Boulevard Restaurant Review

Delicious cuisine and excellent waitstaff, service is fast and friendly. As a bonus, they also have seafood marketplace for those of us that like to cook at home. Nice view of the kitchen from the bar, makes for interesting and entertaining dining.

We had 7 small plates to share with 4 people- only because we couldn't choose!! They were all excellent!! Very fresh!! Can't wait to go again!!

Excellent in every detail. Start with the dozen of six different oysters and it keeps getting better.

The food itself was great and came out piping hot. Kudos to the chefs. However, the staff was very disorganized. Requested sparkling water, got bottles of warm, flat water with no ice in the glasses. Asked for tablespoons, never got them at all. Never got bread but saw it on all the other tables, so we had to ask. Had to flag someone and literally ask twice for everything else. Waitress would say OK and then off and forget. Waitress never checked the table. Eating mussels, someone took the bowl for the shells away while I was halfway through. So, I think that they need to send the staff for much more training.

Had an excellent meal! Gazpacho with a lobster-watermelon salsa. Fish tacos with seared tuna & pineapple ice cream with chunks of brownie. Our entire party thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the service was impeccable. No complaints here! Can t wait to go back!

Everything here was fine. Not amazing, not bad, just fine. The decor is a bit unusual and fun. The prices were a bit high but not unreasonable for fresh seafood. The portion sizes are adequate. I had the evening's flounder special and it was edible but nothing interesting. I also found it to be a little too moist. The side of asparagus was actually bland, unusual in my opinion for asparagus, but dipping it into the sauce for the fish improved the taste. Again - nothing was bad. It's just that I've had better.

This spot is amazing and broad, the meals was delicious and the prices were very affordable. rapidly, productive service and very friendly staff members. Recommended.

The food is usually good. However, the last two times service has been absolutely awful. Had dinner one time where the server had a horrible attitude. Ordered a side and an entree, server brought two entrees instead and acted like it was my fault. Service is also painfully slow, stopped in for lunch and took an hour for a sandwich to be made and delivered to the table even though there was no crowd. Hard to want to go back when there are so many other great options in the area.

Really enjoyed having dinner here last night! Great staff, great chef, great environment and great selections! If you are ever in the Somerville section, be sure to check these guys out, they rock!

Went here for lunch and really loved their Salmon Cakes and salmon sandwich. The lump crab roll had a bit too much mayo for me but my husband loved it. We will definitely be back.

Great find in downtown Somerville. Food, atmosphere and service all were great. Already had plans of our next visit before we even left. BYOB too.

We showed up at prime time without a reservation and the host got us a table. Great atmosphere, service was exceptional and the food exceeded expectations! By far the best soft shell crabs I have ever had!

Edwin is a master class server and the menu, so creative and unique. We had Yellowfin tuna poke, grilled octopus and shrimp salad,
Lump crab and avocado with mango, sria ha battered shrimp, little neck clams in a tomato broth. So good. I would order the exact same thing next time except the rest of the menu sounds so good.

You won't get any seafood fresher then here... But their plate could be a little bigger.

If you love fresh seafood, then this is the place you want to try. Excellent servers as well!

Food and service were both excellent. We enjoyed sitting at the chef's table... A counter overlooking the kitchen. The grilled specials were expertly prepared. The small plates had a nice variety. This place is not inexpensive but the fact that it is a BYOB makes it worthwhile.

This place has dangerously delicious seafood dishes! Try their surf and turf and the seafood rizzoli.

It's my Birthday and we came to Boulevard Seafood. It was the first time but not our last, the wait staff was great and the food was too shelf.
I had the Seafood Risotto which was full of crustaceans. I would recommend this place to any Seafood Lover.

A little pricey, but their open kitchen is really cool to watch. Great oyster selection. I go with smaller the tastier!

