Vinh was great. He's calm and professional and has a very steady hand and demeanor. I recommend the place for being clean and pleasant, too.

I called to ask if they were open for piercings and got extreme attitude from the girl/receptionist who picked up saying No this is a pandemic!
Lost my business. A simple sorry not at the moment due to the Covid ordinance would have sufficed. Thank you for educating in me that we re in a pandemic, I hadn t noticed.

Stopped by after a friend recommended the shop; I left the shop today extremely happy. Absolutely will be back for my next tattoo very soon.

This shop is amazing, clean and professional. Dom is the diva to see! She is knowledgeable AND friendly! Dom explained each thing she was doing as we went along and made me feel comfortable during the entire Helix piercing experience! Dom knows what she's doing and my Helix piercing is healing wonderfully! I am going back and while I'm sure the other artists are great, I will only see my DIVA DOM! :-)

Brian is so sweet and knowledgeable. He may get tons of customers daily but he is patient and kind no matter what. Worth the price.

This place is incredible, I went there at first time and changed my tragus piercing it was easy and no pain. Everything they use there is sterilized and other stuff are used for you individually as first time so it's totally clean and safe. I went next time with my sister, we both pierced our ears and also was fantastic. Many thanks to Dee who did all the work.

This place is excellent for ear piercing people specialize in addition to that all tools sterilized and have excellent sterilization devices and also there are pieces used for the same person be new and then be disposed of. We thank DIY for her wonderful work

Very good experience there. Brian is good at what is doing : piercing. It was fast, clean and professional. Only good jewelry material (platinum is the minimum). I came to L.A. from Paris and I'm glad I could get an appointment. I strongly recommend him.

A legendary tattoo and piercing experience in the heart of LA. When you step into Body Electric, you know this place is gonna be good. Very clean and professional and really a magical spot looking down on Melrose.. Love this place and would highly recommend.

This place is different then any other tattoo / piercing salon out there. You feel the artists eye the moment you walk in, the space is magical and has such a special vibe. I was lucky enough to have had Brian Keith Thompson do a constellation piercing on me and let him choose how to design my ear... let me say I AM SO GLAD I DID. He was incredible, he has such a precision and customization. He got to know me and my style and he truly created something better then I could ever imagine. This space and the talent is worth every penny and truly elevates your look in such a custom unique way. I won t go anywhere else for piercings ever. Thanks so much Brian

I took my daughter here to get some work done. It was pricey but the work was nice. I would say for an old chollo like me it is not the place lol, but for a young person this place would be a good spot. Clean and very friendly people. Keep up the good work.

I think the environment was nice and clean space however the tattoos are over priced and since getting a tattoo here I ve had to cover it up and I honestly believe you can get better artwork done at another tattoo place for way less.

So far, I've had three piercings with Brian and about to go in for more. Clean shop. Excellent service and quality. Bonus, Brian is super cool. Recommended.

I got my nose pierced here recently and they were so nice!! It is a very clean and professions environment I recommend 100%

They gave me a price after doing my tattoos plus the shop minimum was $100 but apparently since my four stars were done in separate places it counts as 2 separate tattoos so I ended paying $200 for four quarter sized tattoos plus there unorganized they let 3 people go before me waiting for 2 hours even though they told me it was a 30 minute wait. I'm definitely trying other places.

Nice upper level shop. Great art but the prices are very high. Expect to pay around $350 for a 3" simple tatoo.

Wendy was super professional and made us feel at ease when we came in tonight. Heard about her from a friend and he was correct she truly is amazing, sweet, and we'll informed in what we did. I am super thankful and we will Def go back to her. Thank you Wendy we really appreciate it.

I got my septum piercing here. Dom was so welcoming and friendly. I would definitely come back for more piercings.

I took the ring back a few weeks later and another girl did the piercing by hand without clamps and she did it correctly and it's much better. It was excellent!

I am extremely happy with my experience. They fit me in last minute and were very helpful to make the scheduling work. The space was exceptionally clean and sanitary. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a piercing.

