Had a great day here, getting a great view of the animals. Well kept grounds and lots of places to picnic. Toilets could have been a little cleaner but that's my only slight criticism. We had a fantastic time.
Absolutely amazing variety of animals, the staff were super friendly and informative. Even when busy you are still able to see all the animals well. The underwater sections were also very good fun and allowed you to see the animals in a different light. The butterfly garden was an amazing experience and the staff helping out were very friendly and explained lots about the the whole process and what was going on there.
Brilliant experience as always. Amazing animals and great for children.
I used Clifton Pavilion for a conference. Was pretty damned good
I am delighted because it is a very complete center since it is a zoo and aquarium at the same time and has many green areas to rest or make a pinnic and places for mothers adapted for lactation highly recommended
My son's favourite place to go out in the world. Sensible Covid restrictions. We're looking forward to the bug and reptile houses reopening.
This is a great place to visit for the whole family. It has a wide variety of animals, plants, insects and flowers.
Many of the exhibits have indoor areas so it is easy to stay dry and warm even in the worst weather.
They also have a large coffee tent with a burger bar, drinks shelf, bakery and hot drinks with plenty of seats and tables available.
This is a fab zoo the enclosures are top rated imo lots to do for younger kids. Remember the highwire is extra
Amazing, the animals were great. Even the wild birds , one can and sat on my sisters head
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of many of the attractions, especially when compared with other city zoos.
worst zoo i have ever been to.
the variety of animals is bettered by a 100 times at noahs ark zoo farm.
i did not enjoy going there as the best bit was going home.
Nice family day out. Loads of animals too see and a few other activities such as splash park and treetops adventure.
Really loved it here, but wasn't great for access in some parts, if you are alone with a pushchair.
Small but well laid out with borders and flowers. Some of the smaller exhibits such as bugs, reptiles and fish are really good. The lions look dad and confined. Go to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park if you want to see big animals wandering around big, interesting enclosures.
Lovely place, shame some of the enclosures were closed but fully understand why. May is a good time to go as there are plenty of babies!
Great place for an afternoon visit. Nicely tucked away from the business of the city
Mostly just watched the gorilla family with the 2 adorable and playful babies.
Good fun lots to see, the cafe was super busy so might be better to take your own food.
My adopted brother Reno was there ruining the experience because all he wanted was food and sweets
Bristol Zoo Gardens is an excellent attraction for couples, families and even to just enjoy a day out alone.
The zoo offers a good variation of both flora and fauna with well trained and informative staff on hand to answer any questions you may have.
They have a cafeteria with a nice selection of food and even some alcohol, though the majority of the park has machines around for drinks and ice creams.
It's pretty easy to access by car and bus (the number 8 from college green), or a quick 20 min walk from the centre.
Totally awesome place. Parking was great. Really worth money and prices for all refreshments were fair. Fantastic gift shop, too. Will definitely go again.
I think for what you now have at the zoo the price is way to high. As a child in the 50-60's there was so much more for a child to enjoy xx
Fantastic zoo with a very frequent bus service to the train station and from there an even more frequent service to the airport. The zoo is spacious and feels open, all birds can fly and all the appropriate mammals have the opportunity to swim such as the seals. Only head scratching thing to work out was the weird pricing structure in place at this zoo. Some days are cheap, some are expensive but both the cheap and expensive can get a 33 percent discount for using the bus or bike . Why not one simple price. Minor issue though because when you work out what price you'll pay its reasonable in any case. Great selection great place to visit.
Had a great day out at Bristol Zoo and there was something for everyone. Recommend bringing a picnic as the food hall can get extremely busy at times.
Went on a Friday, a lot busier than I thought but not a problem once we parked up. Great keepers talks and the animals were fairly active apart from the red panda who we could just see high in the tree
Excellent small Zoo that is very successful at breeding endangered species.
Lovely for a stroll- if you live nearby, get membership. But food very overpriced so take your own
Some great exhibitions especially the butterfly zone and aquarium. Sadly let down by the twilight zone which was so dark you could not even see where you needed to walk let alone the animals. Food can be expensive.
