We had lunch here as part of a tour. The food was very nice and they served alcohol. The hotel itself is amazing. It's grand, peaceful, exquisitely decorated and I would imagine amazing to stay there. The views on all sides are phenomenal and on a clear day we were told you can see the snow caps peaks of the atlas mountains.

HIGHLY recommended this hotel! The views are stunning and the rooms were awesome. We went on a day hike and it was amazing. We also went to the their traditional Hamman. It wasn't the best spa experience but the surroundings made up for it.

The place itself was beautiful with a stunning view. But that s about it.

Then there was a number of issues with the place;
1. ROOM
Had no wifi, even with a internet box they gave us the internet was not working, I couldn t get any work done.
No phone, in case of an emergency or if you need anything you have to go all the way to the reception.
I couldn t sleep well, because there was a strong stench coming from the fire place it filled the whole room, I was constantly coughing.

2. FOOD
Very limited menu, there is no choices for ala carte. Only the food they provide at their own stipulated timings, so if you were hungry between meal times you have no food available.
The quality of food was not great, my wife is Moroccan, and coming from her the food is sub-par. She had a stomach ache.
Quality of food was not worth the price you are paying for.

CONCLUSION
The place is over priced from rooms to food & service. I would recommend those who want to go to bring your own snacks and food. You ll thank me later!
A place with lots of potential, but stops short of effort.

Great room with an amazing view of the mountains to the east. Room was noisy after dinner due to being located above the kitchen but would quiet down around 10:00pm. Heated bathroom floor was huge pleasant surprise! We loved our full size balcony with two chaises to lounge on. The grounds at Bab Ourika are a tourist destination on their own, we enjoyed walking around and sitting in the various seating areas. Really good food which we enjoyed three times a day! Arranged for a driver to do some tourist exploring which resulted in us buying some rugs and other treasures.

Highly recommended hotel. Just 1 hour from Marrakech, you'll find a really tranquil hotel, with amazing views, great staff, big rooms and great food (and wine). Would love to go back to this place
