7, 2029Bruce and the gang did it again. Thank you to Jason your the best. My caliper wentout in my 2015 Chevrolet malibu, which usually your caliper doesn't go out. But mine did. So the gang checked it out got my part and fixed it. All it cost was 100 bucks.
I cant say enough about the gang that works at Bruce . But thank you from the bottom of my heart. You make me feel like family. I only take my car here.

. 11, 2018. The most wonderful people work at Bruce Chevrolet. Bruce himself helped my mom and I. We traded our truck and left with a car we both liked, now we look like twins.
This is my second time buying from here and I will send everyone i know there and will be back again

In here for the second time in three business days...

In here for the second time in three business days for the same problem. Check engine light came back on and error code read the exact same thing (I checked it at the auto parts store before coming in). They'd better not try to charge me for this fix. Additionally, no one has given me an update or a time estimate (and I confirmed they knew I was waiting). I've been here for three hours and counting. When I called to make this second appointment I was told that my diagnostic fee would apply towards my service. That's interesting because they charged me $100 diagnostic fee on top of my service for the first visit and I'd even shown them the paper from the emissions station with the error code. I'm getting a pretty negative vibe here and I will not be back. How they play their cards today will determine if I file complaints against them with the BBB and AAA.

Update: I'm in day 3, hour 10 and they still haven't figures out what's wrong with my EVAP system. Since when does the entire fuel tank need to come out completely for this diagnosis and since when does it take 2.5 hours just to take the tank out!? I'm exasperated with the staff and mechanics here and the only reasons I'm still here are because my second trip permit runs out tomorrow and I've invested the initial money with these idiots. BBB and AAA complaints will be filed.

We had a great experience with James Lewis at Bruce Chevrolet! He was helpful and was able to answer all our questions about the vehicle and the sale. He is clearly a professional and made our purchase go smoothly. It was wonderful having the owner make a point to come over and say thank you and congratulations. We will definitely go there in the future if the need for something else comes up!

I bought an one year old Grand Sport 3LT Corvette from Bruce Chevrolet. It was a big purchase for me, but they were patient and answered all of my questions about the history of the car. They were also able to get me a loan with better terms then what my own bank offered. Overall, the transaction went very smooth.

We purchased both a Colorado and Equinox from Bruce Chevrolet last month. Danny and James were the sales reps who turned, what is usually a frustrating and dreaded process, into a complete joy. Mary, who processed the paperwork, was professional and a pleasure to work with. Steve, who dealt the post purchase details, offered excellent timely service, always communicated and kept us in the loop. The whole staff, including Bruce who personally came out & thanked us, were all professional and down to earth. If you're in the market for a car or truck then this is the place to go.

BTW, we really like our new Chevrolets. We love the features and they are an absolute joy to drive.

My car deal was complete and car was delivered to me in Bend. Al drove my rental car back to Hillsboro to turn it in.
I hadn't been thinking clearly [accident week before] and left walking sticks, first aid, bags etc. in the rental. No fanfare or anything, a few days later and huge package was delivered with all the contents I had left behind.

This was way more than good customer service. It was an act of kindness that I certainly wouldn't expect from a car dealership. My appreciation goes to James, Steve and Kari. p.s. I like my new "used" car.

Amazing service. Great salesmen. Even with my bad credit the manged to work with me to get me into my 2015 malibu! I live in WA and buying a car in OR they had to figure out my states sales tax. The were fairly close. But they were pretty amazing, and friendly. I got a great pre owned car for a great price!

I recently had an oil change and inspection done. They told me I had brake pads down to 4 mm and recommended replacing pads and rotors turned. I scheduled an appt to get it done. A few days before that I bought a set of tires from Les Schwab. They did their own brake inspection and found all pads to be 7 mm remaining. Bruce Chevrolet tried to sell me a brake job I didn't need. I always thought these guys were trustworthy. I will no longer work with this place for Service or Sales.

We have always been pleased with the service and sales department at Bruce Chevrolet but today they exceeded all of our expectations. We brought our truck in today for a warranty issue and while there we mentioned that we had several long scratches that were caused by a loose limb in the road that kicked up. They told us that they would take a look while it was there and see how deep the scratches were. To our great surprise, when we picked the truck up, they had washed the truck and buffed out all of our scratches. We asked how much we owed and they told us that there would be no charge and that this was just good customer service. Thank you Bruce Chevrolet, you made our day!!

