I've not had good food here the past 3 times I've been. Our waitress was rude when my food was sent back and I was charged $7.50 for the tiny bit of side salad I did eat. I won't be back.

Had a nice time, the blue monkey burger was good. Waitress a very friendly and took good care of our table. Unfortunately the owner wasnt very polite or friendly, he Grabbed our Bill from our table abruptly only a few seconds after it was placed on our table. We just had enough time to remove the 3 pieces of chocolate that were on it. We didnt even know the guy worked at the place, seemed like it was a snatch and grab attempt to get the money/credit card at first.. Still would go back for the food and service.

I have to admit the owner sort of rubbed me the wrong way , could be I had to look for a seat at the bar because his bills were scattered about - maybe just me but not the type you want interacting with patrons. Food good and waitresses were all friendly and accommodating.

First time here, was very excited to go. Beer list looked great, menu was nothing impressive but enough selections to have a decent meal, or so was thought. My wife, who is a vegetarian, ordered a Veggie Panini. She took a few bites and realized something was off. She was given a Salmon Panini instead of a Vegetarian Panini. 16 years she's been a dedicated vegetarian and this brought her to tears, she had to leave before we could really address it. A lame apology came, which we would have accepted, but the bill and meal was still charged, except for the Panini which was wrong and not eaten anyway. We paid $30 to have our night ruined and have my wife's beliefs and way of life trashed with basically little accountability. I won't set foot and don't recommend anyone set foot anywhere near here. It's not worth it for lackluster food and there are plenty of places that sell good beer with clearer lines. Seriously, seriously disappointed.

I don't know if it was the day, or the weather, but the customer service was horrendous. It was my first experience with this restaurant and the lady on the phone was just rude and condescending for no reason at all. I called to get a status update on an order and got an attitude as if I disrespected her. If she hates being well-mannered, she shouldn't be in a hospitality/restaurant business. I doubt I'd ever give them a penny my money, no matter how good their food is. I'll go elsewhere, unless they wow me somehow.

The burger was a top 3 burger I have ever eaten. It was absolutely mouth watering and the service was outstanding. This place is fantastic great vibe. I am a total food officinado traveled the world and this was a memorable experience.

It was good. Very busy restaurant but not busy enough that there was any wait. We had a nice private high top in the corner which I liked. The drinks were yummy. The salad was very good but lacking dressing. Was almost done before more came. The shrimp app was ok, the steak my date had was cooked perfectly as well as my dish. All in all it was pretty good, fresh and cooked extremely well. The sauce seemed to be consistent through out the dishes and very similar if not the same (gets old quick). The mashed potatoes were yummy. For two drinks a piece, two entrees an app a salad and 1 desert was about 115 bucks so would have much preferred to splurge at farm and fisherman tavern however is was very local & will definitely be back.

Just heard from a friend who was there last night 12/22/17 she said it was the worst experience she has ever had. The help was ignorant and rude including the Boss! Will definitely pass her experience on!!!

Great food, large wine/alcohol/craft beers menu, & friendly service!
A little high-priced for many of the items, but gotta be willing to take the bitter with the sweet, right? The very friendly, relaxed ambiance compensates for the slightly higher-priced items; most booths & tables provide a nice feeling of privacy for your group. You're never "rushed" unless "closing time" draws near! Our intimate group of five very close (& occasionally raucous) friends spent several hours ordering dinner & drinks, with very relaxed & friendly service throughout! Just be kind & thoughtful in return: over-tip your server! We all highly recommend!

Can't believe we didn't try this place sooner! The beer mussels were some of the best I've ever had. The Blue Monkey burger was delicious. The draft beer menu is very vast. This will will be my new go to for mussels! Gotta go back and try something else after this first amazing visit. The wait staff was really attentive and efficient without being annoying. Worth a visit.

Paige was very attentive and quick. Thanks for your hard work and help! Great service. Neat restaurant in renovated 1800s building, nice ambiance, good food, extensive drink menu, reasonable prices. I really enjoyed the $11 red mussels in basil tomato marinara, $11 white mussels in garlic white wine, and $10 Blue Monkey burger with blue cheese and portobello mushroom.

