Good service, good food. Recommend the executive burger to fill your belly, and, the French onion soup, to warm your nuts on a cold Winter night.

Not the same Been going here for years and was very disappointed. Was seated and waited forever for service when it wasn't even busy. Had to ask for my salad. I will forever miss Dale. Won't be back most likely

Very good, large menu - pork chops, pasta, salads are all my favorites.

Great food with good prices. Friendly staff now that some people are gone . The new owner has made alot of changes which shows that he cares about his business. I love that they adopted a child for the Christmas season to make his Christmas special! Good place and good hearts

I really enjoyed the roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The waitress was very friendly and tended to us very guickly.

Best Chilly Mac in town,if you like spicy you will love this big serving with garlic toast!!

Cheese steak hoagie, full of fat and no flavor. Onion rings extremely greasy.

Very disappointed. Our family have gone to Brownstone for years. 1st their were only 2 waitress and we waited 10 to 15 mintues for our drink orders. The hostess ask the waitress if she could get drink orders, she egnor her. Finally ordered our drinks and meal. Waiters was very focused on her tablet and not us. Ordered then waited another 15 minutes before salads and soups arrived. Ordered bowl of soup got a cup. We had our salads and soup for 10 mintues and meal arrived. My food was cold and asked for hotter good. Came back warm. The entire meal was cold within 10 mintues. The only hot food was my cup of soup. The perch was so small not a generous serving size. For the price it wasn't worth it. It will be awhile before we return.

Overmatched air conditioning. Brisket sandwich was overcooked mush and missing coleslaw. Long wait to correct. Waitress made odd self-congragulatory comment about using a hand-portable credit card reader and placed receipt in front of my wife when I had been handling the transaction. From the reviews, this must have been an outlier. Maybe the heat was getting to the staff?

Nice place for families to grab a sit-down meal. The BLT's are really good. Burgers are great and one can build his or her own.

This place is overpriced and the food is terrible most of the benches are old and have no cushioning. The steaks are more expensive than long horn steakhouse with a smaller portions. I asked for medium steak and what I got was a thin, well done steak. It was terrible and had no flavor the mashed potatoes were like soup; I asked for country gravy and it look like lard, again, no flavor. The broccoli was OK but could have been a lot better for the price I paid. Alfredo pasta with shrimp comes with 5 pieces of shrimp and it cost $20, far more expensive than red lobster or anywhere else. The service was pretty good I can't complain about that. I will never be going back to this place again 1st and last time.

Food was good. Drinks not so much. Out of french onion soup and that's why we went there. Will give it another try.

been coming here for years and tonight was a big disappointment. ordered the strip and my fiance ordered the sirloin both were bland mine was way undercooked. so bad I spit my food out in a napkin. mashed potatoes were awesome but gravy so hot I burnt my mouth.. my daughter got the. spaghetti and loved it

After not going there for a while, I was happy to note very few changes in atmosphere and quality of the food. I had a great experience.

Has the best French Onion soup with cheese. All portions of food are more than can be eatin in one sitting. One of my favorites is the Tavern Stir fry with steak.

Well have to change my review due to the fact the steal money from anyone who uses a card and dont check there statements they charger your card for a extra tip aftwr you leave the restaurant amd you would nevee know it unless you check uour statements so had to call the BBB on them and should press charges seeing they like to steal money after you paid for there basic food

Went to lunch with my honey today weren't busy at all I had a phenomenal Betty salad and I added chicken to that and I also had a cup of french onion soup staff are friendly and warm he had a steak and tater tots we had a nice lunch and yes we haven't been there for a while but we would go back

ZERO stars would be given if possible based on the treatment of the most disrespectful manager I ve come across. 01/07/20 ordered via UBEReats with delivery at 8:15 ( delivery was perfect ). Had two orders of hot roast beef with mashed potatoes , neither order received the potatoes . I called and was instantly confronted with attitude from a lady who said she was the manager . States no potatoes were ordered ( my screenshot receipt states otherwise but can t post a picture of it here , but did on other sites . She argued with me and i said is this how you treat your customers , she said yep! I asked for the general managers name , wouldn t give it , and I said why such an attitude and she said goodbye and hung up . I will post this on every site available based on the treatment of this employee. I mean come on, I m going to lie about sides of mashed potatoes ?

I don't know where to begin. My work team was treated to a meal from Brownstone Tavern and since I've eaten there before I thought the food would be good. Wow, I was wrong! How can they mess up onion rings? Trust me, these folks found a way. I had the fish and chips, onion rings and we shared the so-called spicy mushrooms, which were drenched in butter, with a couple of them showing signs they had been battered. I can't say for sure if they had been battered, but a couple looked like they may have been. Regardless, they were floating in butter by the time we got them. I couldn't eat more than 3, and I'm suffering from indigestion more than 6 hours later.
The fish in the fish and chips was ok, although the batter was soggy and the fish was fresh from the freezer. All in all, the food was pretty bad and except for the mushrooms, I threw more than half of the rest away. Today was the second time I've eaten food from BT. It definitely will be my last.

Used to be one of my favorite places. The last 3 times I have been there the food hasn't been as good. Had a baked potato and steak one visit and the potato was cold.

The worst part is the service. It's has taken a serious decline. 3 times in a row the same waitress....slow and forgetful.

This used to be one of my absolute favorite restaurants. Since the new owner has taken control it has gone downhill.... Prices have increased, quality has decreased and service is not good. I hope this place can turn it around. But I will not be eating here again. This was once a great place. Sad...

Food is delicious...they seem to be struggling with service because of this damn covid19...no worries I'll keep going back.

I use to work there. Terrible service. Roaches in the kitchen they won't take care of. Waiters are trailer trash that if they don't get tipped they'll have am attitude and run there mouth about you. Cooks are disgusting and don't wear gloves. Waiters touch food with there bare hands. Avoid at all costs.

The food was excellent as well as the service but took awhile to get our food and it was not busy.

Excellent pub grub and more. Their Reuben was grilled perfectly; onion rings were awesome. Their burgers are creative and huge. Good beer selection to wash it down. We enjoyed it! Good find in north Toledo.

Great food and atmosphere, they are friendly and courteous staff everytime I've been there. The food was always prepared excellently, and never an issue. Their prices are well within line of venues of this stature. Well worth a stop in to try it.

The food is a lot different than when the other guy owned it not very good service with decent but definitely the food not up to the par that it used to be at this will no longer be one of my go to spots to eat my wife was there few weeks ago and said the same exact thing she was very disappointed we have been going here for 20 years

Loyal customers and loyal service. They keep it simple. Quite standard for the area and culture.

They remodeled a nice job. Cheap to charge extra for condiments (tarter sauce).

And awesome place for something to eat and a drink.