While I have had decent experiences with the main shop, it was a mistake to take my vehicle to their body shop after a fender bender. The body shop office is massively disorganized; my paperwork was lost, the manager mistook my case for a different case, they promised to follow-up call me with information and then never did so, and I didn't get an ETA on when my vehicle would be finished until I called my claims adjuster-- they'd given an ETA to my insurance company and just sort of forgot to keep me in the loop.

It's been a month since I left my car with them. It was a week and a half before they finally got in contact with my insurance company, and I had to call them to remind them to do that. My rental car coverage on my insurance policy runs out tomorrow, and there's a 50/50 chance that my car will still be in the shop until mid next week.

I heard from someone whose company contracts with them that Bruce Chevrolet management has chosen to let their body shop manager go as a cost saving measure, making their head technician do double-duty as the manager instead. My experience has lead me to believe that; I'm sure they're competent people but the administrative side of the shop is a real gong-show. They need a dedicated manager, not someone trying to wear two or three hats at once.

All in all, this has lead to an incredibly frustrating and inconvenient experience. I will never use this body shop again.

Please learn from my experience. I do not buy cars often. I needed a larger van, and Danny helped me pick out what I needed. The price was reasonable for a used Express with moderate miles., the paperwork went very easy.
Danny helped me get extra keys and was very helpful.

The first time I drove to the beach all the bells and alarms rang, traction control, and airbags. I took it back and they reset the alarms. I drove it and all the alarms back on .
I did not understand the dealer had to fix all of that in the first 30 days.
I took it back on day 31- 32 and suddenly--- it was all my fault the expensive parts were broken. The repair bill was quoted at over 1300$.

I took it to my mechanics, the entire shop assured me I did not break, or get water on these parts, it was broken when I took ownership.

Feeling very small, and stupid, I took the van to master touch auto, just down from Bruce. MS fixed all the parts and problems for 1/2 the dealer cost and made me feel better about my ignorance about Oregon car laws.
Tire pro and MT were surprised that Bruce did not fix the problem.

Danny was great, I like the van , used 2010 express. I had my learning curve.
I should had my shop check out the van before I bought it/ tire pro is right across the street, I have been going there for 20 years, it would have saved me money and anxiety.
Master touch has a new loyal customer.

I went in on Friday september 13, 2013 to look for a new SUV. My salesman Trevor asked me many questions about what I wanted and what I could afford. We looked at a few cars and trucks. I found a car that I was considering on buying. Trevor took my information and presented it to TODD & Al. Now heres where the fun begins. My credit is not the greatest and I new I would need a co-signer. I owed more than my Xterra was worth. TODD and Al were able to find a credit union that would not only fianace me at 4% interest but I did not need a co-signer. These guys are truly amazing. I have heard many horro stories about car salesmen and with Trevor, I felt totally comforatable. He was not pushy at all. He made sure I was completely happy. TODD and Al did an amazing job at getting me into my brand new 2013 Chevy Silverado. I can not thank Trevor, Todd and Al enough. I would definately buy another car from them in the future and reccomend them. They made my experience very pleasant. Thank you Trevor, TODD & Al, you guys ROCK!!!

I took my car in to the Bruce Chevy service department on Friday for the 1st time. I was very pleased overall with the service I received! Immediately, I was impressed by the helpful phone presence of Rafael, a service advisor, who gave me an idea of what the issue could be and invited me to bring my car in. I work nearby and was anxious to get the problem diagnosed and remedied as quickly as possible so I drove right over. I ve worked with other service departments in the past and Bruce Chevy was definitely the easiest to get a hold of and communicate with through the process. Upon dropping my car off, I was given some options on how I wanted to handle a rental car, what my needs were, and possible scenarios as far as if the warranty would/would not cover the work, etc. I appreciated that I had some say. I decided to just leave my car there, knowing it could be there all weekend, and opted for the rental. Within minutes, Enterprise arrived with my rental. I was in & out in less then 30 minutes. Later that day, I communicated with Jason, the service manager, via e-mail, to 1st- give kudos to Rafael, and to discuss some other questions/concerns I had. He was professional and friendly. By mid-afternoon, I had a diagnosis on my car and was told that the work would most likely be done the next day. I received the call Saturday afternoon that the work was completed. When I went to pick-up my car, I was greeted by Rafael and escorted to the cashier. I was really impressed with how smooth the entire process was. Other places I ve been to have long, drawn out processes and are generally a hassle to work with. I enjoyed the fact I only had to communicate with 2 service employees, and that communication was so easy. Rafael and Jason were friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and as a young women with no knowledge of cars- I felt comfortable and confident leaving my car in their hands. Things were explained thoroughly to me and I will definitely be bringing my car back to Bruce Chevy service!

