Bodo's Bagels Review

One of the staples of Charlottesville. Great bagels. Great coffee. You can t complain about the lines as they move so quickly. Staff is wonderful. I tell all my out of town friends to come to bodos.

Always busy but always speedy! Don't think they've ever messed up my order. I'm a loyal customer.

What else can I say that so many others haven't already? This place is clearly a local legend and there was a line out the door when we arrived, but it was worth the wait without a doubt. We ordered a bagel each and they came out within minutes. Simply incredible bagels with perfect cream cheese.

People familiar with Charlottesville have known this for years, and visitors to it will soon learn, Bodo's is the Bomb.

Best bagels I've ever had and I've had a few bagels in my day. Quick service and lots of choices. Love the everything bagel and the olive cream cheese.

Bagels are delicious and you can get any sandwich customization that you can imagine. There has always been a decently long wait due to its popularity though.

Don't let the long line deter you. It moves fast and is worth the short wait.

Amazing bagels - lots of options for the bagels and spreads, plus great breakfast and other sandwiches. They might have other food too. I'm not sure how they cook them, but it's very different from Panera or other bagel places. The line gets long around 10 or 11, but it always moves pretty quickly.

The food is always great. However, this time there was a mistake with my order. Also, seating was limited and I had to sit at another person's table.

I wish I could review the bagels, but I can t, because my family was told to either line up on foot on a busy street to buy bagels or buy a car. Pretty sure lining walkers up in the drive-thru is actually illegal. What decade are we in? Bodo s Bagels won t safely accommodate anyone without a car.

It s the only place I can get my salt bagel! They are so nice there and all the food is good.

The bagels did not live up to the hype. They did not have much flavor and needed salt.

Bodos is a small local chain of bagel shops. It has good parking, and very nice seating. Even when they are very busy around lunch time, you don't have to worry about waiting to place your order. 3 cashiers, and a competent crew behind the scenes, get your food out to you in short order. When I need lunch in Charlottesville Virginia I definitely stop at Bodo's. Even if you are accustomed to having a lox and bagel at a northeast Jewish deli you will not be disappointed.

Looked like it over took an out of business McDonald's and thank goodness it did. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese and eggs with bacon on it. Absolutely heaven to eat.

One of my favorite places to eat. Good food and a nice upbeat atmosphere while still being able to relax and enjoy a meal. Their asparagus cream soup is amazing!

Bodo's is a wonderful place for breakfast or lunch. Breakfast bagels are served all day and never let the amount of people there fool you. This staff is FAST and can make a line of 20 look like a line of 2 in a matter of minutes. There's salads and healthy menu items for those looking to avoid the hearty amount of carbs as well.

Hands down the best place in Charlottesville to get a bagel. Get the pastrami on wheat - best ever.

Bodo's is home for so many people, and will be to you once you try something. Highly recommend the Ceaser Salad.

The place had a long line but it went quickly and we received our order fast.

Like it but way too much cream cheese. Buy a tub and put your own on. The selections were great, staff pushes you along to order during the breakfast rush.

Staff is awesome! Low prices, great service, and clean. Problem was not the business it was the customers. Too many a holes.

A blt with avocado spread every time I am in town for Court. Makes my day. Prices are below market, but the food is fresh and delicious! There s always a line and somewhat of a wait, and for good reason, there s really nothing else like it. Great place!

Best Bagels in C'ville (Maybe the World). I have been eating at Bodo's for many years, and I work downtown so the Bodo's on Preston Ave is close enough to work to eat there conveniently. The orders are always fresh and correct. They have a wide variety of bagels, cream cheeses, and condiments/toppings. If you want an everything bagel with sausage, egg, & cheddar, or a plain bagel with bacon, egg, & provolone, or a salt bagel with jalapeno & lime cream cheese (it's actually really good), they have it all. And even at rush hour breakfast time when there are 40 people in line you can be in and out in less than 10 minutes. If you haven't tried a bagel from Bodo's Bagels you must stop by you next trip to Charlottesville.

Decent bagels, pretty basic. The staff are nice and they re very quick to fill your order.

This place is a local gem. Amazing sandwiches, soups and salads for a very affordable price. Much better than fast food and about as quick, even their long lines are cut down quickly as it normally takes under five minutes to get your food. The chaser salad is garlic and amazing and my suggestion for a sandwich would be an everything bagel with tofu, cheddar, lettuce, onion and mayo. I'm sure you'll enjoy it to if you're around and in the mood for a healthy fast option for delicious food.

An old favorite and my favorite place for breakfast. Best bagels and spreads in town and super fast service! If you want cream cheese and lox, this is your place.

Long line on a Sunday morning but the jalapeno lime cream cheese was worth it!

This was probably my dad's favorite place to eat in Charlottesville (I'm pretty sure he went there every day). There are so many great options to choose from! Whether you're looking for a plain bagel, a nice soup or salad, or a make-your-own sandwich adventure (with so many possible toppings it's unreal), Bodo's is the place to go.
