want a phone or computer without charging it by using a potato, I wouldn't complain so much. By the Way, I live really close (too young to work though) and love to fish. It hasn't affected any of my fishing in a negative way. The only difference in my fishing would be that I catch more when I fish in the out flow near there; just a tip for fishers.
20% of Ontario's power. CO emissions are virtually zero!
Delusional Chinese Manager in kitchen is extra rude to some staff and delivery drivers.
Great place to work. but why is the building glowing
This Place Gives Ontario 124439 megawatts of electricity it is about 40 % of Ontario's electricity supply!!!$
I like nuclear power but its on fire thats not good guys what kind of service is that. I demand nuclear power that is not on fire!!
Far better than fossil fuels, favourite part is the fact its nuclear energy, my favourite renewable energy source!
Very interesting assignment back 5 years ago. Worked there for 6 months reviewing practices and jobs. Great people and did thing well!
Although many people believe that nuclear energy is bad for the environment the truth is it is one of the safest types of electricity. The bad things about nuclear power is that the price of building the reactor is over 1 billion l dollars! And the nuclear waste transportation can cost. Although it is one of the most powerful ways to get electricity to our homes. Nuclear energy can make the world a better and greener place.
Nuclear energy is safe, clean, and cheap if you think otherwise you are uneducated on how this works or just think Canada's reactors and personnel are the same as Ukraine's 30 years ago. The only issue with nuclear power is the waste which Is not being dumped in the river or ocean or whatever it's being buried underground. There are new prototypes for new reactors using different fuel and predicted to work much better but since the world can't be asked to fund a project like that and settled for the cheap option we will most likely never see this.
I am a 4th class power engineer. I am interested to serve there. How to apply for employment?
These guys put out very good informative videos and are on top of the game
Cando reactor! Much livelier than Chernobly but no sarcophagus
Huge fish where the water comes to to cool the reactors
Now, diamonds are falling Through a new wound in the sky Obsessions, pink children They are laid out in a line They are screaming, they are polluting They are demanding their life These wrong feelings, they are calling The red leper of time I love you (I love you) I need you (I need you) Oh, show me (Oh, show me) How to shine (How to shine) I love you (I love you) Young flower (Young flower) Now give me (Now give me) What is mine (What is mine)
Canada builds the safest reactors in the world. So anyone who complains that nuclear energy is dangerous should stop and look at the big picture. Much more people have died in this world as a result of burning fossil fuels that have died from nuclear power. Don t jump to conclusions research and education your self about this subject. Also without nuclear power we wouldn t have enough power to power Ontario.
Stop throwing the waste in the lake. I caught a fish with 3 eyes and it didn't taste good :(
There is no such a thing as "safe" nuclear power generation. Laws of probability tell us that sooner or later "mistakes" happen. Radioactive fallout may take 300 years to diminish by half. Are we willing to test it on us and our descendants? Geothermal or Solar power is safe, clean and cheap in the long run, if our governing politicians will only allow!
Great place to work. They are incredibly involved with the surrounding community and obsessed with safety and education. Anyone that post negative reviews about this generating station because they are antinuclear have no idea what they are talking about. Bruce Power generates 30% of the provinces power AND does it 30% cheaper then the average cost of electricty. Winter nesting spot for bald eagles as well.
