One of my favorite restaurants yet tonight they dropped the ball. Ordered Togo at 7:03pm the restaurant was busy so I knew it would be a while but no problem I really wanted a salad from them. 7:30 comes and now I m starting to see people that dined in after we ordered leaving. I don t want to bother anyone it was busy and I know how hectic things get in a restaurant so I wait until 8 then decide to ask about my order.... the food was ready and just sitting in the back... needless to say the chicken I ordered with the salad was ice cold...while I appreciate the apology the gentleman gave I feel like I should have been offered a remake on the
chicken that is cold.

Good Morning Brenda,
I'm not sure how to reply other than here so if you would like you can email me at princessparis333@gmail.com or leave your email....
Thank You For Your Reply.

The Boulevard is a pretty good imitation of Houston's which was at that same location and basically they have kept all the furniture and some of the staff as well.
The food is just ok. Doesn't have the same recipes as Houstons of course but pretty close. I suppose they couldn't quiet steal all the recipes for legal reasons.
Bartenders are not friendly nor approachable. They talk alot to their regular customers who visits more often because they are retired and have all the time in the world.
Food is just ok. Nothing special. Too expensive for a restaurant that has taken all of Houston's recipes. No originality.!! Service needs to mprove. Waiters need to be alot more friendly and smile more.
Location is great and for this reason, they will survive.

I had the Houston's Hawaiian steak $33. It absolutely had no flavor and this was one that was ordering special, extra marbleized. Very disappointing. This had no flavor to it, even adding the salt did not help. Don't know what the cut of meat was but it really wasn't good. My friend ordered her steak rare and when she received it it was totally overcooked and she had to wait for it to come back out and by that time myself and another was completely finished with our dinner. No management showed up and we had to ask for a free dessert for the inconvenience. Our person that served us was fine but the food was flavorless. Very disappointing. Love this place with a great Passion when it was Houston's. I personally gave it three tries and will never return.

NORMALLY I WOULD REVIEW 5 STARS BUT SEE EDIT FROM 05/09/20

I know it sounds goofy but this is the restaurant I go to for every big moment in my life, when I met my love of my life, I brought her here, when I proposed to her, I brought her here, and now that we are having a baby, we had our final (for a year or so) date here. Everything is always spectacular. We always have a great time and are still very excited to continue our tradition for years to come. If I could recommend, try the smoked salmon and the Hawaiian Ribeye, but I have yet to find anything bad.

EDITED FOR EXPERIENCE ON 05/09/20.
I would very much not recommend this resturant while quarentined. We ordered food on Sat. 05/09/20 due to a 25% off on all orders and ended up waiting 2 hours in line for our food after being told it would take 20 minutes. Once we got our food, we left and brought it home and then realized we were missing the 2 most expensive portions of our meal. When we tried to call and see if we could pick up the last two entrees the company had switched it's phone line to an automated message explaining that they are not taking new orders. We drove back at around 8:15 to see if we could just ask, and the resturant closed already. After that, we went home to eat the food we actually got and it was just not great. Everything looked thrown together and was not nearly to what we would have expected on a 130 dollar meal. We tried to get through the resturant the next day they still had the phones linked to the automated message. On 5/11/20 we got through to one of the managers and was put on a 15 minute hold and then told that we would get a call back from them. We still haven't heard back from the company.

Usually I would say to support your favorite resturants through this time, but I will not be going back for a long time. Even if they reopen. It was the worst take out experience I have had in a very long time.

If you are interested in something actually good at this price range that has been consistent through the COVID 19 crisis go to Oak Oven, or anywhere else. Don't waste your money until they reopen.

This my first time eating at boulevard. I had a busy weekend with moving. My server Zack made a great ending to my busy weekend I hame the prime rib on bread and it was really good. My fiance had ribs and a baked potato. No complaints. We even got a cheese cake that the server chose and it was really good. I will definitely be coming back. If you eat at boulevard, ask for Zack. You won't be disappointed.

