Worked there a few times in the past as a welder . It s not the worst place to work but light years away from good. Whoever s in charge of setting pay rate is really holding them back from attracting and keeping good people. Take a look around the shop, 90% of the guys there are ready to retire. This company is only good for if you desperately need something to get by on until you find something else.

Do not work for this company. I was fired due to a racist supervisor that works there. Robert of Gencor Industries went above and beyond to have me fired for not informing him that I went to the rest room. He told HR that I was failing to follow policies. All false alligations of this supervisor. I attempted to explain my side of the story to HR and the failed to investigate and properly handle this situation. They decided to keep there racist supervisor and to get rid of me with no proper write ups or documentation. Please if you value what you do and how your work ethic is do not work for this company.

I work nightshift and enjoy working with the guys and my supervisor is a really decent guy. Has cut me some serious breaks. Always been in my corner and really looks out for the guys.

Filthy, dangerous, and disgusting. If you're a welder DO. NOT. WORK. HERE. Gencor does not care about the employees. Not only is it right next to a smelly garbage plant baking in the hot Florida sun, but look at the state of the restrooms their employees are forced to use. The shop floors look like they ve never been swept and every day you will leave with lungs full of dust and a pack of cigs because they allow people to chain smoke on the shop floor. I ve been a welder for almost 10 years and this is by far the worst job I e ever had.