Bought a used car from Bruce Chevrolet with the help of Salesperson James Lewis. The test drive was really nice and James was very knowledgeable about the car even though it was not a Chevrolet. He was very gracious with my wife and me throughout the entire process. No high pressure tactics at all and it was a smooth and easy process.

The main issue I had was the inability to get parts moving in a timely manner. My truck sat at the dealership for a week waiting on a part. I work for a 20 billion Euro company and we can get parts from around the world within 72 hrs, yet you are getting parts from Texas and it takes 72 hrs. This makes it difficult to recommend others regardless if you do good work or not.

Now they tell me that the new owners have changed the policy and they raised the oil change price by 4 times what they sold me the oil changes for. Bait and switch. I'll never buy from them again.

I came to Bruce Chevrolet driving a Nissan Leaf, electric vehicle. I had owned it for 2 months. While I embrace the technology of EV s, it was not working for me!! I was tethered to a small radius of travel and it was bumming me out!! I met the very best and most helpful salesman- James Lewis. What a stroke of brilliant luck!! James helped me find the coolest car ever! Brand new, 6 speed shiny red and very affordable. He counseled me to get a refund on the $3000 extended warranty that I purchased from Nissan... that was a game changer. It made it so I could afford to purchase this beautiful red Chevy Cruze with confidence and within my budget! James was professional and fun and felt like a friend when I needed one. Car buying is a bit overwhelming and James took all of that away!!
Thank you to Bruce Chevrolet and to James Lewis for making everything so easy, not scary, zero pressure and just plain enjoyable! I ll never buy another car from anyone else.

I was travelling with my wife from Utah, to the Or...

I was travelling with my wife from Utah, to the Oregon Coast, I got to the coast and noticed that my exhaust regeneration message had come on, I called Justin and he stated that this is a normal thing, but If if recurs to callback. Well ,yes, everytime I started the truck this message came on. He told me that If I was to have the truck there by 08:00 AM, they could look at it and determine the cause. Its about an hour and 30 minutes to their facility, but I was there promptly at eight. I was received by Rafael, who stated that the diagnosis would take about two hours, but he would be glad to provide a shuttle for my wife and I to get breakfast.We had breakfast and started to enjoy, Hillsboro, old school, great downton, then Justin called, with the "I got some good news, and Bad News Call", the good news was that it was all covered under GM Warranty(79000 miles, and a 2013), the bad news was it would take two hours to get the part and about two more hours for the diesel tech to install it. So basically one day of my vacation was shot, that is until I was told that there was an "Enterprise" lot just down the street, and they could get me a car for the day at their cost. Juan ran us to two different lots, so we could be assured that we got a car.
We spent the day in Portland and had a great time, about 3:00 PM, I got a call by Justin or Jason, saying my truck was ready, and I could pick it up anytime.
I've read some the other reviews, and in my experience, these guys went above and beyond. Polite, Honest, and genuinely caring. They saved a day of my vacation, and allowed my wife and I to enjoy Portland, knowing that our truck was in good hands.
Jason, Justin, Rafael, Juan, the Diesel Tech(Who's name I Did not get)and the girl up front in the cashier area were all awesome, and should be somehow commended for their exemplary performance.

Thank You For Turning my Lemons into Lemonade!!!

P.S. I drove the truck all the way home, some 933 miles, I never had another problem, and my mileage was up by 25% due to the problem that my truck had incurred. Thanks Again Guys!!!