Food was very tasty. Service was excellent. The food overall came out accurately. There was one slight issue with temperature of one meal, but the server Bradford took care of it immediately. No other issues. The setting and atmosphere was approximate. I will definitely be back.

Ribeye dry and tuff, prime rib fatty and grizzle. We each had a loaded baked potato and a glass of lemonade. No bread, no salad and bill was 82.00 for the two of us, not even worth half that price. Very over priced for low quality meat. Don't go too expensive and bad food.

AMAZING CRAB CAKES!! At first I thought the crab cakes seemed a little steep in their price, but they are mostly (95-98%) crab meat, so to me definitely well worth the price, totally justified! These are amazing! They must be the best I have ever had or tied with the ones I had years ago at Malibu Beach Inn in California!! My best friend told me months ago that they were the most amazing crab cakes she ever had!

The wait staff was excellent, atmosphere nicely dim, and the hostess with the blonde ponytail today was a doll. Thank you!!

Thank you for a great evening. Oh and we had prime rib, crab cakes, spinach dip, salad, drinks from the bar. Not one complaint at all.

Everything was very good and portions are large! Only thing I might change is that food is served to fast! Slow down time between coarses!!!! Service very good and polite! Could be said to be a little pricey? Overall Enjoyable experience!

Let me start off by saying this place went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. My wife and I started off with a artichoke dip with fresh made salsa and tortilla chips. It was amazing mixture of cheeses and artichoke. My wife ordered the Cuban sandwich which had various meats on it. She was very pleased. I ordered the prime rib and it was fantastic!! Medium rare as it should be!! Taste was a sensory overload!. Only downside and very minor was I was asked how I wanted my prime rib? I kindly told him there is only one way to serve prime rib. He was quick to reply medium rare and that's what I got. Very sizeable portions and the price was reasonable. $71.00 for the 2 of us with a dinner time portions. Waiter was very attentive and proper. Well done sir!!

The food and service was outstanding. I had the filet and you could have cut it with a fork. The wife had salmon on the plank, she really raved about you. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I love this place. The menu is like it was when it was Houston's Restaurant. The grilled artichokes are a seasonal item and are excellent. Best to arrive just before the weekday lunch crowd so you don't have to wait for a table.

Hubby and I had dinner yesterday at the Blvd and was so disappointed at the food...We ate their many times in the pass and enjoyed the experience however this time the food was thrown together, wet lettuce, watery tomatoes, no taste vegetable burger, powdered lemonade that was extremely bitter and greasy fries that made your fingers greasy. I will no longer patronize the Blvd in Metairie, La

Atmosphere was very nice, the hostess were very accommodating. We ended up sitting at the bar, the bartenders were very nice and attentive. Food was delicious, I had the barbecue shrimp in a garlic and butter sauce.

I was very disappointed with the restaurant. I ate the Asian chicken meatballs, French dip sandwich and brownie for dessert. The meat balls and sandwich were incredibly bland, and I grew up in England so I have a PhD in bland food. The brownie had such a strong taste of coffee that I couldn't eat it. This is a personal gripe as I hate coffee, you may love it if you're a coffee drinker.
For the wife and I to share an appetizer, 2 entrees, a dessert and a few drinks was just under $100. I honestly felt like we'd have had a tastier meal across the street at Chili's, for half the price.
The restaurant and servers were excellent however, they just need a new chef.

The prices were really high for the quality of food. The crab cakes were full of crab meat but it tasted frozen. If it would have been fresh crab meat, it would have actually been really good. The best thing about this restaurant is the wine menu which is bigger than the food menu.

Good

Excellent service and food.

Excellent service and food.
Had the pleasure of meeting the new GM, Jerry.
He was doing great job watching the food as it was coming out of the kitchen to make sure it was the way it is supposed look before going to table. Great job Mr. GM.

Not what we expected.

Not what we expected.
Nice dining area. My husband ordered a salad with his food-waiter took it on himself to substitute his sides for salad. Prime rib taste wild and was not tender. Same for the filet. Oysters were good. Basically we paid 109. 00 for an appetizer. Disappointed to say the least. As Nice as the old houstons minus quality of food.