Brilliant day out with the family..kids thoroughly enjoyed the animals
Absolutely lovely day with my grandsons, worth a visit when using the code FREE CHILD for one free child per each full paying adult, otherwise a bit pricey
Beautifully presented zoo with well designed enclosures for the audience to enjoy
We first came to Bristol zoo around 10 years ago and I didn't think that much of it the first time around brought my 8 year old recently and I have to say it was great loads of new exhibits and well worth the entry fee, my daughter really like the creepy crawlie talk and my favourite animals were the monkeys great day out and will be returning in the future.
Really well organized night with very high quality food
It was an amazing day out with the family we all loved it especially the monkeys
Disappointing, not big, not many animals, would not reccomend to others or bother to go there again. Did not care to see the Lego displays. Poor lions - a whole third of the lion enclosure was overgrown with stinging nettles.) The gorillas you can barely see due to type of enclosure they were in!
Sea lions, penguins, lions, gorillas and fishes was as exciting as it got! Reptile house, hippo enclosure, butterfly house not open due to covid. Also no talks about the animals!
Spent a lot of money, expected to see more.
Great, many zoo , we can see, listen them. I like jock- leader Gorilla in bristol zoo
Really good family day out, Plenty too see and do to keep the little ones amused, parking is not great though on a busy day( best place to park is Clifton Downs, five hours free parking,)
A must for the family. So much to see and do. Excellent day out with so many animals to experience. Love the flamingoes and penguins enclosures.
It is an amazing place for families..the staff work so hard to make this place a worthwhile visit to see all the amazing well cared for animals.great day out with a Halloween experience. Thankyou.
One of the earliest established Zoo Gardens with plenty of history. The famous zoo is well layed out with beautiful gardens. The animals appear to be well cared for although have limited space due to the site size. A great day out for all the family if a little expensive. Car parking is available directly outside and charges Andrew reasonable.
Lovely way to spend 4.5 hours with my children on a glorious Saturday afternoon. Beautiful landscaping and animals.
Nicely designed, child friendly and wide selection of animals, but very few Platypus's
A great way to kill an afternoon not really a place to spend the full day.
Been going to the zoo for over 20 years and not alot has change.
Although there is now a new cafe that is completely impractical for families.
Loved it, a lot there, nice and compact for little ones so less walking needed. So nice to get so close to the animals, closer than some other zoo's.
We went to the sunset special opening with our two kids of 3 and 7 and they both loved it! The seals where particularly active during the evening!
Really great visit. Really liked the aquarium with the seals and fish etc. That was out standing. Most of the animals were in their houses because the weather wasn't great.
Love the zoo, I've been coming here since the 80's. Great for a family day out. Loads to do from seeing the animals, handling bugs and other animals, face painting, play areas, cafe, grill shack and loads of other things. Check it out
Very nice and well signposted. You spend a good time and the caretakers are aware of the animals and they give explanations to the children and the parents.
A little green haven where it is good to recharge your batteries
Outstanding zoo with wide range of animals and habitats. Includes penguin and seal area, butterfly house, insect house, reptile house, insect house, large cats, hippos, gorillas, lemurs, sloth and armadillo. Children's play area and adults' climbing high wire.
Needs a whole day to see everything.
Good zoo, quite small though. Go early in the morning if you want to avoid crowds.
Love Bristol zoo. Beautiful gardens, child friendly and very good animal talks. Enjoyed it very much.
Amazing day out for the family, the zoo is well equipped for all your day out needs, lots of fun things to do and some great animals
Purchased an annual membership because I go so often. Love the zoo.
Absolutely brilliant. Very friendly staff too, especially Jane the volunteer in the butterfly house. She is an absolute asset to the company
Great experience, good to see education around conservation
A great place to visit. Everything including the animals looks very well looked after.
Great value and a very interesting zoo we enjoyed looking around.