One of the best restaurants in Somerville for sure! Everything is SUPER FRESH! Prices are reasonable too. I had the jumbo lump crab avocado cannelloni and mozzarella watermelon salad as appetizers both were excellent! Their signature appetizer is the jumbo lump crab avocado cannelloni. If it s your first time here definitely order it! For entrees I had the seafood risotto, halibut, and the pappardelle with gulf shrimp. All 3 were amazing! Again everything is as fresh as can be! Desserts are a must order here! They are all outstanding! I had the chocolate torte and the vanilla bean cheesecake. The cheesecake was one of the best cheesecakes I ever had! It was rich and creamy with a perfect graham cracker crust! The only thing I don t really care for is now with the outdoor dining they are serving Spanish chips instead of bread to start. The Spanish chips are really good, but their bread is even better. I highly recommend Boulevard Seafood Company In Somerville!

I must have went in on an off time because the waitress was a little busy and it didn't seem like she had any help but the food here is phenomenal!! I got the seafood pasta which most places put in a few shrimp but it's mostly noodles. At Boulevard it was almost like every bite had seafood in it! and the sauce was amazing! I've eaten here a few times and every time i remind myself i need to come more often because it's so good. I also had one of the desserts, it was like chocolate cake and so rich. Perfect portion sizes too, i wasn't overly stuffed and wasn't hungry afterwards. Definitely a great date night place and it's been quiet most of the times i've been and a nice clean restaurant on the fancier side too.

Seafood was fresh and our orders were correct and delivered quickly. I ordered two tacos which were advertised as $8 a piece. The server came back and told me I had to order a third which I knew I couldn't eat. The next table ordered tacos but their dish only had two. I was annoyed I was forced to order something I didn't want and wouldn't eat, wasting money. Otherwise the food and service were ok.

Not worth the money. Also I got sick from the food. I only went here because the reviews were amazing. Well these people must of never eaten at a restaurant that is considered higher class dinning. If I had to put it politely it was fancy diner food. I should of known better when an appetizer comes out overcooked. Chewy scallops either because they were frozen at one point, cooked too long or just not fresh. Either way pass on this place. Red lobster or bonefish would be a better choice. Trust me that s a sad statement to make.

Don't review much but this place deserves it. Been coming to the area for work and haven't been impressed much with dining options, if you like great seafood, atmosphere, friendly staff AND a byob place you can't go wrong. Hardest part is choosing. Came here several nights in a row and will next time in town as well. Liquor store down the street to pick up your drink of choice before coming in.

Amazing food. My boyfriend said it was the best clams he s ever had. He s allergic to shrimp and lobster but the chef was very accommodating and served him the dish without it and he didn t have any reactions.

We sat at chefs table, watching the chefs and all the food come out! The grilled octopus salad was better than my favorite restaurant in nyc! We loved it!

Food was great. I remember the place being very noisy but that was not the case tonight. Only problem was the service. Dishes came out wrong. Also appetizers and meals came out at different times. Servers were no help.

Visited Boulevard Seafood for the third time and came away with an even better opinion. The food still has a freshness to it that makes you think that you are very near the ocean. The wait staff is pleasant and friendly. The restaurant has a very lively atmosphere and can be loud at times, but that's because everyone is enjoying their food so much. Will definitely be back. My favorite are the seafood tacos. They burst with flavor.

Great brunch place. Don't let the name fool you. There are more than just seafood options:. delicious French toast, freshly-made buttermilk pancakes, customizable omelets.

The food tastes great, the presentation is lovely, the ambience is energetic without being too loud, and the service was great (thank you Michael).

Dinner was fresh and tasty as usual, but service was less than desirable.

Ordered the Surf and turf medium well. Steak came out medium rare TWICE. Took them 3 opportunities to get the steak cooked properly. Taste was good, shouldn t have to wait 10 extra minutes to have your dinner cooked properly. We were one of two tables in the restaurant at the time. Couldn t even say they were busy. Shame.

Blvd seafood has great food and spectacular service and bringing your own wine is a plus!

I had the best meal ever! Everything was so fresh and yummy! Service was great and the environment was beautiful! We had a wonderful experience!!

