Great fun for all the family. However, I suggest taking your own lunch as even though you've spent to get in they still keep their prices very high for food and drinks. It's a bit of a racket

Very good if you have a lovely sunny day. Also very expensive.

This place is ok but the food in the restaurant is very overpriced. We went for the Halloween special event but were a bit disappointed as all we saw were a few masks dotted around the place. An expensive day out.

Great day out here, weather was a bonus.
Parked just around the corner but arrive early to avoid dissapointment.
Small wait in queue but not a negative.
Loved the aquarium and seal feeding.

Always enjoy the penguins, makes for a nice day out.
Went with my little brother a year ago he liked the monkeys but was more interested in the cars in the car park which is just typical.
Good memories from when I was a kid I always loved the place.

Nice attraction but it's hard to come across lion feeding.

I have little experience of zoos, but have to say we really enjoyed our visit to Bristol Zoo! Managed to wander around and see everything and were very impressed! Was slightly sad to see some of the animals were pacing from boredom but I think that's inevitable in a contained zoo like this.

It is the best Zoo in the UK. You should totally go if you like zoo's.

Nice small zoo, relaxed and it's easy to forget that you are in a city (until you look up and see houses around you). A good afternoon.

Fantastic day out the children never stopped much more than just a zoo my grandchildren loved Zooropia expect to spend all day there

Great day out today, no where near as busy as I was expecting either.
Walked straight in this morning and have almost done everything, just the seal feeding to go.
Brought our own pack lunch and it's been real nice just ralaxing in the gardens.

A really nice place for a day out. Great animals and space are included in this fantastic place.

Nice view but not many places to get drinks and ice cream other than vending machines that were all out of stock

They call it a zoo !!!!! All i seen was birds a lion and seals..... to be onist the place is a waste of time..... see more animals I pets at home

I quite liked this place really caring about the animals and telling you how to act near the animals so they are not scared or hurt by us humans. There are nice walks all around. What let me down was the food mainly. There is a restuarant not too far from entrance and the food is just not very nice. I had the chipotle pulled pork burger which was fairly cold and pretty bad and pricey. But apart from that it is a lovely place

Genuinely the coolest thing ever. The seals swam on top of you in the tunnel, and it was amazing

What an amazing visitor attraction. We spent easily 5 hours at the zoo and could have spent longer if we'd wanted to go to all the talks/feeds. The underwater features at the aquarium and seals were particular highlights (move over Sealife-Bristol zoo was far better). The staff were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It did help that it was a sunny day, but as the zoo is fairly compact, I think we would have enjoyed it anyway.

Many animal species, wheelchair and very friendly, a great venue as well as restaurants, shops and garden area, suitable for families with children a day trip.

A small zoo but it has lots of wonderful animals with beautiful environments. Particular favourites are the penguin and seal walk-throughs.

The zoo is quite small but very good. My son loves the lemurs.

Not gonna mark them down for the stupid people clearly not caring about social distancing or thinking that others would like to see the animals. But the zoo is amazing as ever the path they have is very clear and easy my youngest brother loves the day out

Currently under covid restrictions the zoo have implemented a booking system and one way route throughout the zoo. Some areas are also closed. Bookings are online only. The system works pretty well considering the situation and staff are on hand to assist with any issues. They have food outlets available for take away and regular hand sanitising stations. Some indoor areas require a face mask, outdoors you aren't required to wear one. They've done a great job getting things back so visitors can attend. Thank you Bristol Zoo!

We came from Swansea for the day and really enjoyed it's not very big but was there for well over 3 hrs and lovely clean and well presented kids really enjoyed too

Great zoo with amazing outdoor and indoor exhibits the best nocturnal house I've ever seen and the rest is just as good. All staff very helpful and friendly. All a good price for a zoo in the city!!

What a fantastic zoo! Highlights for us were the seals and the tortoises. A great way to spend a day!

A fantastic example of a zoo. The animals look well cared for and there is so much to see it is likely that you'll need several visits. The zoo is doing some great work in conservation. A definite must for Bristol.

Just spent a cold March Saturday in Bristol Zoo, with my family. Always a great day out. Plenty to see but easy to get around with young ones. There are lots of attractions to break up your day out. As well as the animals and all their individual enclosure, their are different houses, reptile, bug, butterfly and the aquarium, which offer a break in out of the cold.

Then there is a playground, in the summer a water feature,so bring your swim wear and for the bigger ones a high wire experience, that looks challenging, and was quite busy when we visited, even on that cold day.