Stay away. These guys are incompetent. I went in and asked for a $50 sensor to be replaced, they insisted it needed a $1000 component replaced and guess what? It didn't fix it. When I asked them to make it right they said it needed a $50 sensor (really) but wouldn't do it for less than $700 since it had non-GM parts. Just, don't waste your time. Seriously.

Edit: FYI, I spent weeks trying to resolve this to no avail. The proposed resolutions ranged from laughable to insulting.

I purchased a certified pre-owned 2015 Chevy Cruze. I am a first time car buyer and my experience was excellent. I work for a bank, so I'm more savvy than your average person when it comes to finances. When I came in, I already knew what I wanted (because every woman does!) I did not feel pressured at all! It was a very calm and relaxing environment. I worked with Trevor and threw a LOT of questions his way and he was able to answer them all with expertise and knowledge. It has only been 3 days since I bought the car and I have already handed out 2 of his business cards. I will definitely be a returning customer!

Purchased a brand new Sonic a while back. I loved everything about that car and even though a drunk driver hit me and totaled it 4 months down the road (pun intended), the best thing about it was the 10 airbags that kept my family alive

We actually had our eyes on a different car, but Trevor N. knew that other car wouldn't be a good fit for us. Trevor sold me on the Sonic after a lot of comparison and contemplation. Thanks Trevor!

Everyone here was super helpful and friendly and I never once felt pressured to buy. Researching the vehicle I wanted to buy and went to a local dealership who had just sold the one they had online and did not know when others would be in. Reached out to other dealerships and found one, put it on hold and the next day they sold it :( My wife reached out to several others and found the exact one at Bruce Chevrolet. put it on hold and made an appt for the weekend to drive over an hour to see and possibly buy this one. They held it for us like promised!!!. The overall experience was awesome in that it was ready to go when we got there test drove it (managed to get a flat tire that they fixed) did not get hassled about financing as we were pre approved. Sales manager and our sales person Travis were outstanding. I have never had a better buying experience in the 35 years of buying cars. Thank you so much and I am recommending these guys to everyone!!!!!!!!!

There is no way that I am willing to wait on an email or to talk to anyone to get such basic information, & if they use this kind of tactic at this level, I have no desire to find out what else they would try to pull. They are permanently off my list.

Great friendly staff, always someone to greet me when I visit! Dar made me feel comfortable with his down to earth approach! He was patient with me and didn't make me feel pressured! The team fit me with the right vehicle to fit my budget and price range! Joseph ( I believe) is his name went above and beyond, he offered to buy us food as we were there for hours. Bruce the owner also greeted us with a friendly thanks for business! I was satisfied! Love my 2017 nissan rogue limited Star Wars edition. Over all great experience!

I had my 2014 chevy truck towed in because the transmission was broken. (This is the 3rd transmission in 4yrs since purchasing truck new). $5000 again to fix, after spending this a year and 2 months ago at another chevy dealership I have decided to just sell the vehicle. Prior to towing it there they said they would look at it and give me a quote to fix and check for recalls, warrenty ect. Never mentioned a charge for quote. A week later they diagnose it as broken transmission. Now I am being charged 120$ for a diagnosis. When it arrived we told them the transmission was broken, $120 to confirm it wont shift. I wont ever buy another chevy truck. Thanks for nothing.

It is ok but the person at the service department who checks me in is not friendly " this is my opinion" even when I told them it was my first time in there he didn't care at all, instead of welcome me, sarcastically told me... "can your truck fit thru that door"?
I said of course!
He said, then drive it in!
He not even show me where the waiting room was,
In few words this is my first time...
Also the last one.
I'll get my business somewhere else.

Quickest Dealer I've ever dealer with while buying a car. Longest part was looking at the cars and test driving. The salesman, Dan Murphy was honest and upfront, which is not the typical salesman. I told him upfront what I wanted and what price I was shooting for. He didn't try to beat around the bush. He definitely worked with me. I was pushed a lot at the end when finalizing the paperwork to get an extended warranty or sealants and I just didn't want them. No big deal but they did not seem to like my answer. Very good experience overall though.

We have two children, including a newborn. We need our vehicle, since my husband and I both work full time jobs.

