Bodo's Bagels Review

I love bodo's they are quick and very good bagels also cheap.

Both drive thru lines were really long but I got through in less then 10 minutes

They say you can't replicate New York bagels outside of New York. Bodos is the closest you can come outside the City, and simply the best bagels in Virginia, period. Fantastic staff, great prices. They're regularly busy for a reason, and worth it.

THE BEST BAGELS in Virginia! Coming from New Jersey and growing up eating authentic bagels, bodos is the closest to those. Make sure you stop by for a dozen to go, delicious bagel sandwichs or with a schmear.

Awesome bagels. We stock up when we go. Great hummus too.

For those of you that are from out of town and don't understand a bagel sandwich I encourage you to give it a try. The bagels are soft and not chewy and make for a great sandwich regardless of substance. It is a must try in Cville and the prices are outstanding!

ALWAYS great and quick service and always serves fantastic food. Bodo's is very affordable and even with the long line, it moves fast.

9/20 they're doing a great job pivoting to only drive through. Lines can be long at peak hours, especially 11a-1p but they move pretty quickly. Audiobook usually keeps my kids happy (and more patient!)
Only complaint is that they no longer have tofu, which limits the vegan options.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!! Being from NY and living in DC/VA I have searched for a great bagel and Bodo s has it! Their fresh, doughy bagels are some of the best I have every had. They have a true deli menu with a great variety, fresh ingredients and great prices!!! Highly recommend this no frills bagel joint whether you are a foodie or just looking for something basic but done incredible well.

An old Cville standby for breakfast and lunch. Good food at a reasonable price.

I love the egg and cheese bagel sandwich with avocado and no-bull patty. Good coffee is a plus, as is impressively quick and friendly service.

Best bagels outside of New York. Insanely good prices. For non-gluten folk, there are a couple of good salads.

I have ordered an egg with cheddar on a plate with the cheese melted every day for a long time now and it has gotten progressively worse... I actually stopped ordering it for sometime but I was hungry this morning so I got it and it was absolutely disgusting! It looked like half the size of what it should be with half the amount of cheese, it was way over-cooked, dried-up and brown... But like I said I'm hungry this morning so I decided to actually taste it; it tasted like it was cooked in bacon grease and then there was a chunk of some unknown meat in it! Come on Bodo's, get it together please! There's nowhere else I would rather eat but this is just unacceptable!

A Cville staple. Be sure to follow them on Insta for great sandwich ideas. The bagels and soups are fantastic. The toppings are generous. If you go at lunch, prepare for a line, but they are efficient in rush times. A+

I was very disappointed in the quality of food that I received from Bodo's on May 26, 2020. I have been familiar with Bodo's since the original owners. Every time I am in town from DC I stop by Bodo's . The taste and texture of the food has really gone down. Changing the staple recipes of food is not always a good thing. They are striving hard to maintain organization during the pandemic and I commend them for their efforts in working the drive-thru. However if the quality of food is nasty what difference does being organized make. I was so disturbed over the taste of the turkey salad (chicken salad) and just the over quality of my meal. I will not be going here again when I come into town. I grew up here and believe in supporting home but for now on I will just stick to local shops in Maryland and DC....smh

A Charlottesville classic. Great local bagel chain serving fresh, NY Boiled-style bagels fresh all day. Hefty array of sandwiches, salads, and soups to choose from. Breakfast sandwiches served all day. Can get crowded in the morning and lunch but the line moves quickly and orders are filled promptly. In short: Delicious food that's not too expensive, with fast service, and it's local. You can't beat it!

Very efficient and quick service. Got the "no bull" and the eggs were well made and hot, veggie paddy was dry, bagel was delicious. Would go back, but know your order ahead of time.

Some of the best bagels I've had! Fresh, hot bagels and incredible service. Even when the line is out the door they're able to make it speed along. I've never had a bad experience. Every time we drive through Charlottesville we always stop at Bodos!

Bodo s holds true to a New York style bagel recipe and process and the result is excellence. They do the simple things very well - hot and fresh bagels, generous cream cheese portions, real blueberries in their spreads, thin sliced salmon, and super speedy service. They don t take online orders for a reason - they re insanely popular! Drive through service is also very fast and the line moves quickly. The quintessential breakfast stop for anyone - students and construction workers and business professionals.

Bodo's is a must visit in Charlottesville. Very good bagels (the best other than in Montreal) and the absolute best potato salad. The crew is excellent, consistent quality and efficency.

You would have to go to New York to find better bagels and even then its debatable.

Decent food at best, but not expensive at all so that's a plus.

Good breakfast bagel sandwich. The egg seemed freshly cooked and not microwaved. Ham was tasty. The line to order was long, but the cashiers kept things moving quickly, and politely. I'll be visiting again the next time I'm in the area and looking for a quick and inexpensive meal.

Great spot spot for breakfast that was super quick on our way out of town. Very busy which is understandable at breakfast time but food came out quickly. We went there on the recommendation that it was the greatest bagel out there so I was ready to have my mind blown. Coming from NYC and a husband who s spirit animal is a bagel, I wouldn t go as far as saying it was the best bagel I ve ever had. They were soft, light and tasty but not sure if it s No.1 . Of course that s my personal opinion but they were still delicious! One pet peeve was that my cheese was cold and hard and wasn t melted on my egg bagel.

A local favorite! Love how warm and fresh their bagels are. Can't go wrong here, I've tried their lox, breakfast sandwiches, plain bagels--all good! As a note, they do not toast your bagels, but they do serve it to you warm.

These bagels are amazing and they have a lot of different options! This location was drive through only but the staff took our orders very efficiently and even though there was a line, it moved quickly.

I'm pretty sure I come home for bodos (but don't tell my parents!) The bagels here are so fresh. I live in Boston now but can't find anything comparable. The bagels here are light and fluffy. The homemade cream cheese is delicious. And I love their lemonade. If you're in a cheese mood 3 cheese on a bagel is delicious! Probably not the most healthy meal but oh my cheese!

Every time I'm in Charlottesville, I need to make a stop at Bodo's for some bagels to bring home. Always fresh.

Super efficient and the best bagels I've had in Virginia. They cook them like they do in NY.

The line of cars to get in is super long, but it s definitely worth it. I never had better bagels.
