Ok, the wine was good (Pizza was OK) and winery scenic, but service is lacking. Waiting over 30 minutes to get my glass of wine and longer for pizza (people who came after me were getting served). If was later in the day on a cool December Saturday, so not very busy. Definitely, need to improve in this area
My wife and I where in the area for a few days to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Visited a few wineries. Blues Sky was saved as our lunch when we headed home. What an amazing place. Tasted 8 wines before our meal. Each wine was it's own experience.
Beautiful area + fabulous wine = perfect ending to a great get away.
We love Bluesky Vineyards. Excellent wine selections, delicious food, and wonderful staff. They have live music over the weekends with amazing entertainment.
This winery definitely has one of the worst mannered employee I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She was rude and downright hateful. I know losing a customer isn't a big deal to them but, I'll spend my money somewhere else.
Blue Sky Vineyard and Winery is a peaceful and scenic atmosphere to just take in the beauty or to have a wedding ceremony. I am a traveling Officiant and this is one of my favorite venues.
First of all, place looks beautiful. It has a beautiful outside on a lake. Food smelled delicious as we walked up.
However, too commercial for my taste. Our pourer looked uninterested and just wanted us to move out of the way. We prefer smaller wineries where the owner/wine pourer can recommend wine and tell us about their wines.
This is not a fault of the Winery, however was not ideal as their was a SIU graduation party going on.
Wine was okay. We felt rushed so left after our wine samples.
The place is beautiful. Its a bit away from any city or town but not too far. 15 min or so outside of Carbondale Il. Plenty of space for social distancing, good wine and sangria even a good selection of beer. Snacks are available but a bit costly. You can bring your own. They even have grills available to cook your own food. Tables and chairs under large umbrellas for shade
Free live music as well. Great place for a weekend outing.
The wines were excellent and we enjoyed the food on the patio. Staff was very friendly. We had a great time!

I attended an awards gala for a fraternity on campus that I am a part at SIUC. The staff was polite extremely helpful and made the night extremely nice. The wine selection was excellent and I would highly recommend using Blue Sky for events or a nice weekend out in Southern Illinois!