After explaining in advance what needed to be fixed, we dropped the vehicle off for the first time. We were told it should only take a few hours. A few hours passed and I called to check on my vehicle, it was torn apart, but nothing had been done. (they were waiting on the warranty company to approve and original dealership to release) Why they didn't call to let me know that it was taking longer than expected, and why they didn't do this beforehand, is beyond me!

We drop it off for the second time, they fix one thing and then once again, I call them to ask if it's done and they say that they didn't order the correct seal for the sunroof. Now I'm pissed because they could have called hours before hand to tell us this (they had started working on it four hours prior). Once again, we needed the car back (like we had expected), and told them to put it back together while they try to find the glass and seal that they need.

Drop it off for the third time, and they finally finish it. No discount for poor customer service, no apology.

Very nice experience. I used to buy another brand from another dealer in Hillsboro, but the rip off's from the service department there just sent me away. This time I decided to give Bruce Chevrolet a try. I am very happy that I did. I spoke to several of the salespeople and they were all great. Finally bought from Trevor and he is a super truck guy. They were very open and honest with me and very low pressure, which I really appreciated. I love my truck and I love the dealership. Would recommend them to anyone.

A shout out to Don in the service department. Lost the keys to my old truck, didn't have a spare set. Called him to get a price on a new ignition switch and door locks. Don quoted me the parts and then said "wait a minute, what's your VIN?" He was able to look up my 1989 exact truck key specs and cut me a new one right there. $3.75. I didn't even know that was possible. Saved my bacon and saved face for me too. Thanks Don! Great experience, great service, I'll be back.

Tod the financial manager or whatever you want to call him. Was disrespectful over the phone and tried to get us to go in for a vehicle we didnt want or intended to get when we had told them exactly what we wanted. Screaming over the phone being bossy and a very rude tone of voice. Will be going somewhere else for my Camaro. Never have we felt so disrespected at a car dealership. We got there and James was amazing great guy, so we thought hey this is the place but after interacting with Tod, no thank you. I will go to CARR or Capitol Chevrolet. Maybe they know how to respect the customers and help them get the vehicle THEY WANT.

Excellent service. I didn't feel pressured at all throughout the process. I did quite a bit of research and the prices were very competitive, in fact slightly better than other similar dealerships in the area.

There is a pretty great Team working at BRUCE Chevy,
Kyle in Sales, James the Sales Manager and of course Bruce himself.
We had to do a little wheelin and dealing to get the new C-8 but i guess that's part of the fun!
Truly enjoyed the experience there and LOVE the New Corvette and Colorado.
Telling everyone that asks about the C-8 where they can order one right down the street
and who to talk to there.

I am a business owner (3 businesses) with a fleet of trucks. I buy at least one, some times 2 or 3 chevy's a year. Usually new ones, never with more than 25,000 miles on them. HAVE YOU NOTICED ALL THE 1 STAR REVIEWS (I hated it) ? YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED OVER AND OVER, AND NOW OVER AGAIN. Move on and NEVER buy ANY vehicle here. YOU ARE WARNED AGAIN!!! Trevor in fleet (I said I own a fleet, 24 trucks is a fleet) can be a nice guy, BUT HE MUST FOLLOW ORDERS AND THE MANAGEMENT HERE ARE TOTAL A-holes who would screw their mother for a buck!!! I'm WARNING YOU AGAIN!!! All these 1 star reviews (ok, maybe 2 stars at the most, but I doubt it) are actual customers, ANY REVIEW OF BRUCE CHEVROLET WITH MORE THAN 2 STARS HAS TO BE A CURRENT EMPLOYEE OR OTHER PLANTED REVIEW, PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE, TRUST ME. "Bruce, the name you can trust" is their motto -- hahahahahaha what a frickin joke that is!!!!!! Used car inspections, they either don't happen here or they are totally incompetent to perform one. And like one reviewer above said, "once you drive it past the curb your screwed" yup, they got that right. Bruce Chevrolet won't remember any of the cockeyed promises they made. WARNING- DO NOT BUY FROM BRUCE CHEVROLET IN HILLSBORO OREGON -- YOU'LL BE SORRY, VERY VERY SORRY. Please folks, for your own sake, go elsewhere, you'll be sooo glad you did. (personally, I have my own in house chevy mechanic, but when I need warranty work my trucks are taken to Loren Berg Chevrolet in Newberg, it's worth the drive, their service dept is str8 up honest and hard working to solve your problem(s). One of my son's used to work for Bruce as a salesman. Thats when I learned their tricks (and they have many), my young, inexperience and somewhat stupid (at the time) son thought the whole business world treated people like he was taught at Bruce. OH MY GOODNESS- NO!!!!! or commerce would STOP!! Their are honest car salesmen, their hard to find but they do exist. Do your homework, read many many reviews and heed their advice and prosper, AMEN

