The service department needs constant 'babysitting' from the customer. I gave my car in, and had to follow up with the 'service rep' instead of hearing back from them. That's unacceptable; I asked several times to keep me in the loop about what is happening. For example, I was surprised find out that the car was just 'sitting there' for 4 days without being touched at one point. For an 'Autonation'-sized company, I should not have to micromanage my car's progress, and have to wait nearly 3 weeks to get a NOX sensor diagnosed and replaced.

Please be aware, this is my second experience with this dealership's service department that took longer than expected and I had to micro-manage the progress. So hopefully you have more time on your hands if you are going with them.

On a positive end, the transportation staff is very polite.

This took forever. How can it take from 11:50 am to 4:15 pm to buy a car for cash. I had already reserved the car on line agreed to the price. All I needed to do was test drive the car and pay cash for it.

Came in to check on a manufacturer recall on my 06 BMW. I asked about making an appointment but service department said if I wait 5 minutes they will see about getting me right away, and was. I was treated with dignity and respect. I ve tried other dealerships and can t say the same.

On the day I had to pick up my car, I waited 3 hours to see a finance manager who got me in a room and made it seem like I had to buy some expensive warranties. When I later found out that I didn't, he said he would only be able to cancel some of them and asked me to come back 2 weeks later to do some paper work. When I asked what time i should come, he said he wasn't sure. So I'm potentially looking at sitting at the dealership all day again till he has time to return some of my money. Be careful if you go here because they're trying to trip you up. Do not let them rush you into bad decisions because they will do their best to. I'm hoping to recover as much money as I can and then never deal with these thugs.

DO NOT GO to this place. They don't care about the customer at all. Terrible, terrible service. I think all the customer should sue this dealership and their service department. I would have given negative star if there is an option and please do not believe those good reviews. They mostly are not written by the customers. Based on my experience with this place, I am not recommending any one to buy a BMW. They ruined the BMW s reputation.

Very disappointed with the attitude of this dealership's service department. These guys are low on up-to-date product knowledge as well as problem-solving skills, but most importantly don't understand the concept of customer focus! Even when I took the time to write an email to the service department with my concerns, all I got was an apology and a list of reasons why things did not go as planned, which were all outside BMW Mountain View's circle of influence. In itself the reply was very factual and not too bad, but to say it meets my expectations of BMW is untrue! I would have expected a "mea culpa" and an initiative to take care of my concerns instead of referring me to BMW North America. I love my BMW and love the service I got at BMW San Francisco, which I would highly recommend over BMW Mountain View. I was just hoping to save myself the time of driving up to the city, but I guess it is well worth the ride!

I love the white x5 x35d from Mountain View dealer, especially appreciate the great service from Eric Peng. He helped me to fix a lot of issues since I just moved in Cupertino for only 1 month, not only on car purchase, but also some other problems.
I strongly recommend Eric Peng for you if you would like to get a BMW,he does not intend to earn much more from you, just help you to locate and find what you want and need, even after you finish the purchase, he also provide kinds of supports warmly.

I was very pleased with the service, time, accommodations, work and communications of BMW in Mountain View. They were very diligent and conscious of my time, money, and concerns during extensive work done on the car. They communicated with me while working to have BMW USA part of the process to help resolve problems and errors done at Stevens Creek BMW. I highly recommend and thank them for all their GREAT work.

Steve Pan is my sales advisor, he is very patient, easy to communicate, and super helpful in helping me to decide what car I should order.

Steve is also very good at calculations, he is always correct on my monthly payment after I emailed him many iterations of different car options. For people like me who is very often frustrated with sales person's poor math, Steve is your guy!

I gave BMW Mountain View a 5 stars for Steve's excellent service.

I got ripped off. They charged me 299.95$ for correcting the wheel alignment, where I could see an offer price of 200$. Even that is pretty high, when you could see a lower charge for the same task at other bay area BMW dealers.

UPD: My wife just bought a new BMW 328. She has finally switched from her Mercedes E350, because BMW won't go back when you stop on the hill (very important in SF!). And again BMW of Mountain View was great and thanks to Alec Kisin who sold us both cars.

I am satisfied 100%. Very professional and very focused and friendly personnel. In my case it was Alec Kisin sales consultant. Not over selling unnecessary features but bringing my attention to what i really needed to know. I am driving different models of BMW for 12+ years. I love the car. And finally i love the iDrive interface. I will by my next BMW at BMW of Mountain View.