My boyfriend came was initially unsure about whether he would go-through with the tattoo, but the tattoo artist did a great job with the design, and my boyfriend was pleased with the tattoo afterwards. The staff did seem a little hurried at times for no apparent reason, albeit my boyfriend was indecisive and we entered the store somewhat near closing. I enjoyed being able to kick-back on the comfortable couches and look over the tattoo designs while I waited, but I was a disappointed that I wasn't allowed to be next to my boyfriend while he was getting the needle in him in order to support him. Maybe that's not a policy unique to this store? Look for the PlayBoy magazines in the men's restrooms. I laughed out loud.

Very nice people. Very accommodating for piercings and excellent tattoo work. Piercing is a bit pricey but it's quality hardware.

I got a septum piercing here. The first time the girl went through my cartilage and one of the sides of the Ring came off because I guess she didn't screw it on tight enough. when I took it out it closed immediately due to the cartilage being very tight. I took the ring back a few weeks later and another girl, Dom, did the piercing by hand without clamps and she did it correctly and it's much better. I highly recommend only seeing Dom for piercings. If she isn't available right away, wait for her. It will be worth your time!

Got my conch done here. Dom was amazing and everything was clean and sanitary. The piercing itself was quick and pretty painless; planning on coming back here to get my third lobes, forward helix, and my mid cartilage!

During my visit to Los Angeles, I decided to commemorate my time spent with a tattoo that I had been planning for quite some time. Believe it or not, I found out about this place through numerous Buzzfeed videos that had indirectly publicized the tattoo parlor. I though to myself "if it's good enough for Buzzfeed, it's good enough for me!" And my artist, Daniel, did not disappoint. Not only was he super knowledgeable and friendly, he did an absolutely AMAZING job on my tattoo. The next time I am in Los Angeles (and planning to get some ink work done), it will be with Body Electric!

The tattoo shop is very nice, I've been tattooed by Mariel, such an amazing girl, very professional and friendly at the same time. I recommend 100% that artist.

I luv James. He is a awesome piercer. He is calming, friendly, and very personable. He has alot of patience and knowledge of proper piercing placements according to your unique anatomy. He will not let u leave unhappy or dissatisfied. I been to many piercing shops and this one by far is the best I ever been to. Its clean, professional and sanitary which is my pet peeve being a nurse and even the restroom smells very nice...yes...the restroom smells unlike typical shops like it. I give Body Electric A++. The prices are more than others but not that much, but its so worth it in long run to be happy with what u paid for than unsatisfied. There are two piercers there but I will only go to James. He is definitely a asset to this shop.

I am very hard on reviews. For me to post a review, the company has either terrible service or oustanding service. The ones in the middle, I feel have done nothing in my eyes to rate a review and should try harder.

Which brings me to Body Electric tatto and piercing. I have been in several tattoo/piercing shops and found some that have caused me concern. I look at how the artist keeps their workstation cleaned and especially their supplies. At Body Electric, I found the suplies to be meticulously organized. This rates high for me, and tells me they have pride in their workspace. This pride relates to a clean environment. If the ink bottles are all facing forward or the neddles are facing the same way, this says a lot.

This takes me to the owner of the shop, Brian Kieth Thompson. I brought my wife there for her third piercing. Needless to say she was extremely nervous. Mr. Thompson was extremely professional at all times. He took pride in talking about all the options. This wasnt a production mill type of place..The amosphere was relaxing and the decor added to the artist style. But most of all was the personal attention Mr. Thompson provided to relax my wife for her piercings.

He followed up with strict instructions for aftercare and made her repeat them back to her. I identifed this type of instruction with the same you recieve in the military..tell them what to do, explain how to do it, then have them repeat it back so there is no confusion...so I wasnt suprised when he said he had served in the military. This also said a lot to me.

To provide an extremely sterile, well organized and relaxed atmospere added to the whole experience that will make us a client for life. If you have an oportunity to see the shop do so, and you will come to the same evaluation.

Took about 50mins of actual tattooing, cost 175, much better quality than I expected! Ask for Martin

Been wanting to make a trip out to this place for awhile and I'm really glad that I finally got the chance.

One of the artist I've wanted to get tattoed by for some time. Crazy talented and legit one of the nicest dudes you'll ever meet. I traveled from northern california for this and he absolutely killed the piece he did for me.