I m an African American male so typically going to a dealership is rather difficult for me. But trust me when I walked In I felt right at home. I was greeted by a young gentleman by the name of Travis. Very inviting and willing to work with my financial situation. I recommend anyone going to Bruce Chevrolet to stop by and ask for Travis. Although there service is decent at most . Sales in on top of there game . Would recommend anyone this dealership.

I made an online appointment to look at a used Convertible. 5 days in advance. When I show up, the car they try to show me isn't even close to the one I booked an appointment for and the (ridiculously young) Salesman says it was just an error. When I tell him the vehicle I'm here for, he's like; 'Oh, that one, its out back'
It was out back all right, they hadn't bothered to detail it or clean it up at all. It still had mud on the floors and pet hair all over the seats. Then this youngster says, 'well, you can't expect much for $5000' WHAT?!? I sure the hell do expect something. And to have the vehicle ready to be looked at is the very least. Not being belittled for a low sale ! Just another example of why we don't like dealing with Dealerships.

Don't trust them if they say they will call you ba...

Don't trust them if they say they will call you back. So to start, they were perfectly nice when I bought the car. Now I try to get it serviced since something has gone wrong with the car for the 5th time and it's been a nightmare. I called first thing in the morning (8AM) with an issue I was afraid might be a safety problem. The person told me they would call me back. I waited then called again. They gave me some song and dance about maybe it needs an oil change, because ya know that would make your powering steering go out even though you tell them you had the oil change done AT A CHEVY DEALERSHIP. They then said they would call me back again. I called back, not them, to update them with the exact error code since I hadn't been sure on the first call. Spoke to a receptionist that didn't sound happy that I wanted service and not to buy a new car. She told me they would call me back. I waited, trying hard to be patient here but then realized their service area was now about to close. So I called again (4th time here). This time I basically got told off for not getting my car serviced there. They also wanted to keep telling me about how busy they are and the people looking at him. I'm sorry you're busy, that's a problem with your scheduling then so maybe your manager should look into that. It's not my concern as a customer. My perspective here is I was promised multiple calls back that never happened. Now you're telling me that I may have to pay for a car, that is still under warranty, to be towed. That you can't get me a rental car, strange there anyways since all the other dealerships have given a loaner car themselves when the car required being kept longer. So basically telling me "yea it's the weekend so you're screwed and we don't really care since you already bought the car but haven't visited us since." Something I probably could have been told on the first call. So to summarize, by your car at the Chevy dealership on Mcloughlin. Their service people are much friendlier and will take better care of you so they deserve your business far more then Bruce Chevrolet.

Not returning again. I am not sure if the service department there is incompetent or shady. I asked them how many mm I have left on my break pads and the answer was: "50-60''. Front break pads get replaced more often than the rear ones so that's bs. Go to another place if you don't want to gamble with your safety. Used to be a regular and now I'll just have to find another place to take my business to.

First time I brought my truck here they repaired the issue, but broke the crank for my window. Informed them about it and they tried to make me pay for them braking it. I was able to have them fix that too. Tried to take my truck up a few other times and was told the wait was 5 days and as of today when I called 12 days until they would be able to get to my vehicle. Found a local shop that was able to get me in today. Too many variables with this place.

After they offered me $3,000 under KBB trade in va...

After they offered me $3,000 under KBB trade in value for my vehicle (even though they said no matter what its worth they would give me $1,000 above that) and tried to sell me a truck for much more than its KBB dealer value (even though they said there were selling all the vehicles at dealer cost plus T&I to move old inventory) I had to ask for my keys to be returned to me five times and start dialing the Hillsboro PD before they finally gave me my keys back and let me leave.

They are the definition of sleazy car salesmen. DO NOT go here.