In the summer there are plenty of places to stop for coffee or food and plenty of picnic spots. The main cafe has had a major overhaul recently, and was perfect to get in and take a break, recharge all the batteries. This was the only place open when we were there. Offers a wide range of food. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Overall a great experience. Thanks to the very informative lady in the ape house, that gave us all the information on Jock and his family. And also a shout out to the three lovely ladies in the face painting area. Great job.

Don't particularly like zoos, but was using the conference centre for work. slot of really cool animals, but felt the larger ones, lions in particular seemed to be in a pretty small space.

Great place and amazing how they for so much into a small place. Very limited parking though, so dont expect to park nearby.

Had an amazing experience as zookeeper for a day, very hands on, met some lovely people and incredible animals. You need a full day to walk around the whole zoo and experience everything it has to offer, good value for money and lots of choice of snacks and meals.

I once worked here, so it help put me on my path to greatness. If you know me, you know that means Bristol Zoo has to be 5 stars. Done.

Bristol zoo packs a lot into a small space , so it s perfect for seeing everything without walking miles and miles to exhibits! Enclosures for the animals were spacious and full of entertainment for them, and I think the only animals we didn t manage to see were the red pandas, pretty sure they were hiding out. A lot of it was under a bit of cover so I m sure that you could still get a good visit on a cloudy showery day. A big variety of animals from gorillas to butterflies , lions to spiders (if they re your thing). The restaurant is great ! And reasonably priced ( but by no means cheap ) as expected from attractions like these. Plenty to do with play areas and a water park , accessible with a pram although I can imagine it being a squeeze in some parts when busy. Overall a great couple of hours out , my little girl was asleep after ten minutes but she did enjoy seeing the lions and all the animals in the nocturnal/dark exhibit. Highlights were the slow loris and aardvark, very cute ! And seen quite up close ! We will return when little one is old enough to appreciate it a bit more :)

Disappointing. Returned after several years to less animals. A lot of empty enclosures. Noah s Ark would have been a better choice. Gutted.

Great city zoo. Brilliant variety of animals, as an excellent conservation programme.

Lovely gardens, nice to see the animals, but not sure it's such a good place for the the larger animals to be kept inside a small cage eg loins!

Not too impressed with this place. Think I have been spoiled though after visiting Chester zoo.

Had a great visit. Friendly staff and lot's to look at. You need to add a more coffee shops around the site

Spent the day there got in cheaper as had a bus ticket which was a bonus place clean and tidy and staff were always in hand to help with any questions we had

Was fun for the kids! Weather didn't help with seeing most of the animals

Had a wonderful experience with family at Bristol Zoo. Kids loved it and so did grownups.

Had our Xmas party here and it was quite enjoyable. The food was decent and the alcohol selection ok, the only downside was the price of it. We did get access to the Zoo after the meal. This was a nice bonus, however Bristol Zoo isn't as big as when I was a kid. Overall a decent venue but could have been better for the money.

Good day out, lots of animals, a little pricey but kids enjoyed it, the lions and monkeys appeared to sleep alot even though they were most popular.

Interesting place, very kind to the animals and donate to a lot of wild life preservation so you know your moneys going back into the environment, would recommend if your in the area.

We really enjoyed time at this zoo. Its not the biggest one but there are plenty interesting animals. Restaurant inside is lovely and prices are good.

Great zoo, but no elephants, giraffes or tigers. Which are three of the "big 5" that you kind of expect to see at a zoo...

Had a lovely day, felt very safe and with restricted numbers you could get good views of the animals!

Lovely full day out, suitable for any age. The animals appear to be well cared for, and there was lots to see. The information about all the animals was good too. You can get money off entry tickets if you get there via public transport, and there's a bus that goes there directly from the train station

I would highly recommend Bristol Zoo Gardens as a day out. The staff and keepers are fantastic, every bit as knowledgeable as you'd want them to be. Excellent variety of animals, clean paths, engaging activities for children.
I caught the seal show and loved it.
The tunnels definitely added to the experience.

Visited as a Child and great find memories of the place and then again recently sadly this the me around was ok.

But Aquarium section didn't seem that great as in care and attention water seemed cloudy and Algae nor tanks filled up to top with normal fish tanks they had.

Needs but of TLC and freshning up in parts.

A reliably good day out for families. Gorilla house is amazing but plenty of interesting animals for all tastes. Cafe is a bit hit and miss.

Love this place! Smallish zoo but there is plenty to see!
