My kids and I got stuck in Colorado Springs due to a winter storm. Made it to Bristol Brewery. They waited on us hand and foot and helped us find a hotel. Awesome food and beer. Forever a special place in my heart for this brewery! No better place to stop off in Colorado Springs!

Food wont be the best but some of their beers are really great. Winter Warlock is definitely their best. Good or bad, this place remains busy most of the time purely because its a cool place to hangout at. A school turned brewery... smart idea.

I was highly disappointed with Bristol Brewing Company for both their service and the food. Our waiter was completely unattentive and on top of the food tasting awful, it was cold. I sympathize with a restaurant being busy because I have worked in the food industry for many years but, the experience was unacceptable. I am giving two stars only because the beer was good.

Had dinner downtown and came here for beer after dinner. Got the flight and enjoyed each beer. Wish I had room for food because the menu looked good. The staff were great. Service was good. Well set up brew house, lots of character. Would love to take some beer home but not sure how well it would travel to Vermont.

Fast and friendly service. With 2 babies and a 6 yr old, the challenge was on. The waiter handled it well. Food was good, their tomato soup was excellent, very different from others. Since they are a brewy, tried their Laughing Ale. Excellent and smooth. Watch out, it is 5.1 acholol content. We had a good time.

All they said sorry they get tired at the end of night.

This is my second time going to this place and it was good. I got a sampler off of their default list and all were great but I like all beers so don't trust me on that! Their sandwich and soups were ok. Its a really cool venue being that it was an old school. There are also multiple vendors and a coffee shop. Honestly, I wouldn't go for the food or beer. I would just go to just to say I've gone to a school turned brewery.

If you're at all a drinker, this is a must visit when you're in the area. The elementary school setting is cute though ironic, but the bar is also a really nice one, and on the Thursday night I was there they had live entertainment.

I love the location and I am glad they kept so many elements of the elementary school! The beer is pretty good, they have tasty food, but the service can be very hit or miss. Plus dogs are welcomed there.

Laid back atmosphere, great beer, decent food. They unfortunately ran out of some of their specialty beer that they advertise everywhere...but, I would recommend a visit if you've never been here before!

The setting/location is outside of downtown area and in a residential neighborhood. They converted an old elementary school into a brewery and multi venue spot. It's really unique as they also have a spirits tasting room separate (in the same structure) from their craft beer tasting room and restaurant. There is also a bakery in the building as well and a separate store selling their items.

I gave them a 5/5 rating because of the uniqueness of there site and the multi venues located within. Their beer, was really good and the food, well just average. Service started a bit shaky but ended solid and recovered well!!!

Bristol is a great place to go for a drink and some food. It pretty popular though, so you might have to wait a little while. The beer is great, and they have a fairly comprehensive selection of regular and seasonal draughts. The menu isnt especially large, with some sandwiches and burgers as the main offering, along with some interesting and tasty appetizers, but it's not really about the dinner. If you're looking for a lively pub with good eats and good beer, cant reccomend it enough.

Wonderful family gathering place. Food is good, albeit pricey. Beer is fantastic, and the servers are more than happy to explain the menu with you and provide you with samples of their draught beer before obliging yourself to a full pint. Free tabletop shuffleboard and dogs welcome on the patio. They also have a nice store for Bristol gear and treats for humans and dogs. Bristol hosts numerous events in their taproom and partners with other vendors in the area- make sure to check both their website as well as ivywild school for the best up to date information.

It's a sad day when I have to update the Bristol brewery rating and today is a sad day. I'm not sure they scaled well. Now instead if a Colorado Springs favorite, they come off like a large trying to be small brewery. The sad thing is they are not a real big brewery.

Beer is great, I enjoy their variety and quality. The dining experience was terrible. The food was soggy and bland. The wait staff was so disfunctional that we received our food 1 plate at a time every 15 min. It took our party of 5 almost and hour for all of us to get our food. I love the building and beer. Never again would I eat there.

Awesome building! I have never visited such a unique brewery. Overall a great place to visit for a beer and diner. My only complaint was that many of the shops we're closed when during the diner hours, and there is no simple way to see what all is here. Overall though I was very happy with the visit.

Bristol has really delicious beers. However, we went to the brewery last week, and the service at the bar was absolutely TERRIBLE. The bartenders ignored us for quite awhile, were unfriendly and extremely unprofessional. The staff was more concerned with talking to each other than serving customers. As an added treat, we also had to listen to one bartender complain seemingly endlessly about the dishwasher being broken. I recommend filling your growler and promptly leaving.

Enjoyed our visit very much, beer is varied with nice choices. The food was fair, nothing outstanding but waitress was very helpful and prompt. The location was super confusing for me as a non local, however. We arrived with no issues, thanks to GPS but it guided us to the back entrance. That was fine except that there are no signs or explanations of what you find inside. It's not just a brewery but several separate businesses, including a bakery and another bar. We wandered around trying to find the brewery, asked several employees with not much luck. Once we got situated, some of my party were pretty disappointed to find that we couldn't order from bar we stumbled over in the search for the brewery and sit together. Everything is separate, which is probably due to state law so I get that it's not a choice....but again, it's confusing. That said, love the use of the old school building and it has been done very well.

