Brookshire Grocery Company Review

My name Michael mccowen and i really love my job so i has absence medical 2 weeks hopefully i return job and i had dialysis so praying for me ans bless my director mr mcgrew.. I had problems with dialysis cause not enough sleep

Let me say while I have visited East Texas all my life, we have recently moved here full time. I was so impressed with Brookshires when we move here in the summer. Clean stores, helpful employees, fresh produce, some of which was even Local!! So disappointed now though in the winter, all they seem to have available in the produce aisle is from MEXICO! With all the disease laden produce coming from Mexico (think Chipotle Restaurants) one would think they would at least look to the Texas Valley, California and other places within the USA. I will gladly pay a bit more for USA produced products and I don't think I am the only one. Please Brookshires, reconsider what you are stocking. My family is tired of no produce. I only buy outside the USA when there is ABSOLUTELY no other way. When I travel to the DFW area, the stores stock produce grown in the United States. Why can't Brookshires?

I would give no stars if I could horible company to work for they were supposed to give my husband health benifits after working there for the company for a certain amount of time .He worked there over a year and they refused to give them to him he was hired full time my I mind you...Then a incident happened my husband got injured in the warehouse due to old machinery and a malfunction of that machinery they had no sympathy !!!! He couldn't work for months due to that injury... If anything brookshires warehouse should be shut down they don't care about anything but money ....

I was ready for the worst comming here. Got here at 330 in dock by 4 and unloaded by 530. $400 lumper fee. Very friendly security and lumper workers. Dont know why I had such a good experience.

1400 appt. Got there at 1330. Finally finished at 1830. And that was a half a load.

I love shopping at Brookshires here in Shreveport La. on Pines Rd. All stores are VERY CLEAN and the employees are very professional. I have only one request that the Pines Rd. store be updated like the 2 here in Shreveport La one is on Line Ave. and the other one is on Mansfield Rd. The 2 stores have a seafood and a wine market in thembut the one on Pines Rd. don't. I would have to drive to the other 2 stores to get seafood and wine to feed my family. I'm asking has a very valuable customer to PLEASE update our Pines Rd. store.

Zero star is not an option, took 3 hours to offload 6 skids. Cheked in 4 hours before appointment time

I am unloading and the wait time needs to improve. I just unloaded the same amount of pallets at Costco in Dallas....and they do pretty much the same volume, if not more. 4x as longer here at Brookshire to get uploaded. UNSAT! Brookshire is simply a poorly managed and poorly supervised DC. Perhaps you should have your Mgmt tour the Costco facility to help you find ways to improve efficiency.

Unloading sucks, really expensive lumper service and slow. Doors 1-40, there to damn dumb to not drop trailers directly in the way in front of the dock doors. Makes it a real pain getting backed in. On the plus side at least there fairly polite.

Arrived at 03:15 for a 04:00 appt. Assigned a door but not allowed to check in at the office until 04:00.

Finally finished being unloaded at 09:00 and paid a lumper fee.

Not allowed to park on site. Once you're empty they want you out of here.

No one answering at the Company Main Number. Automated answering service route you to nothing. I was calling about their $500 gift away sweepstakes. I went to their website which is not clearly defined which whip sweepstakes to enter. The advertisements on that page are very confusing and will lead you away to enter other sweepstakes for your information will be captured in used to harass you. Why is it so difficult to enter the sweepstakes? The Internet is not a very friendly place I wish they would keep these advertisements off the page to prevent confusion! And it would be nice if they got rid of that automated answering service which goes nowhere and helps no one unless you have A good directory of extensions which are not offered!

1 pallet, 2 hours for 1 pallet and charged $115 are you kidding me, ripping people off in a big way.

dont come here with a load of ice cream it will melt by time these losers get it off the trailer brookshires are some of the scummiest stores around also

Been here 5hrs to unload half a trl of cookies very slow and have to pay a lumper? I probally could have unloded myself faster than that.all the same priduct

I work for brookshires in Red Oak. I'm not sure what's going on at the warehouse but generally pallets are stacked wrong. We will often find 20-30 pound boxes on top of fragile items. The warehouse also seems to have a surplus of bad produce. They solve this by force shipping bad produce to us! Very bad operation

They r time consuming, folks are kinda cold natured, maybe burned out, jobwise

Well I had heard all of the bad stuff.. but I got here and the guard is very nice and went on the inside I must say I was impressed. It o my took 1.5 hrs. Total in and out ever thing went good for a grocery warehouse.

