Food was great, but my drink was lacking. I ordered a Blueberry Lemon drop and it had no blueberry or lemon flavor whatsoever. It tasted straight up like tequila with some color added. My meal was Texas shrimp and grits and I added a dozen oysters. All of that was served excellently and was great.

You CANNOT go wrong with Brennan's. Whether you're on a date, there for a special occasion, or attending a business lunch where the martinis are $0.25 a pop, this is the place to go. The turtle soup with sherry is a must as well as the banannas foster for lunch, and pralines when you're walking outnthe door. Everything is good here! Pro tip, call ahead and reserve a table with the highback chairs for a date, special occasion, or business lunch.

We had a phenomenal meal. Thomas was our waiter and made fantastic suggestions. Service was extraordinary. Every dish was better than the next and the beignets were perfect. Excellent restaurant worth going back to again and again.

Horrible place. Over rated! Parking issues, rude staff, food is normal, I have had better steak at ihop! Overall place feels like a senior citizens home. Most people mistake this place with the Brenner's at the Bayou, they are not the same company. This place is feeding on the name typo!

Love love love this place! Not only do they serve amazing delicious food but they also have excellent, non-judgmental service. The Brennan's in New Orleans is the snootiest, most stuck up place I've ever been to so the Houston location was a breath of fresh air! And if you have the opportunity to say hello to Richard, he will absolutely make your day!

The private patio and party room were decorated beautifully. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was hot and well-prepared. I will definitely return. The added bonus was the melt-in-your-mouth pralines that you get as a treat upon leaving.

Nice scenery (view)... but the food wasn't worth it to me (Didn't taste good). Also, I took my husband there for his birthday and the birthday desert they gave him was thesame exact cookies sitting out by the door as you walk into the restaurant!!! HORRIBLE

This is a place with great service if you are dining in the main rooms. I love Brennan's. I have had my birthday dinner there, friend's birthday dinners, anniversary dinner's for family, brunch on Sunday, and even just plain ol' let's go to Brennan's for dinner, and every time the service is of a higher caliber than 85% of restaurants to which I have ever been. I love the cocktail classes and other specialty events they hold. It is always a good time. My only gripe would be with the Bar staff. Every time I have been there it seems like they overlook certain people waiting at the bar. Last time I was with a large group and the bar was quite busy, however there were three servers behind the bar. Please tell me why everyone who came after me got serviced right away as I sat there with money in my hand waiting for them to acknowledge me. It took me raising my hand and waving it (which I hate to do) to get their attention. Other than that I always have a blast at Brennan's if I am with friends and we are sitting down to a dinner or cocktail hour.

They get everything right. The service, food, and atmosphere are all first class and make for a special night out. Undoubtedly one of Houston's best restaurants. It's not too loud either, which is a huge drawback in places like Pappas Steakhouse.

Excellent place to take your wife or that special someone. The hospitality and service from the time we arrived and departed was superb. The food was fantastically delicious and it was cooked to perfection. WOW! A great place to dine.

The meat is amazing - these folks really know how to cook. I'd happily eat here every night, if I could afford it. Salad bar is the best I've ever seen but be careful, don't eat too much green stuff because the highlight is the meat - beef, chicken, lamb, all perfectly cooked. Faultless!

Absolutely phenomenal renowned fine dining. We just celebrated Mother's Day and my Aggie graduation here, and everything from the aperitifs to the dessert was exemplary. If you have not visited this Creole classic, you must as soon as you have the opportunity. Fransisco was our server, and our friend Joey provided us with Mother's Day appetizers on the house. Both are excellent servers and will ensure you have an unforgettable experience. Thanks, and Gig 'Em!

Just had brunch at Brennan's, the food met my every expectation and my server Wally was refreshingly casual but professional. We were briefly entertained by the band who happened to sing one of my favorite songs "At Last" by Etta James. Our experience went well from the valet in - to the hostess thanking us out. The pralines as a little bonus treat were a nice touch. Brennan's will certainly be one of our "go to" spots for out of town guests.

From start to finish our lunch experience was unpleasant. We called for a last minute lunch reservation and the hostess informed us that would be fine and we made the reservation. Upon arrival the hostess was very disorganized informing us that they had run out of tables. I am perfectly content to wait for a table but as a professional, I should never enter a restaurant and be told they are running out of tables !

Our server, Felix, was very informal and seemed to not know the menu; when we asked questions he frequently stumbled over his descriptions. When we asked for suggestions, he was unsure. I ordered a glass of wine and needed to send it back because it clearly had been opened for too long and had lost all of its complexity. They did open another bottle which I was thankful for. Lastly, we had to search out a different server to pay for our lunch because ours disappeared after dropping the check.

I can always forgive bad service if the food quality is superb however of the 4 entrees we ordered only two were of decent quality hardly what we expected for a $200.00 celebration lunch! We were extremely disappointed in the overall experience.

This is a place where I expected to be wowed, and wasn't. The service was sub-par, the food was average... it was a nice looking place. The dessert was amazing, which was kind of a requirement for the company that invented bananas foster. The best aspect, though, was the bartender -- who had been going to Brenan's for so long, he knew the history of much of the restaurant, and he took the time to show us around (by the time our slow/bad service was over, they were about to close). It was fascinating learning about everything! Great guy -- he alone was worth the visit. And, at the end, they give you homemade pralines (really good pralines, if you like that sort of thing).

Good food and service. They have their own butcher area and you can choose your steak, but for lunch I normally get the salad bar. Vegetables, salad, fruit and bread all seem fresh. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it for kids, just seems like a good place for adults

Went for brunch on a Saturday morning.

We had a lovely window table in the main dining area with high back seats.

The food and the service was absolutely fantastic.

My only negative would be I was recommended something off the menu and when the check came it was way more expensive then anything on the menu.

Overall it was a great brunch unfortunately probably a bit over priced. Would have to be a very special occasion to come again.

Lovely old school ambience. We went here for our one year anniversary, and they even put a yellow ribbon on the table to honor. And I love fancy restaurants that give you tabasco sauce without you asking (in all fairness, of course this is because it features spicy cajun cuisine) :

The outdoor garden is also lovely! And it seems as though the waiters work there for a long time which is a symbol that the restaurant takes care of its own people too.

My friends and I first came here for lunch, and I like it. An amazing service and a very exhilarating atmosphere. I don't know, Justin, who just loves his job, but he's also gorgeous. Makes our experience more enjoyable. Of course, the food is good too. I'm from New Orleans, I'm very keen on asking some of my hometown and national dishes. I tried jumbo soup. I'm in Houston any restaurant to eat the best dishes, feast, last, anniversary, graduation dinner, etc. The atmosphere is very neat and elegant, but the eyebrows are not very high. It's easy in the Houston area to get the best food card in June high-end, maybe in Texas.

I take my girlfriend here on her birthday! We dress really fancy, who doesnt like dessing up? We feel like millionaires when we get that kind of food and service! yeah its pricey, but you cant beat the food and atmosphere!

Wonderful experience, food, service and atmosphere! My girlfriend and I were celebrating our 2 year anniversary. They acknowledged and congratulated us at the host stand, the table and on the rim of our dessert. The staff is very attentive. Well paced meal. The shrimp prepared table-side was fun, and also delicious.