This was no doubt one of my best service experiences at BMW Mt. View. My service advisor (Sean Sundland) is extremely professional, thorough, and knowledgeable ---very customer centric. He went the extra mile to ensure the best quote and services for all work done on my BMW.

Beware of service department overcharges.

Beware of service department overcharges.

If I could give a zero, I would. I'd recently done the 60,000 mile service from my trusted BMW mechanic in a different state, preparing it for my son to keep it. He made a visit to BMW Mountain View Service for a subsequent battery issue. The cost? Over $1,500 in extra charges to replace fluids and gaskets that had clearly just been done a couple months prior. What the...!! They claimed that they didn't "see" any history on my vehicle in THEIR computer so, therefore, insisted that all the work was necessary - taking advantage of my son's limited experience with that particular car.

Multiple attempts to call and resolve the overcharge with the service department and the GM have gone unanswered. They will not return my calls. If their mechanics are so experienced at what they do, wouldn't they have noticed clean fluids, new gaskets and such? More digging on their part for answers about the history of the vehicle would have been fair. Instead, they rip you off with bogus explanations about how their computer system is to blame. The only thing it needed was a new battery and an oil change!!!

Dealer service departments like this continue to prove that they are only interested running up your bill.

This centre turned out to be a hub of great choices to pick up a car from. Alec Kisin our liaison with the outlet helped us in all possible ways and more. Meticulously going through our various options, scheduling test drives , getting us the best deal and always there to answer any doubts or queries. So if you are a beginner in the world of driving and picking up your first car, I would highly recommend giving them a call and asking for Alec . My husband and I are very grateful for your services. It was a very pleasant experience. Special thanks to Yuri for imparting a comprehensive technical knowledge to a novice like myself, about what makes BMW the BMW, during the test drive. The whole process from walking into the outlet and driving out with our first car is a pleasant memory. Thanks BMW Mountain view team for making it so easy for us. Keep up the great work. Cheers !

This was the first time I have used BMW of Mountain View for service. In this case to handle an air-bag recall. No issues with the work, would give 5 stars for that. My issue is that they kept me waiting a long time when I brought the car in. The person who greeted me failed to inform the service agent that I had arrived for my appointment. Could've been better handled.

First, Alec Kisin is one of the best sales advisor of entire bay area BMW dealers. If you are going to BMW Mountain view for your next BMW then ask for Alec Kisin as your sales advisor.
In my experience of purchasing a vehicle there, He helped me to choose the best vehicle at no-haggle price and provided me the best service during entire process of purchase. I rate him 10 out of 10.
Thanks Alec for your outstanding support.

I couldn t have more great things to say about my experience with BMW of Mountain View and in particular, my sales rep Gaurav G who helped me get the car of my dreams. No shady sleezy sales tactics and unnecessary credit applications, just genuine and authentic care for the customer s happiness.

My brother and I came in on a Thursday afternoon without an appointment (I was supposed to come on Saturday but decided to swing by after work) and even tho G had another appointment, he went out of his way to take care of us.

The car buying process is always long but the MV team made it enjoyable and fun (we had been sitting so long towards the end of the night that I even got everyone to do push-ups with me to help us break the script ). From G s help of getting the cars I had requested, to all the paperwork and financing with Raphael, I couldn t have asked for a better experience.

10/10 Would Recommend 100x over!

I had to wait more than 20 minutes before the person I had an appointment with actually showed up. What's the point of having an appointment if you still have to wait more than a few minutes? The actual service rep was friendly and apologized for being late, which would have been fine except for the rest of my experience.
There was another wait of 15 minutes while the sole person at the loaner counter worked their way through a line of people waiting for cars. Maybe they need to have more staff on hand when they know they have a larger number of appointments? After waiting for the loaner, I was told the only car they had only had 12 miles of gas in it. I could wait longer while they went to fill it up. I wasn't going to wait around that long, so just decided to fill it up myself.
When I came back to pick up my car, there was another 20-30 minute wait while the single cashier helped check out a long line of people who were also picking up cars. After paying again waited for a while while my car was brought around.
Overall everyone I interacted with was nice, and apologized for the wait. But it took an hour to drop my car off, and another hour to pick it up. If BMW knows they are going to be busy, maybe have more staff on hand to reduce wait times? There were plenty of other employees hanging around doing nothing while customers were stuck in a long line with just one person helping. Maybe have those guys jump in and help with the register/bringing cars around?