Been here for 5 hours getting unloaded, and there still not done.. worst place I ever been unloaded at!!!

Very slow to unload trucks. No staging area, they want you out as soon as you unload. There's no where to park close by either.

Friendly staff. Slow unload. Arrived at 3:30 a.m. for a 4 a.m. appointment and immediately signed a dock door. Started to unload at 4:15, Unload finished at 9 a.m. 5 hours, although to be fair if you read the reviews this is expected. Refused to sign detention form ( lumper receipt have the in and paperwork handed to driver times anyway).
Don't schedule two appointments close together if you're coming to this facility, you will wait.

Its locally own and has been here since, before my childhood day till now in my 50s . The place has hired a lot of local people (essential workers) to date with employment.

Got here at 0700 was unloaded at 1100....not too bad, not too good

Got here at 4am and it's now 9am and still have half a trailer to be unloaded...what a joke definitely telling dispatch to take me off this list

The earliest you can check in is at 3:30 am if U have a 4:00 am appointment. Sometimes the Guard in the front is cool depending on who it is. Now the female at the window Is another story...it s a Real B**** to say the least. She will try to ruin your day and act like your stupid when she s the one who is!!!!

Visiting from Colorado I was sooooo impressed with this Fresh. Please Please open a Fresh store in Northern
Colorado!!!

Any carrier bringing a Hershey load from Atlanta Bonded in Kennesaw, Ga. and there are mutiple PO #s and appt times, some of the product goes to the grocery dept and some to perishable dept. Both are located here. Don't find out the hard way (like I did) when you company doesn't provide this info to you. Be sure to inquire at the guard shack or you'll be here all day.

Should have listened to most of the reviews. This place is a joke 8 hours to unload I will definitely make note of this place never again.

Arrived at 0330 for an 0400 appointment. Lumper service charged $420 to unload 2320 pieces. When I paid them, they were sitting around playing cards & talking. Trailer has been empty for over an hour yet I still have to wait for them to finish wasting my time before I can leave. Will do my best to avoid this place in the future.

Checked in at 05:30 for a 06:00 appt. Trailer already empty more than 3 hours. STILL waiting for lumper fee. Time 09:22

I've been here a few times and have always gotten unloaded quickly. My only complaint is that if you've never been here you probably won't find it by following your GPS. They need to put up MUCH better signage directing you to their truck entrance.

This is one of the worst places for delivery. It takes more than 3 hours and the staff is just sitting in the lounge talking and looking at the cell phone.

The woman security guard that works here is very sensitive and a cry baby. She acts like she owns the place. Come to find out she had no power but she told me to leave the property because she said I have an attitude . She also, was fake on the phone calling the manager because she couldn t handle simple questions lmao. Anywho, I made money sitting around all day watching Netflix ! probably her whole check in 1 day worth. -Zero Stars-

Absolutely horrid. Arrived at 4am departed at 1116am. SMH. Welcome to trucking.

Hires several workers from the community and keeps the grounds clean. This organization supports the military and first responders

Don't think you will get unloaded very quick. This is one of the slowest places I have need. I will not be back.

This place sucked so bad by the time I got a door I wasted 2 nights there. They handle things differently and like to screw you over.

They are pretty good people depends on what type of security person on the gate .. if the security person is nice he let you in after 4 am at any time of your appointment and check in inside ..they will put you on door ... if they have space they receive one day early also my appointment is for Tuesday 7 am I checked in today Monday at 4 am they received my load .i delivered here a lot of times so it is good for me

Guard was very friendly checked in early and given a door. You can check in at 0300. Tyler travel center is about 15 minutes away lots of parking, laundry room and hot food.

SLOW. Don't be in a hurry coming here. Msde ne late to next appt. Had to reschedule. Other drivers all complaining about wait times.

Freindly, unloaded a little more then 2 hours. Park here when arrive early.

This is a distribution center. Not a grocery store.

I personally had a very good experience here. Everyone was very nice and courteous plus I had arrived 2 and a half hours early and they let me come in a get a door. I couldn't break my seal or fully back to it until my appt. time of 4am but I was still happy with that. Even the lumping service was nice. I would definitely come back here for sure.

2hr for unloading. No parking for over night. They provide restroom while waiting.

Made my appt time and still took 3 hours for LTL. Staff was professional and courteous but not sure why it took so long to unload.