From the moment we walked in the staff was wonderful! We interacted with the hostess, the food runner, our server and the manager and everyone was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff beyond accommodating.

We've been here twice and we left very satisfied. The food was exceptional and our group of 11 was handled well. One negative was the creme brulee. The creme was not creamy, but rather clumpy and somewhat dried out. Taste was great as was the brulee, but this needs some attention. Other deserts were great.

The Boulevard Seafood Risotto was bland. The single shrimp, piece of lobster and two scallops were tasty but not worth the $32 price. The risotto was pasty and bland. The mahi-mahi was very good and a decent portion. The fish and chips were disappointing. The fish was greasy. The 6 fries that came with it were very good. The cranberry cheesecake was delicious. All in all the restaurant was over priced for the quality.

We ordered take out from seafood restaurant and overall their food was great. Their Truffle risotto with Maine lobster and scallops was delicious. We also ordered their Salmon horseradish crusted which wife really enjoyed. It s been awhile since I visited location and would love to be back for outdoor dining or indoor once things get better. Thanks for such a great meal.

Fast, friendly service. Plates are quite small, though.

My wife does not like seafood. The online menu shows a number of non-seafood dishes. After we were seating we discovered the only non-seafood dish was streak. Very disappointing.

A great brunch destination that is byob with a fresh fish menu!

This morning 6/7/2018, one of their drivers almost ran me off the highway. I was on the cross bronx on my way to work with my child on board. The driver forced himself into my lane, as he entered from a merging lane onto the cross bronx. He was reckless and did not care that he was putting a child in danger. I called the company to tell about what he did and the manager just said he never had any accidents in 10 years. As if it wasn't important, or as if it didn't matter much. Disgusting!! This is outrageous! I will never ever have anything to do with companies like yours who hire crazed people with road rage and are reckless enough to hurt others just to get ahead on the highway.

My wife and I went here with another couple and had a wonderful time. The service was excellent and the food was even better if possible

Food is very good and nice atmosphere. However; we were a party of 6 and we waited 1.5 hours for seafood tacos. We were told 3 times that the food was coming up while we watched other people who came in later being served. I understand that sometimes the kitchen gets busy but management should be honest with their customers.

Amazing food! Our family had a dinner/reunion here and every dish was spectacular . Everything tasted fresh and was accompanied by great service by the wait staff. We will definitely be back!

This is BYOB in you're wondering. Some reviews are conflicting.

The duck spring rolls and potato gnocchi gratin were delicious. The seafood selection is excellent. The service is friendly.

I ordered a 2lb lobster, and the waitress came back to the table to tell me that their smallest lobster was a little more 3lbs. I reluctantly agreed to it, and ultimately it probably wasn't the best decision; The lobster was pretty tough, which I was kind of expecting with a large lobster, but it was rather disappointing. I would suggest calling ahead to make sure they have inventory of reasonably-sized lobster if that's what you're in the mood for.

This place gets very busy on weekend evenings (and loud). I suggest making reservation, and be prepared to wait a while for your meal. Just bring a bottle of wine be sure to go here with someone you like to talk to who isn't hard of hearing :-).

Good place to go for seafood. Restaurant is a bit narrow but nicely decorated. Brought family there for a birthday celebration and was pleased with the meals, service and atmosphere. A bit pricey so very good that it is a BYOB!

The corn shrimp chowder is something we keep going back for. My husband had the small scallops dish which was good but my dish of grilled shrimp on a bed of green beans almondine with a sauce of capers & butter was absolutely delicious. Disappointed with our server who said she was new and was not any help with the menu items. We will keep going back.

Good fresh seafood dishes, excellent soup and varied specials, next door they have Conlins Cafe which has awesome bread, desserts, and breakfast snacks.

We had a reservation for 8:30pm and still had to wait an hour!! Very poor planning. Some people even left after having a reservation and waiting over an hour. Will never go back!

Fantastic crab stuffed flounder. Swordfish was terrible. Nice atmosphere and simple menu. Also BYOB which is refreshing.
