The food was elevated pub food. The beer was as as delicious as the menu promised. The service was just the right amount of attentiveness. Each time I'm in COS, I make it a point to stop here.

Always good beer. Great service. Local family friendly environment
My favorite brewery in Colorado Springs when I come to visit my family,. great atmosphere !
While this place is neat conceptually, makes literally my favorite beer, and does fun events (prohibition party was a blast!), it would seem that this place could use some attention in the kitchen.
Considering they make like 90% of the beer I drink, I want to give them 5 stars. But in regards to the restaurant here specifically, I'm writing a 3 star review.
The menu options are poor, and it appears they have a huge affection for their weird stale bread, as it's hard to order anything on the menu that isn't on these dry slabs of mouth-eviscerating brick.
Here's hoping they make changes in the future to match the quality of their brew.
Until then, come for the beer, and just grab food elsewhere!
(Sorry Bristol, I still love you!!!!)
Last night, I went with my girlfriend because she's never been and was excited to go, that excitement quickly turned into an awful wait staff and multiple disappointmemts. We were seated outside (at the main bar area) and our waitress right off the bat was rude, short and clearly favored some tables to others. We put in our food and drink orders with her and the food came out promptly (fries and roasted veggies) delivered by somebody other than our waitress. STILL NO DRINKS. It would be good to mention here the the table beside us was also complaining about how they hadn't received their drinks yet either. It would be 30 more minutes until we saw head or foot of her at our table again (STILL NO DRINKS), although we saw her going to other tables. I actually had to leave my seat, walk all the way back to my car and grab my water bottle just so my girlfriend and I could even have water with our meal because our waitress hadn't brought us our beers or even any water. When she finally did come back to the table (STILL NO DRINKS), she made a comment and laughed about how she forgot about us and our drinks, for 45 minutes, and asked if we still wanted them. We replied no promptly and asked for the check. I wish that's where it ended but after she gave us our check it still took another 30 minutes for her to finally collect it and bring us our receipt so we could leave. Seriously an awful experience and I'll never purchase Bristol beer, even at my neighborhood liquor store, ever again.
Top beer! Really love them
Cheers,
Love being outside on a gorgeous March day with my dog. Beehive beer was delicious. Waffle fries with curry Mayo was mind blowing! Salad has changed since last visit. Needed a little more toppings. Barely any butternut squash.
Came here on a recommendation from some bartenders at Seven Falls. It is a very unique experience being inside a converted school. The staff is super friendly and it's just such a great mix of people! There is a beer for every palate.
Great food, great beer, great service!!! And a very cool location.
First off, it's housed in what used to be an old elementary school. It is a cool place. They have room for large gatherings. So far, the food we've had tried has been great. Prices are reasonable for a brewery.
The beer and food were great but the service was awful. Wasn't busy at all, waited about 10 minutes before we decided to flag them down for attention. This continued all the way until we left, had to flag them down for drinks, food and check.
Beer wasn't what i remembered it being. Food was so-so.
Love the atmosphere! The music is super nostalgic, the people are nice, and the burgers are to die for. Definitely going to be a spot I come back to when I visit
Kinda hot inside and service was really slow, but its a cool place to see
My favorite Colorado Springs brewery. A great selection of beers in a friendly atmosphere with good food.
Awesome place! The staff was great! Beer and food was great! Large selections of house brewed beers. Well worth the stop if passing through, this is how my wife and I found it on vacation. You can buy 12 packs of mixed brews.
Very good food and atmosphere. Service just OK although the waitress could have been very busy. Several Bristol Brewing beers available. Sat outside in pleasant surroundings. Walked around school after lunch and found it very interesting.
Great beer and atmoshpere. Staff is a little to be desired.
The brewery is in an old school, which is really charming. I wish I could say the same about the beer. The initial taste has the flavor profile that you would expect (most of the time), then it fades into a dish soap flavor. So disappointed! I really wanted to like any of it but didn't. I have a well rounded palate and know what each style should taste like. Unfortunately, I'd rather have a macro beer and that breaks my heart!
Just a brilliant idea. Multiple locations all within a single venue (Ivywild School). Good food and great beer!
Beer was good, employees were friendly, but it took nearly an hour for us to receive appetizers, and then another 45 minutes to get our food. The poutine had some pretty burned potato wedges, and the burgers and fries seemed as though they had sat for a while.
This place used to be an old school. The playfully historic atmosphere makes it a very cool spot to hang with friends. Several pubs in one location and plenty of delicious things on tap.
Really like this place. Had the chicken philly and a winter warlock. Awesome stuff. The staff was really on top of things and friendly.
