Very happy with our experience. Family of 3 and 1 kid. Seated promptly and all the staff was very friendly. Nice outdoor seating in the back on a patio, with curbside and limited indoor seating also available. Good social distance protocols were flowed from what I could see.
The crab and avocado starter and calamari appetizer were full of flavor and very fresh.
Lobster roll was amazing. Perfectly toasted bread which was overflowing with lobster.
Fish tacos were bursting with flavors that complimented each other perfectly. One of the best I've had.
The seafood risotto was also great. Overall very pleased would highly reccomend!

Do not get the chicken. $20 for 4 tiny pieces of chicken and slaw. I know it's a seafood place, but come on. I was expecting a much bigger piece of chicken and more then just a small dish of cole slaw. If it wasn't that my wife gave me her fries I would have still been hungry. Now about the fries: We only had 5 steakhouse style fries on the plate. It wasn't until we left that I saw another table get a much bigger order. I feel cheated.

Love this restaurant! Very cozy atmosphere, quick and friendly service! Fantastic and fresh seafood, definitely try the crab cannelloni- not to be missed. Nightly specials always delicious and you can t beat the scallops. They also have a variety of seafood tacos which make for a tasty dinner as well. Best to have a reservation. Don t miss Boulevard Seafood!

Excellent food and tservice is great and safe. Mask wearing by all employees and patrons are spread out between each other. I had the crab cakes, and others had the special flounder and the lobster roll. Overall, a great experience. Hope to come again in the near future.

I loved the atmosphere and service but wasn't impressed with the food. The salmon tasted like straight curry. Usually coconut jasmine rice has a nice sweetness to it but everything just tasted like one note curry. It's not worth going again for the price.

Cozy but modern atmosphere, love the brick walls. Service was prompt and waiters were very friendly. You definitely get your bang for your buck, generous portions for the price. And the food is fantastic! The only thing I didn't enjoy was the risotto, it was more like rice pudding, but everything else was delicious and perfectly cooked.

Went here for a nice date celebration. I wish it hadn't listed itself as having cocktails and then being a BYOB place. We would have lived our lives a little differently that night.
Oysters were delicious and it was fun to watch them open them at the raw bar near us. The food was fresh and interesting.
A really nice little place, just remember to bring your bottle of wine.

Delicious food. Came here for Valentine's dinner and got the Prix Fixe menu, as well as some oysters. The only thing was that I didn't realize this place was BYOB, but that was my fault.

We walked in without a reservation and the hostess somehow managed to seat us within 5 minutes - place was packed! The calamari and focaccia bread were SO good. Great service and fantastic food all around. We will be back for more!

Food was average
Prices for an app and two entrees was $100
No bar
So overall experience is a 2 out of 5. Since I went on a Saturday early I figured there should be no issues. (4:30pm)We were probably the first of two tables to be sat for dinner. Seems like they were more concerned with appearance of food than cooking it properly. For instance, scallops were seared perfectly. But that also means they were overcooked. Even the best of cooks have a hard time executing this. Risotto was another complete miss. However they cooked it, it turned out more like a rice pudding texture that a cream rice. I know it seems it would be the same but once you had risotto cooked properly you can tell the difference. Now I m being hard on the chef but I am more than willing to pay to get the best food. I also love local spots. Food was good. I didn t have to send it back. I enjoyed that meal just missed what I expected.

A scrumptious meal! Fresh Steamed Lobster after a half dozen FRESH blue point oysters hit the spot most definitely. However i leave three stars because of some confusion with the staff. Researching this restaurant on the web i noticed no price for the live lobster so decided to inquire by phone, which i was told "depending on the size of the lobster, $20-$30". it wasn't until the check arrived that i realized she must have meant "Per pound"! A mistake I'm sure, but a very costly one to make at the expense of the customer. A comment must also be made about our waitress who seemed to neglect us at times, and showed great disdain when dealing with us. Not sure what was going on, overall a great meal, but the experience left a sour taste in our mouths. In the end, everyone is entitled to one bad day, and i would still recommend this place in the future.

Food was average. I would skip the shrimp & corn chowder altogether though. The service was way less than average. I think they recruit from a halfway house or some kind drug program. They all seemed high AF and one brick short of a load. Just order off the menu as is and keep it simple....for your sake.

Food is fantastic, had the salmon with rice, lentils & spinach in a curry broth, very good. I wish I would've ordered medium rare instead of medium though. Overall would definitely recommend!