If you're into tattoo culture, you have to visit this place at least once. It's been home to some of the greatest artists of all time over the years and played a significant role in the so cal tattoo scene. But even if this is your first tattoo, this is the type of shop you want to go to. Professional, friendly and no egos.

Honestly, you can feel the history when you walk into this place and as soon as you start scanning the room, admiring the ridiculous amount of original flash on the walls, you'll quickly understand how special this place really is. And when you're sitting there getting quality work done, in the same room that the artist used to tattoo in, while listening to the guys swap stories of tattoo legends, you'll forget about anything else going on for awhile and just take in the moment.

Great tattoo artists, especially Mike for variety of styles. It's pretty pricey to get a tattoo there. Be prepared to pay $200 per hour. Appointments is a must since it's always busy.

I got a tattoo done here a few months ago! I've never been happier and Martin does an incredible job! They have a really cool, and clean parlor! Martin made sure I was comfortable and asked if I needed a break or not. Overall I'm really happy with my cherry blossom tattoo! I get so many compliments about my tattoo. I tell them exactly where to go if they want quality work like this!

I came home for leave from VA, and I got lucky enough to get an appointment before going back. When I explained that the appointment was on my last day here in CA, Mike was still willing to work with me. I showed some reference pictures to him and explained to him what I wanted. He made an impressive sketch that already had me excited, but the end results left me breathless. What was the most impressive thing about my experience here though is that he actually sat down and tatted me for 8 hours, with several short breaks in between. That takes a lot of focus, passion, and dedication. Everyone else here is pretty cool too. Cracking jokes about MILFs walking in, playing cool music, and occasionally complimenting on the work in progress. I think I might just get a tattoo here to hang out. For my first tattoo, I have no regrets at all. I've made so many friends and received many compliments on it. That's right, I get to hang out with the cool kids now.

Andrew is now completing another piece for me. As usual, he is consistently on time, prepared, and focused throughout the project. He asks for feedback and listens and acts upon it. Brian is such a professional, genuine and kind person. You know those people you meet and you know they re good people just from meeting them that one time? That is Brian. He made me feel like we had known each other for years. His tattoo shop was super cool, unique, clean and just had such a bad a** vibe to it. I felt extremely safe and welcomed. It s only been 2 days but I have been recommending him to everyone who asks about my piercings!! I love my piercings so much and even though I hate needles, Brian made it a breeze :) thanks again for such a lovely and one of a kind experience!

I am absolutely thrilled that I had the chance to have a piece done at this studio. Everyone was very professional and also incredibly friendly. The studio itself looks fantastic, and the artists are very professional and knowledgeable.

Came to Dan with an idea at around noon, we chatted for a bit and sussed out a design and he was able to see me by five the same day. It wasn't very detailed, but he was incredibly professional and helpful.

Me and my husband traveled here from Louisville ky to get pierced by Brian and needless to say we were not disappointed. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, definitely the best piercer I've been to. Highly recommend him. We also loved all of the jewelry options we had to choose from. Would not hesitate to make the trip again for future piercings.

I was very impressed with the quality and timing of the service. I came in as a walk in. I was greeted by the owner and spoke with Mike G about what I had in mind. He sketched exactly what I wanted. The wait was not long. I was in and out in about an hour. The staff was friendly and the environment was clean. I would definitely recommend this shop.

It was pricey but WELL worth it. They were very patient with me while stretching my ears and getting my first tattoo. They were clean and gave clear after-care instructions. Awz does great line work and he s got jokes, highly recommend. He cleaned up my own artwork and rolled with it.

My tattoo still looks amazing. Ink has not faded. Details look almost as amazing as they did when the tattoo was first done. (Basically, it looks pretty much the same as when it was new.) I am SO HAPPY I went with this man for my first tattoo!

The owner, Brian, is the coolest, most comfortable guy: the kind of person that makes everyone whom he speaks with feel like a close friend. We talked for a little while before and after I got my tattoo; great guy and a great place. My artist's name was Steven. He had a good eye, a light touch, and a steady hand. Loved the work he did, abd I would definitely go back for ky next tattoo. The parlor is clean, the artists are careful and sanitary, and the prices are reasonable.