All of the beers are delicious and the food is great. The menu is somewhat limited though. Wouldn't recommend if you've got an appetite.
The Bristol brewing company looked very enticing from the outside I was so excited to go it was recommended by my brother and we took a good look around and it was a very nice looking place then we go to sit down and they said it would take an hour. We understood because it was very crowded then we waited and waited and waited and the host yelled someone s name who was behind us finally I went up and asked how much more and he seemed to have forgot about us I was disappointed. Finally we got seated and asked for drinks that we had sampled earlier and we asked for them she then asked for our ID s and I m 52 my husband showed his but I didn t have mine with me so I asked since I was well overaged she went to ask the manager (the waitress was great) the manager continued to be not very understanding and didn t even come over to explain then our food took over an hour to come and it was burnt BRISTOL BREWING COMPANY is not a good place or hospital place to go.
Always have a wonderful experience here! Great brews and friendly service!
A little disappointing. We called before driving over specifically to inquire about the Sunday chicken dinner special, cause that is what we wanted to eat. Ward told on threw phone that the was plenty. Arrived at restaurant and told they did not serve that anymore. Literally the reason we wanted ti eat dinner at Bristol.
Mediterranean BLT was fantastic! The pretzels are outstanding! The shops and restaurants in a school building is a brilliant idea, the creaking wood floor brought me back!
Great beer, food, service. Love the new digs in an old school building
Cheese curds were great, even though they were not fried. We weren't sure what to expect, but we're pleasantly surprised! The beer was great as usual, definitely try one of their seasonal beers. Seems like they've always got something different on rotation.
A little different spin compare to most of the breweries I've been to this place was more of a sit down reastrant atmosphere. You have to wait to be seated at least in my experience. The hostess was not very invitting when we got there she was kind of a "B" but I wasn't there for her. We sat down and waited for about 10 mins never got a waiter or waitresses. One person did stop and asked if we had been helped we said not yet she walked away and no one ever came back.. So we left to Axe and the Oak..
Good service and amazing food, mid way through eating my food I had realized there was a hair on the side of my burger. That was when the game time decision had to be made, will I stop and tell them ? Or keep eating because the food was so dam good !! So I decided to keep eating, because I didnt care one bit !! The endorphins in my brain said no eat that right now, that dont phase a G.
Inside the old IvyWild School House, it s a destination that has plenty of decor to fill the educational theme.
If you re in need of an event space for a presentation or social, check out their barrel aging room.
They have a fairly well known lineup here. I was disappointed in their seasonal lineup. No sours, fruit beers, saisons, farmhouse, nothing fun and different. The concept is cool because it's in an old school house. There are other shops, bars, restaurants, and a distillery in the same location so that's cool! Definitely check it out. The patio is nice.
Great beer, good food, and the friendliest staff around! They are always helpful when we fill up our Corny kegs for the Super Bowl. Thank You!
Best Beer in CO Springs bar none! They are off to a slow start with the new IvyWild school location but the potential is awesome! Every time I go in they have a new addition to the brewery. It is cool enough as it sits now to make a visit but you can tell that in another year they will have a landmark brewery that will be a must-visit in CO Springs.
Best thing about Bristol is the atmosphere. The food is decent, definitely overpriced. Same with beers, hit or miss.
Staff very overwhelmed with handling customers. Food was fair. Service was fair at best.
My favorite brewery. Great beer, love the atmosphere and I always have a good time.
The food was good. I left my discontinued dark red Ray Bans on the table and called
About 15 mins after I left. they swore they had no idea where they were even tho I know exactly where l left them on the table. So if one of your employees shows up in dark red wayfarers I want them back.
Our server wasn t magical. She ordered us an appetizer and as we waited to order our main course we received and finished the apps. It wasn t until after she cleared our plates and we hadn t asked for a check that she decided to see if we wanted a real meal.
3 Stars cuz the food was good and my friend liked the beer. I don t drink I can t speak on that. You owe me some ray bans.
One of the most interesting breweries in town. It is located in an old school building and they restored it beautifully. Beer is pretty good. Food and shopping options available throughout the building. They have a large patio off the brewery. Service can be a bit slow depending on how busy it is. A must see on the local brewery circuit.
Good food. Great beer. Awesome brewery built inside turn of the century schoolhouse.
I love this place!! Great beer, excellent food, and cool history of the building. I sat out on the deck with some friends and it was a perfect evening. This was an old school built in 1912 that s been converted in to several different businesses. Parking is limited up front but there is more around the back. If you re planning a big group outing then you might need to park on a side street and walk over. I ll grab some pictures next time I m out there.