Wait staff is not attentive and no AC, We had to ask for plates for the paella. Asked for things never got them. Didn't feel attended to and physically was sweating during dinner. Food is average at an above average price

I normally will not write a review of restaurants because there are so many variables and anything can go right or wrong at any given time. This is an exception and could totally have been avoid on their part. The Menu looked great and the kitchen looked awesome, it was really too bad we could not sample anything. After being made to wait 8-10 minutes we were finally sat in a half empty dinning room. (having worked in various restaurants I can attest that even with our need for a highchair they totally could have accommodated us sooner). After being served tap water from a chilled ornate bottle by a server who said not a word, we made are selections from the menu and I for one was excited to get on with the meal. Alas it was not to be, after about 15 minutes another couple was sat at one of the many empty tables. 5 more minutes and someone was taking their order and no one had yet talked to us. That was when we notice that not one of the other patrons had any food in front of them. Now we were 30 minutes in and no one except the hostess had even said a word to us. That was when we left, I said it could have been avoided, all someone needed to do was say "Hi" and maybe take a drinks order. But instead we left disappointed and to top it off the hostess gave a cheery "goodbye" as we left as if it were a good thing that we were leaving, it was.

Nice place. BYOB although the website has a wine list. Softshell crab tempura is more like a beer batter. Clam with chorizo was very nice not salty, very light broth. Had the grilled black seabass with 2 sides but one piece of a fillet. Really! For $32! And a seafood risotto. This dish was good, however, lobster meat was overcooked. Lucky the cappuccino was very good! The best was my waitress Rachel. She was very nice n attentive!

A gem. Unpretentious but very clean looking. The configuration, typical of Somerville, NJ, is well used. Lower tables are far apart enough to hold a conversation. Great photos on the walls.

The food we chose was exquisite. The raw oysters and clams were very fresh and opened with care. The salmon tartare was very well prepared and well organized on the dish. The octopus and shrimp were scrumptious.

Service was helpful and neat. The servers were somewhat stretched probably management had not planned for such a large clientele at 2 pm (I mean this as a positive - lunch at 2pm?)

Wine by the bottle only when we were there.

We shall return with pleasure

Fresh and delicious seafood. My favorite is the small plate crab & avocado cannelloni. The sides dishes are also great, especially the sauteed spinach. I definitely recommend this place for any seafood lover.

Last week was our first time we visited this excellent restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the attentive service, with the exceptional cuisine and wine and with the friendly charge. We will absolutely come back soon.

I'm adding to my review from 6 months ago, I went to Boulevard tonight with my wife. Service was bad, the waitress was over her head with 3 tables. After our food was delivered to the table a had to wait 5 minutes for a spoon, and that came from the bus boy because our waitress was MIA. The food was ok, nothing special, I had the mussels Curry which needed a lot more Curry. My wife had fish and shrimp tacos which as she said we're ahh. I think the tacos are much better at the Salted Lime, that's where I'll go next time.

I've been here 3 times now never been disappointed. I've had the seafood pyia excellent, salmon with mustard sauce and shrimp tacos all three meals were excellent. Tuesday through Thursday is oyster happy hour, makes me happy.

We visited this restaurant in NJ during a business lunch, and it was such a nice surprise! First of all, I love seafood, so I was excited to go to a seafood restaurant. Second, they had high reviews, so that got me even more excited, that maybe this would be a great place

They have an open kitchen, pretty large, with counter seats facing the kitchen. There are high table seating behind the counter. After that, there is more dining area with regular height tables. They have exposed brick on one wall, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. It also had heavy use of wood and exposed duct work, adding a bit industrial and modern look. And, it didn t end here. They have a nice, large, outdoor wood deck patio! We didn t sit outside, but it is nice to have the option. They had good space, enough to entertain a good amount of crowd.

There was only one server during this lunch hours, which was surprising... He was doing the best that he could, but the speed still suffered. It was a bit slow, but we understood the situation so we were not too bothered by it. The server was very nice and friendly.

We had nice, relaxing lunch. I would love to go back again for more great seafood! Read my full review of this restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

Fantastic! Food was delicious, service was awesome. Requested the wrong dish, not an issue, server quickly rectified and quickly brought out the desired dish. Oysters,Tuna, salmon, calamari and crab were top notch. Can't wait to return and bring our friends. Thanks for making our 35th anniversary so special.