Great beer and good food what else could you ask for. I don't get the negative reviews especially about the owner, although at times he may seem to some as a little surly he's actually a pretty nice guy when you get to know him. My wife and I have a bit of a drive to get to the monkey, we go about once a month, and its always worth the drive.

Owner is incredibly rude to customers and staff too. A request for a taste of beer will make you wait for several minutes before you are served. I saw the owner bullying one of the bartenders who was then very upset and unpleasant to the customers. I guess I can't blame her...
The food isn't bad but not great. The owner claims to have a lot of beer but really doesn't and the few times I've been there he didn't have any of the better beers on tap. Many other near by places are much better.

Our new favorite place! We ve eaten there several times and absolutely love it. Many delicious varieties of food to choose from! It s hard to have a favorite meal. The staff is always friendly, helpful, efficient and professional.
Tip: Be sure to have reservations if going on a Saturday Evening.
*Our only complaint would be street parking.

Food nothing to rave about at all. The dinners tasted like they were precooked & not made fresh and the vegetables were canned. The big thing was the service & their drink prices. We questioned a price on the bill in regards to a drink one of our party had and the manager was not only rude and obnoxious he tried to claim the drink contained 4 oz of alcohol. He chided our guest for even questioning the bill and when she expressed her displeasure- he said "Good. Don't come back" guess what we wont be. I highly recommend to stay way from the establishment. Menu is pricy, Drinks you are definitely overly expensive & you do not get what they claim & to top it off extremely rude service to as well. You can get a better meal in a diner.

Non attentive and Caesar salad was drowned in a concoction that had way too much Dijon. By the time I was done with my soup, the lettuce was wilted. When I finally got the attention of one of the bartenders (who happened to be the owner), he just rudely said to send it back next time. A big disappointment tonight considering last winter the grilled chicken Caesar was my favorite. And now that I know how the owner treats his patrons I will never step foot in this tavern again or recommend it to anyone.

Never had a bad meal here! The burgers are exceptional...the cheese steak was better than anything in South Jersey (it's all about the bread). The beer selection...so much to choose from!!!

I've been back 4x since my first visit, so it's safe to say it's a winner!

I got the tortellini ala nonna, which was enough for three meals. My husband got the special lamb with homemade mashed and green beans. It was busy so we ate at the bar. The bartenders and food carriers were very attentive. There was a bus boy that really impressed me. He was very heads up with turning over tables, cleaning up other staff messes, polite to customers. Really a great young man!

Overpriced, terrible parking and very long waits. 1 hour for an a appetizer is unacceptable. Calamari was inedible and we couldn't even order dinner because of the wait. Date night ruined! We'll try somewhere else next month. I'll give them 2 stars because the waitress was nice and my leftovers will go to the dog.

Been there roughly 6 times in the past few years. Food is average to good, service can be good to shaky. Not too impressed personally nor will we return. At times we have had great food, other times just blah. Last night we had ribs that tasted like they were a week old, chicken parm that was good, the crab meat and spinach dip was blah, but the kicker was the hostesses. They acted to our party, that they were us a favor seating us and REALLY dressed like they should not be working there. Really, clean that up as they are hurting your business bad with words and actions. We walked in happy and jolly, and walked out not too happy. My guests have heard good things and I know they will not be back and we talked about it as it unfolded which was kind of sad. We rated the place on a 1-5 with 4 people and we all gave the restaurant a 3. Waitress was friendly, but not to attentive either. Too many choices to go back, not bashing the place, but also not praising it either and hence 3 stars.

This place is great. I've been here plenty of times and haven't had something that I don't like on their menu. They have the best selection of beer around too, hands down. A few days ago, I went for happy hour with work friends. The place was packed and we still got prompt friendly service. Appetizers and beers were ordered and received within reasonable time. It seems like the owner is almost always present talking to various customers and ensuring an enjoyable experience.

This place is an awesome place to eat, the food is excellent and the drinks are just as great. I went here on Valentines Day thinking that I wasn't going to be able to be seated because it was Valentine's Day and I didn't have a reservation. Oh did I tell you we had our twin 6 month old at the time and 7 year old. We felt really bad because couples started coming in but by the time they got their drinks we were heading out. The chef personally brought our food to the table and it was delicious. We definitely will eat here again!
