This is a very friendly gym, but it is in need of updating as there equipment is old and quite a few dont work. The classes are very good and cater for various levels of fitness.

Great gym. Good equipment and no pressure. The staff are excellent and so friendly. Nothing is to much trouble. Love it.

Enjoyable social, clean in majority, overall the gym equipment just about ok.

It's not been great recently but I think things are improving... I couldn't recommend it at the moment but I think it's going to be better...

Lovely spa day. Good food and beauty treatments. Very well organised would go again.

NOT A NICE PLACE TO BE. the place has changed its like they no longer want the average person there. I'm 18 stone a bit chunky and that's what you go to a gym for but the new staff look down there nose at you if you do not fit to there NEW image they are trying to get i feel uncomfortable there now. its a shame because this place used to be such a great place. a lot of staff have changed and the whole atmosphere of the place has gone. I here there are new owners and a new manager really don't like what they are trying to do. gyms should be for normal people as well as fitness freaks don't push us out because we don't look the part.. on a plus side the pool is great and love the new sauna and steam room.

A beautiful setting for a spa and fitness centre. The Spa has recently in the past 5 / 6 months, which now gives the spa an out door garden with a heated jacuzzi. They offer all the new and IP coming treatments and face /body product to suit your personal needs.

First day of joining today. Lovely friendly environment. Great covid restrictions set in place.

Great gym..friendly staff..never too busy ..very good value compared to nearby gyms.The pool /sauna/steam room is very good.

Hotel is a dump. Damp in the rooms, rude staff. Always a mess with reservations :(

My rateing has gone down because we have lost a good Zumba teacher one of best we have had been a member since bodysense opened think way Zoe was treated was wrong not be same without her so very sad

This gym as slowly gone down hill. If it wasn't for the lovely staff it would be awful. The heating has now been broken for at least a month and it's been freezing . Shame.

On arrival and then reading some reviews my heart sank. I believed I was going to be in for a disappointing spa weekend.
But overall I was pleasantly surprised. It seems that the management have actually listened to what their customers have said and have taken action.
Spa
Facilities here are nothing to write home about here unfortunately. Its basically a swimming pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi on the side. They were having trouble with the boiler so the pool and jacuzzi were quite cold and unpleasant. The reception to the spa was also a little chilly and a bit unorganised. If you are looking for a pamper weekend that you would get at a spa resort then maybe this isn t the place for you.
The treatments that we had from the two therapists were outstanding however and deserve recognition. I would even consider coming back here on that alone. So well done to them. We had a facial and Indian head massage and then went on to have an additional pedicure because we did not want it to end!
Food
Hotel food was super. I cannot say how relieved I was. Being a foodie this was important to me. Past reviews suggest otherwise but I can honestly say the food is very very good. I guess its something that may have recently addressed.
Room
The room was very spacious. Some markings on the furniture and bedding were noted but overall me and my Spa partner were very happy. Modern bathroom with shower. Room 24. Would probably request the same room again if I was to visit.

Look out for Wendy in the restaurant. A quirky unique character as hard working as you will ever find a person, like a shire horse. Very good communicator and excellent customer service. Worth singling out.

Overall a very positive experience. Spa reception and facilities could have been better but other than that spot on.

Helpful staff if you need it, plenty of varied classes, some of the equipment a little tired but nice to be able to use equipment as it's never too busy. Nice pool, top sauna and steam room.

Having to use crutches at the moment as waiting for hip operation, staff were very friendly and helpful took crutches to side of pool, staff always keeping eye on me is all ok.

Reasonable membership fees, not too busy & modern well maintained & clean equipment.

Been a member for year's and enjoying every minute. Staff can't do enough to help.