This will certainly be the last time we go to Boulevard Seafood. The portions were extremely small, very over priced and the service was extremely poor. I had the scallops for my main meal and received three scallops with a little bit of potatoes and mushrooms. My wife received a piece of salmon that was 3" square for $32. My friend had the Seafood Risotto which contained two scallops, one small pieces of lobster and one shrimp an a small portion of risotto. You should have seen my friends face when he received his meal. When I asked why the portions were so small the waitress asked me if I had ever eaten there before. That was some answer. I ordered a coke which I never received and was billed for it. After we left the restaurant we were all still hungry and fount another place to get something to eat. If you are looking for an expensive snack you found the right place.

BYOB. Friendly but a bit rushed service. Had the fish tacos which were good, but too expensive for what it was. Shared appetizer and desert. Total came to a bit above $100 for 2, I think a bit over priced, but with fresh fish in Somerville I guess that s the rate.

I ordered the chicken dish, as I'm not into seafood and it was fantastic. All my family ordered seafood dishes and naturally they asked me to try it to get me into seafood and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The chef definitely knows how to make good food. Prices are average for a high end seafood restaurant. It is BYOB and they do not charge a corking fee which is nice. Service was good. The bread they give you is just as excellent as the food. Overall a great experience. I might just have to come back despite not eating seafood. My only suggestion would be to add 1 or 2 more non seafood options. Even a vegan options would be nice.

Love this little restaurant! Great gem in the middle of town that has a wonderful menu with daily specials. Work in this area so have only been for lunch when coworkers come from afar. Never disappointed!

Our third time here and likely our last. Service was fine but food is just "ok". And for the price, it's simply not worth it. We don't mind spending good money on good food, but this just isn't that.

Delicious choices, clean and quiet spot. I don't care for noisy dinner spots. This was perfect for a Saturday Eve. Dinner at about a little after 8pm we arrived got a table in 5 min. Outdoor eating area like a cute quaint back porch. Excellent service. BYOB. reasonable prices for fresh seafood dishes. The timing of everything inbetween dishes was perfect not rushed. We had 2 app's. Two Entrees, Bottle of Pellegrino and a dessert. Cost less than $100 for 2 people. Well worth the $ and time.

We sat in the open view of the kitchen. Our dishes were all as fresh as can be. Living in New Jersey should mean the best quality seafood. Our waitstaff was very attentive an helped to steer us on our choices. The pictures are included. Boulevard Seafood is BYOB. No downside to this because there are a plethora of places to grab wine and the fabulous Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge Verve is a short distance away. Highly recommended.

Service was adequate, but the food quality did not remotely equate to the pricing. I ordered tuna - rare. I got tuna that was cooked well past medium. The mushroom risotto tasted like they had simply poured heavy cream over rice. (I've had equivalent taste experiences from a box of Kraft mac & cheese.) My meal was $40 + tax. It was worth about $16 at best. Everything tasted like it was made the day before and put in the fridge overnight. This place seems to have fallen off a cliff, quality-wise in the past 15 to 18 mos. We've been 3 times previously, and I chose to go here on my birthday bc we hadn't been in a while. What a huge disappointment.

My review is for my last visit during weekday lunch (Tuesday-Saturday). They offer plates for $14 or pick two with a dessert for $22. Choose the pick two with dessert, you won't regret it!!!

My husband and I chose the mussels and fries Provencal (wow!!!), the octopus and shrimp salad (yums!), The salmon club, and the fish tacos. The salmon club was probably the best sandwich I've ever had. Salmon was moist and soft and fresh. The club had two really big thick cut bacon strips with arugala and served with some type of mayo. Amazing. The fish tacos had huge pieces of lightly fried cod and it blew my mind. Came with guacamole and a lighter version of a tartar sauce. Every bite was fresh and flavorful with just the right amount of acid/bite from the fresh toppings.

Everything was a complete satsifaction to every extent. Flavor was amazing and everything was prepared to order in their open concept kitchen.

Dessert was a choice between carrot cake and creme brulee. The crene brulee was bruleed to order and was perfect in terms of flavor and texture.

The owner Mike was so nice to check on us and ask us how our experience was. We found out he owns the bakery next door as well as it was connect led to the restaurant.

Decor was so nice and the music playing was relaxing hits from the past. Honestly such a great environment. We got a ton of seafood for under $50 for the two of us. You just can't beat that. I'll definitely be back.

Seafood was definitely fresh and delicious. We live in town and have been desperately awaiting a genuine seafood establishment. We ordered a dozen oysters of different varieties. They were brought out and the server nor manager were able to distinguish which oyster was which. Still will definitely come back. The tuna poke was to die for

We have been here a few times, especially when my husband gets his hankering for oysters. Love the food, music and atmosphere and they are really accommodating with my toddler and making our experience great.
