Scott and John are down to earth owners. There is nothing fake about them. The food is always great.

Their bagels, their omelettes (available later in the day), and their soups taste like heaven. And request the jalapeno lime cream cheese.

Can't beat the prices. I tried half a dozen bagels and loved all of them. I would drive to Charlottesville just for those bagels.

Amazing bagel sandwiches, quite possibly the best I've ever had. Why 4 stars? The soup was just average. Vegetables were very hard. Also the lines were long but moved quite fast you just had to keep an eye on the tables if you wanted to sit and eat because they full quickly. That said the person who took my order was basically encouraging me to take my order to go which I didn't like. He didn't ask for here or to go, he said point blank is this to go? Believe me when I say it was implied to take it to go. Other than that the sandwiches were well worth the visit.

I have been a lot of places and eaten a lot of bagels. These are the standard to which I hold all other bagels, and all have failed. My biggest regret in life is having moved away from Bodo's Bagels. I passed through Charlottesville and had to stop; they absolutely lived up to my childhood memories.

I love my bagels, but there have only been a few places that have done their bagels just right and Bodo's was one of them. They don't toast their bagels, they come out of the oven fresh and perfectly baked. This was the best bagel I've ever had!

The best part of being home in Charlottesville is bringing back a bag of bagels!!

Can't beat their bagel sandwiches. My favorite breakfast is the deli egg on an everything bagel. You don't even need to add anything to it . It has the meats and cheese.

Caesar salad is awesome and another favorite. Super delicious, extra garlicky dressing, so if your not a garlic fan, steer clear. If your like me though, yum yum! Great to pick up for a later lunch with dressing on the side.

Soups are also delicious. Not sure I've ever been disappointed.

And they have froyo and little brownie bites for desserts!

Lines can get long during 'rush' times, but move very quickly. They are super efficient!

This is the best bagel shop ever! Very inexpensive, nice wait staff and delicious bagels. Nothing to complain about :)

Best bagels in the world! I recommend the Everything Whole Wheat bagel with hummus, lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers.

Bodo s is always a treat when visiting Charlottesville.

I could go on for a while about about my decades long appreciation of Bodo's bagels, but I'll just say this, I've traveled the world a bit and Bodo's bagels are the best there are.

This place is wonderful. Charlottesville wouldn't be Charlottesville without Bodo's bagels..

Healthy, fresh food - bagel sandwiches, and salads. Inexpensive.

Stopped by last week for bagels and we were to line up in one of 2 lanes. Uncertain of how things worked, I was hoping the girl I drove up to would offer some guidance. Instead of cheery customer service, she was snarky, short and seemed rather annoyed. If you don't want to be selling bagels....get another job! Please review proper customer service with your people...wont be returning there again.

Best bagels outside of New York!! I grew up eating NY bagels. I've lived in several places over the years, but I have never had a bagel (outside of NY) as good as Bodo's!! The bagels are always fresh, chewy and delicious! They offer an extensive menu and their smoked salmon is great They offer homemade soup which is always great. The service is always wonderful, and quick. Often there is a line, but it goes very fast. On Saturdays and Sundays it can be hard to find an open table, but again turnover is quick. So, whether you're a local, or just visiting, stop at Bodo's for a fabulous bagel!

Bodo's is an absolute Charlottesville staple. Love stopping in and getting a bagel with swiss and egg.

Delicious bagels as close to NYC as you can get in Virginia. Plus, inexpensive, good service and quick.

I go to Bodo s about once a week. Food is great for an insanely low price. I only gave 4 stars because the trays of bagels sit underneath a filthy vent covered in fuzz. What can I say, does that seem gross, yes, are the bagels too addictively good to make it stop me from going there, also yes. I would be cool with a price increase if it meant some much needed building repairs and upgrades and also better wages for the staff.

overhyped bagels. sausage, egg, and cheese were all clearly mass produced garbage. bagel quality was good though. wanted to try the kalamata olive spread.

Delicious straightforward bagels and sandwiches! ( Bagels have toppings on both sides like a good bagel should) The deli-egg is like a mini omelette.

I am not from the North were bagels are king. I am a Southern girl. I love grits and sweet tea. This place makes my tummy and heart happy! The prices are excellent! The bagels are soft and chewy! My favorite usually is a cinnamon raisin bagel or plain. They have converted me! I am in love their Everything bagel! Sweet Baby Jesus it's everything and more!! The deli egg on everything is my new favorite!!!

Bodos bagels cannot be merely comprehended with words of the mouth, but taste buds of the tongue.

Cheap good bagels, with lots of variety. I usually get the Everything bagel with bacon egg and cheese, and it's excellent. The coffee is pretty bad though, always tastes like the beans have been burnt, so that their original flavor is destroyed. Good place for a quick bite.

Definite must if you are NOT local to Charlottesville! This place has been around for a few decades and is THE PLACE for fresh, in house kettled bagels. Don't be afraid of the line as it does move FAST. A line out the door is a typical sight, but you make it through the line in about 5 minutes.

Amazing bagels! Don't be scared of the lines on weekends because the line moves like a well-oiled machine. Whether you want to eat there or take it to go, I doubt you will be in line for more than ten minutes. A great place for a cheap yet filling and fresh meal since nothing on the menu is over $8. Definitely a tradition if you are in the Charlottesville area visiting

I stopped by today to get a caesar salad (delicious!) and on a whim decided to try their Chicken with Wild Rice Soup. Hands down the best Chicken with Wild Rice soup I've ever had, and definitely a top 5 soup of all time for me! No wonder it was sold out at noon - it is so, so good!

Bodos bagels is how you identify if someone is actually a Cville native. If I m in town for two days I ll eat 2-3 sandwiches.

This Bodo's STAY WRAPPED around the building...both lines. I think it's pretty dangerous how the line wraps around onto Preston Ave; which interferes with the traffic light and the flow of traffic. Despite of that issue, they get you through the line. Everyone loves Bodo's

Bodo's is a delicious bagel shop. They offer great breakfast options. Be sure to try the egg, sausage and cheese option on your favorite bagel. Ordering is a little hectic and there is a little wait for your food. Prices are reasonable and the flavors are worth it. There is a reason this is a well known location in Charlottesville.

awesome and cheap. only minor complaint I have is that (especially the one on Emmett) can be crazy busy and hard to get into at times.

I've been coming here for many years. A wonderful local spot for the best bagels and salads, great music and atmosphere. Great prices too.

I'm glad the bagel I got actually HAD a whole in the middle, unlike OTHER bagel places I've been too.

Hands down, the BEST BAGELS outside of NYC!
They make their own onsite and water boil them like NYC bagel companies are famous for. No matter how long the line, you won t have to wait long! The operation here is a well oiled machine ! They are very fast, so don t let a long line deter you! EVERYTHING we have tried has been awesome! LOVE their bagels! You will NOT be disappointed!

A Charlottesville staple. After hearing all the hype, I had to try out Bodo s. The bagels are prepared correctly (water-boiled I believe), and the lox was on point. I recommend it as a fast, easy, very reasonably priced breakfast option.