Stopped here first after driving into town for a few beers. Really good beer, the Laughing Lab Scottish Ale was my favorite. Nice patio space up top and they had a food truck the day I went. Good for groups or solo.
We went there Jan 23rd, 2017, for my son's birthday. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the product and guided us to choices we loved. The food was amazing, especially the fried pickles, the best I have ever had. we live in Austin but my son moved there in 2015, so visiting more often. We will be back. Wish we could get your beer down here.
Good service. Great beer. Nice atmosphere for casual get together.
We tried five different beers. All were very good. Great experience.
Great for a patio beer! Safe year-round beer selection with some fun seasonals. We go with our pup.
Wouldn't recommend the food though. Small servings, fairly bland menu, and slow food service.
Great atmosphere, solid food, and fantastic beer! It's not often you get to have a beer (or ten) on the hollowed ground of an actual school, and that was part of the charm too! What a great idea and a great set-up here. I was sure to purchase some Beehive and bring it all the way home - over 2,000 miles away, all based on a recommendation of a co-worker of mine.
Whenever I'm back in Colorado Springs I'd have to check this place out again.
I will be definitely coming back here next time I visit. The beer was great, and the location of being inside an old elementary school made it a nice touch.
Lost our place in line because your employee didn t explain to us that the beer garden does not serve food. Extremely frustrating experience
The beer is good however, the wait for food was too long, 1 hour. The food is okay. The patio is awesome
My wife and I shared a bottle of Bristol Quad 4 beer... pretty good! We also ordered the Ploughman's Board...a meat and cheese board that they touted as "feastly"...ah, no. the board was pretty thin on quantities, and at $17.50, very disappointing. In addition, the included pita bread wedges were stale. NOT recommended!
Great place for beer, vibes, and music. If we have out of town visitors this where we bring them. Something to like for everyone only issue is the parking. We had the sweet potato waffle fries and an ale on the patio and it was amazing!
The bartender, Tristan, was extremely helpful and educated on the taps. He made our visit here from out of town such a pleasant experience! Would recommend the Compass
Great beer and really good food, very unique building as well! Sometimes its hella busy so the wait for service can be a bit longer than expected, but always worth the wait. One of my favorites in Colorado springs!
Coolest brewery location I have ever seen! Such a unique space and great beer and food to pair with it!
Definitely stop in if you re in the area.
Very good food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. We will go back some Saturday and try out their breakfast fare.
I love their beer but don't enjoy the atmosphere or food. I fill my growler up regularly but just leave to drink at home with better, cheaper food, and a TV.
Brought coworkers from Belgium. Comment was that place was loud and service was rushed on beer "side" of place.
O-M-G! I sat at the bar and couldn't have been given the worse service that I have experienced in my 50 years in this life. Burger that was served with cold fries. Pushed an empty bottle of ketchup in the face of a bartender that was washing glasses, talking to a couple about dishwashers and not being from this planet. As i ate the fries one by one waiting for the bartender to break a foolish conversation that never ended, an empty glass of beer and an untouched burger, I had enough and decided to pay bill. The first time in my history, that I gave a zero tip.
So i spent 24 dollars for cold fries, 1 beer and an untouched burger.
After I left, I said forget it and i went to Old Chicago's.
Service is always a hit or miss, seems like some of the staff have no desire to be there, how unfortunate. Neat place and the beers aren t bad.
Food was good, beer was good, and Ivywild location was super cool!
Pretty cool location and the beer is pretty good too.
Great food, good beer, friendly staff, and a comfortable atmosphere
Yes it's an elementary school and yes their beer is amazing. Go to the bakery for desert, it's the best way to top off your experience!
The food here is amazing :-) really enjoyed the atmosphere. We will be back!
Very disappointing with the people who set the tour guide, neve call back and set up the wrong day!
Cool place and good beer, has a commercial vibe to the place though!
The Bristol Pub is excellent. I had the blue cheese burger and some Winter Warlock- AMAZING! The music they played was perfect. I'm looking forward to more business meetings here.
Great atmosphere, great service!! Really cool brewery that was formerly a school!!
Really great venue with solid beer! The barrel aged and darker beers are the stand outs here. At the time of this review, the barrel aged 23 is on tap and is a delicious and smooth barley wine. Be sure to get a seat on the patio for a great view and breeze. This is definitely a great stop if you're looking for a brew.
Beers are outstanding
Location is unique and interesting
Service was great
Food was average
An old elementary school turned into a pub! Great idea. Large enough to hold different venues.
Nice place, horrible slow service. Took 2 hours for us to get our food. They are swamped, and cannot accommodate the guests with proper service nor timely food.
Tiffany would like to go to Bristol Brewing Company on her birthday.