I was introduced to Zari at BMW of Mountain View by a coworker after having a bad experience while shopping at Audi Stevens Creek where the salesman was not very interested in letting me drive a new TTS. She treated me very well and very fairly. We ordered my M2 from the factory and it arrived this week after months of waiting. The team was incredibly helpful through the entire process, I was given a fair value on my trade-in, and I am obsessed with my new car.

Much thanks to Zari and the BMW of Mountain View team!

I took my car for regular service for the first ti...

I took my car for regular service for the first time at Mountain View. Explained to the advisor, John Roy what I wanted and if he could please inspect the front left tire since it s been losing air and I get the low tire pressure light every so often. He proceeded to tell me, like I didn t know anything about cars, that sometimes that happens to the front tires. Instead of debating this I just asked again to please check it. He agreed. I get a message about midday my car is ready. When I picked it up, the front desk person, one wasn t too nice, two she makes me wait and then asked me if I wanted my car washed, which I expressed to the advisor when I dropped it off, they washed it and it looks like they just ran a hose through it and lastly to top it off as I drove away the low tire pressure light came on!!! I went back and the front desk called someone to put air in the tires, some guy asked me to drive it to the service area and he proceeds to tell me oh maybe they didn t reset it! He checks the tire pressure on all the tires and puts air in the front left tire. He instructs me to reset the tire pressure monitor so it doesn t happen again. This is the kicker I drive it the next day and when I parked it on a hill and turn the tires I notice there is a nail on the front left tire. I call and ask to speak with the manager and I am still waiting for a call back. I apologize for the long rant which trust me I almost never do but this is standard stuff! Also if you work for a service industry please make sure that you provide good service or at least strive to. And don t treat your customers in a patronizing manner like we don t know anything about cars. Now I m waiting for a call back and have to take time off work to bring the car back. Thanks for letting me vent and I hope I get this resolved!

I did a tire replacement in the shop and specifically asked the guy-Daniel to save my tire (which is already well patched, just for safety reason I chose to replace) in my trunk. When I picked up the car on Thursday, the tire was not there and I asked the front desk to call him and he promised to send me the tire by a driver to my place. Ok, fine. Friday, I was waiting for the call, since my lab has weak signal, and I had to step out every now and then to see if I had a missing call. Nothing happened. I drove to the shop to see him and he gave me a rude answer: "we cannot find it now and we can offer you some cleaning next time..." WTH

I told to his manager, forgot his name already. Then Daniel showed up again and promised again to give me a call on "Next" Monday (which is yesterday) and delivery, blabla. I said "please dont forget!"...

OK, today is Tuesday and shop is closed now. I heard nothing back from him. I am not sure why this place can have 4.4 star rating, unbelievable!! I guess, I will have someone from this place and give me a number to call, just like other people who gave 1 star, but I dont like to call anyone. Just give my tire back!! I like to save 0 star if I can.

-------------------------------------------
Finally, I got it today, which is 5 days later.

This is a 5 star review for Greg McKenna at BMW Mountain View. Greg was extremely responsive over email and helped me test drive a CPO i3 REx twice. He followed through over email, letting me know when vehicles with more of the features I was interested in became available. Always informative, never pushy.

I would happily have purchased from Greg, and may well do so in the future. This time around, a very helpful colleague found the i3 I did buy from her hotel room in southern CA, and I ended up having the vehicle shipped.

If you're thinking about a BMW, I'd suggest making an appointment with Greg, and trying out a few BMWs!

These guys (and gals) are amazing. From the time I made initial contact with Abdul Hamid about a car my wife spotted at the dealership... to the time we drove off the lot (process started on a Sunday morning, from 250 miles away, to the time my wife drove off the lot at 9:00pm grinning ear to ear behind the wheel of her BMW X5), we got nothing but EXCELLENT service. Abdul even went out at the rain to have a Face Time chat with me to show me the car inside and out.
I hate the process of buying a new car, and BMW of Mountain View made it one of the simplest transactions ever.
These guys are real PROS... and I would highly reccomend them for excellent customer service, honesty, and attention to detail.
BRAVO Abdul and everyone at BMW of Mountain View.
Thanks,

You want to buy a car? Come here. They will do whatever they can to make you happy and find you the best car for your needs.

