Lovely place, great attentive staff, made my birthday very special. The food was amazing and a decent selection of gins & single malts, we stayed in the Elm room which is very spacious and has a whirlpool bath. We were fortunate enough to view lots and of the other rooms which are all unique and equally lovely, even considering this hotel as a venue for our wedding

Nice place, friendly staff, beautiful grounds and location but expensive and a long walk from Windermere even further to Bowness but at least it's all downhill. Unfortunately that means it's all up hill for your return.

We had a voucher from travelzoo for the afternoon tea here and it was okay. The quality of the food was notably meh really. We have had much better elsewhere but given the price and included bubbly we couldn t complain too much. The place was however pretty much empty which kind of speaks to the place itself I think.

We wouldn t go here again though. Pretty building a location but desperately needs some better staff.

Wonderful venue for a wonderful wedding but I would stay here again for any break away. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help, food was excellent and the cocktails just topped it off. Will be back

I have only visited this hotel as a wedding DJ and videographer.
This hotel is situated in Troutbeck, half way between Ambleside and Windermere.

This hotel has atmosphere in abundance, both in the orangery and restaurant.
You can book the whole hotel for your event - which is a mega plus!

The scenery is tranquil and romantic, and their fountain sets the scene.
You can even arrive by helicopter!

The staff are brilliant, highly informative, and caring.
Dan is the man to ask about entertainment, he manages the evening superbly, and actually stays until the end. Therefore witnesses every entertainer.

The Broadoaks are opened minded, for example, if you want your cake moved to a window - not a problem.
As a DJ this is very welcoming, because they don't constrain you to setup in just one place.
For example, in the restaurant, there are three different locations.
(Sadly the catch phrase with a number of other hotels is, "It's our way, or no way." Thankfully this is not the case at the Broadoaks.)

The lake is only a 5 minute drive, and well worth visiting. Bowness is the place for amazing boat trips, and ice cream.

Attended my Cousins winter wedding here and Everything was perfect. If you are planning an intimate wedding and want all of your guests to feel like VIPs, this is the place to do it. We stayed in a Family Room which was beautiful and I didn't want to leave. My Cousin and her Husband stayed in the Lodge which was absolutely AMAZING!! I could have lived there. The grounds were Beautiful and very well kept and the food was some of the best I've eaten. We had a 2 Night stay and had Breakfast both mornings which was fantastic. If my Husband and I are ever in a position where we can afford to re-new our wedding vows, this is the place we both would choose.

An amazing location and extremely helpful staff. We had a fantastic two days for our wedding weekend. Several months before we had also spent a night mid-week at the hotel. The food was exceptional and the rooms have their own individual flair. You will want to go again to try out each room.

Really lovely place. Room we had was beautiful. Spa a bit small and limited, but still worth an hour or two. Cream tea nice, if a tiny bit sweet heavy. The evening meal is absolutely gorgeous, every dish has clearly had a lot of care put into them and taste wonderful. The staff are also top notch.