This brewery and restaurants are located in a converted old school building and themed appropriately. The place was a little warm and service to be seated and served was slow. If seems that while they offer food, they were not really used to having folks order and eat. On more than one occasion we had to find a random waiter for just the basics like silverware, napkins, additional beer orders, and even the check. Nothing horrible, but not what I would consider good overall service. The beer, of course, was fantastic. I enjoyed a bottle conditioned Saison. Funny part is the server had no idea what "bottle conditioned" beer even was. Oh well. Not sure I will go back just due to less than stellar service and poor hard to park location. Maybe when guests are in town? Hard to say.

It was really busy. I thought the waitress had more to do than she could cope with even. She was trying hard.
I ordered the Ploughmans Board. I thought it was overpriced and some of the meat was fatty. It could not have fed 2 people as the menu said.
My husband and son said they were both satisfied with their meals.

The beer is amazing. And the ambiance is awesome. If been in in multiple occasions and enjoyed there variety of beverages, but the service always leaves something to be desired. When I've visited the principals office we have waited an hour to an hour and a half to get our food and the one time I ate in the pub the food was underwhelming out waiter seemed overwhelmed and scripted, he would run away from the table after asking if everything looked/tasted ok and before we could ask for refills or orders. I'd go to phantom canyon if you want good beers AND amazing service.

By far the most unique brewery experience I've eve...

By far the most unique brewery experience I've ever had and I loved every second of it. The brewery itself has a storied history, but here is the quick, 30 second history lesson.

Bristol Brewing was founded in 1994 and have been rolling strong ever since. While on the hunt for a new, bigger location for their expanding business, Mike and Amanda Bristol discovered the holy grail: Ivywild Elementary School. This 1916 built elementary school was shut down in 2009 and was just wasting away in the brutal Colorado winters. The Bristol's purchased the building in 2011/2012 and, in collaboration with local community leaders, renovated the school to be Bristol's Brewing Company's new home. In addition to the brewery, the school-turned-beer-mecca houses a local bakery and a cocktail bar called "The Principals Office" (hardy har..) among other local community based businesses. Back to the beer though...

The brew pub itself is on the second story of the school where the horseshoe style bar seats close to 20. There are multiple high tops and tables with servers whirling around the pub as well. As with most breweries, there are rotating seasonal taps in addition to the year round staples. No matter what you choose, you won't be disappointed. I tried as many samples as I could (responsibly since I made the mistake of driving and not taking a cab..fail) and enjoyed each drop. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about the beers and can explain each to the T. Although I enjoyed each beer, there was one that stood tall and proud above the rest.

Although it is not on the menu, Bristol Brewing has a reserve stock of sours that will blow your freaking socks off. The Grand Cru style sour that I tried had been aging for 10 YEARS and was unlike any I've ever had. The aging had taken a decent amount of the "bite" off you normally get from a sour, but added an incredible amount of complexity. Incredible. Fun Fact: I was told the beer could not be sold outside the brewery since the recipe could not be found. As you need the recipe to determine necessary metrics (ABV in particular) and create a label, this is a "school house only" brew.

Whether you're a craft connoisseur or a weekend warrior looking to relax, you need to check out this place. I promise you won't be disappointed.

First and last time guest. I dont mind waiting at all for good food and beer, but really this is pathetic. While waiting for my table i would watch the food runner walking up and down the hall while eating food off the cart. The waitress couldnt sit still for more than 5 seconds for me to ask a question. When the food runner dropped our food off she just randomly sat the food down and would walk away even though i said ma'ma to her 3 times to ask a question. Then we were charged for ex ranch and mayo without advising it would cost extra or without having that information displayed on the menu. ALL of the food was cold. The only reason im even giving this two stars is tue beer was amazing. Next time, ill pick up some of there beer and just eat at home.

Not only where we practically like( shunned) and told to goto the other little cafe if we wanted togo service.(by a certain server) more or less actually denying business for their place fix the other place didn't even serve the same type of food and the lack of professionalism or courtesy or air goes the reason why they call it hospitality they took a long time. To bring us a chicken Caesar salad which the chicken was cold there was barely any dressing knowing it was for to go they actually put the dressing still on the salad and only drizzled on top the portions were extremely small the person who came out actually one even a server it was the person from the back kitchen was extremely rude for the prices that they have it was so not worth the crappy service so we went to the bartender when we paid out and we gave him the tip. So between the server was very dismissive to us. how to walk back and forth also not even trying to introduce his name besides the he didn't even ask what you could help us with or try to read through the menu or ask if we had any questions he more or less or tried to tell us to go to the one down the hallway I mean I love the Bristol Brewing Company where the concept is like a schoolhouse but they need to really understand what kind of service these people are actually giving and their lack of care or be nice the word Hospitality which that actually falls in category for a career was so far from it on top of it for the prices that you pay they were extremely small portions so we wound up tipping the bartender because he was the nicest person out of there because we had to pay with him to begin with because we waited and waited and waited for that server to come back and no one showed he didn't ask us what we wanted he didn't even know if it was going to be a four to go so we will end up giving them the rest of this gift card because we work at Texas Roadhouse and he want up getting a 50% tip to tipping the bartender cuz everyone else seemed to be so rude / dismissive or didn't even care and they weren't busy so there was no cause for this everybody else because they were extremely rude the bartender was the only one . So I hope that management start opening their eyes to a broader that perspective because they're going to lose more business than anything especially when you already have one server who greets you with in his greeting stated go to this restaurant this can't come here that can't come here blah blah blah I mean seriously didn't even introduce himself first