After having a ton of trouble with other dealerships trying to get financing, BMW Mountain View helped me out. They were the only ones willing to take the time and effort necessary to make the sale. And the 335i convertible they sold me is fantastic.

When I walked into the showroom of BMW of Mountain...

When I walked into the showroom of BMW of Mountain View to get information about the upcoming Z4 and the European Delivery program, I was fortunate to meet Bahman Farzan. He answered all my questions, explained the details of European delivery and gave my pricing and options information that was not yet available on the BMW website at the time. This was a very different experience than my previous encounters with car sales people.
When I decided to order the car a few months later, Bahman guided me through the process, never pushy in any way, making things as easy as they can be.
Meanwhile, I have picked up the car in Germany, driven it for our vacation, dropped it off and am now waiting for it to arrive in the States.
So far, the car has met my expectations, and BMW of Mountain View and Bahman in particular have far exceeded them.

Had to go inside to make another appointment for a different day. Pretty annoying and totally unacceptable. Dishonest service department.

Dishonest service department.
Got an offer from them for a courtesy inspection: check all the hoses, fluids and complementary car wash. Came there in the morning. "Advisor" took me inside and after a minute absence suggested $3,500 of repairs and some optional services. Based on the 2 minute "inspection" the suggestion seems questionable to me. The car was already brought back as dirty as before.

The place is absolutely dishonest. If this is the way potential customers they wish to attract are treated I only feel sorry for the existing customers.
Update: I called dealership and left a message to service dept GM. Was told that he will call right back. Week days later nobody called. Looks like they send formal response without a genuine desire to resolve the problem.

I walked in wanting to see an X5 with an optional third row. I was told the car is rare, yet BMW Mountain View had 3 in stock. I test drove a fully loaded XDrive 40i and promptly fell in love. Note that I was highly leaning towards a Highlander so the decision was between a sensible car or a fun car with a $20K+ difference. My husband urged me to treat myself to something fun. So here I am. With a great car and slight buyer s remorse but definitely loving the car.

It was a seamless transition from another luxury brand to BMW with the help of BMW Mountain View. I am very satisfied with the service provided by them. The best part of their effort to make the customer happy and satisfied with the purchase, and not just tried to push the sale without understanding the requirement. I would like to take this opportunity to thank few folks out there from the main POC Dio(Sales Associate), Vince(Finance) and the PJ(the GM) himself had been a great part of this experience. My husband and I received amazing service from Audrey and Michael at BMW of Mountain View. Audrey was attentive and spent a lot of time with us explaining the features of the car we bought- she definitely knew her stuff!

Throughout our decision making process we never felt rushed or pushed or harassed like at other car dealerships. They were always responsive via email and phone when we had questions.

When we had a longer than expected wait time for our car, they took care of us and made sure we were not inconvenienced in any way. They more than met our expectations in terms of customer care.

I highly recommend going to this BMW dealership and to work with Audrey and Michael. Even if you don't come away buying a car, at least you will have had a very pleasant experience while searching for your next car.

I was disappointed this time in that I was not notified when my car was ready for pick-up. I dropped off my car at 7:30 am. I finally got tired of waiting for a call back, so I called them ~4:15pm and was told my car was ready for pick up. I arrived ~4:30pm and it took a 1/2 hour to get my car because they couldn't find the key. By the time I left the dealership it was 5:00pm and traffic on Hwy 85, my route home, was horrible. All this just for an oil change that should have taken no more than 30 min.

Purchasing-only review: This was the 2nd BMW dealer my husband and I went to today. The first in Stevens Creek was huge, disorganized, and difficult to navigate. So we came here and immediately saw a vehicle we wanted to lease. The value was amazing, including additional discounts - crazy! Our sales rep was Tawar, who is clearly very knowlegable and savvy about BMWs and the world in general (yep). Tawar has a great personality, tells awesome stories, and provides excellent service and overall customer experience. That was probably all part of the sales strategy but we still appreciated it.

PS: You can also have bottled water and Starbucks coffee as you go through the whole paperwork process. It takes a while so be ready.
