BCBS of RI is running a scam and defrauding hardworking people. Do not use them if you can avoid it! There is hidden information about limitations to your benefits that they do not tell consumers - it is nowhere on their website, their app, and they don't share it when you call them. It is only after you paid thousands of dollars that you reveal to you why they cannot cover your costs. This is the definition of fraud. Shame on you!

It's a battle to get them to pay for anything! Every procedure every drug is denied in the hopes that either you will go into debt trying to pay for it yourself or do without. They are criminal and will only pay for the most remedial cheapest healthcare and drugs. I would say they should be ashamed but they have none.

Website is useless, app is useless. You are not able to get any information on costs, doctors In network... This health insurance is useless. You have to spend so much of your own time trying to figure out what is covered and not and you still can not get the Information on what you need. Honestly how are they in business? I have called 6 times to get a claim processed and it is still not processed. and just went to delinquent status because of their inability to solve a service that is 100% covered. I am not able to have my required blood work performed before this claim is paid. Ridiculous! I had United Health before This and it was absolutely phenomenal. I never had to call once. United health has a fantastic website and app that gives you all the information that you need. Never once had to call on a claim or anything. Knock it off and Get you act together Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island.

I have nothing negative to say about BCBS of Rhode Island. Last Friday, I tried to make a payment at the Blue Store. They told me they didn't take payments at the Blue Store to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. They advised me to send a check and they will notate the account so I wouldn't get my services cut (because the 1st was on Sunday). Today is Wednesday. They called me to let me know they received the payment and asked if they could further assist me. Top-notch service. Never any billing issues. I pay top-dollar. You get what you pay for.

I have to say, I am thoroughly shocked by these reviews. My experience has been really good. My doctors have no problem getting anything approved, all my doctors and my pharmacy accept the plan, I have had 2 issues with being billed by the doctor, and they contacted the doctors office and fixed that. I have $8000 treatments every 8 weeks, and they approved them quickly and always paid on them. I was in the hospital twice, and they covered everything. The only complaint I have is their website/app. Not only is it set up badly, but I haven't been able to get on in weeks. It won't accept my login info and I try to re-register, and it doesn't recognize me. I think they updated it, because I couldn'd see most of my claims, and they said they were working on the problem, and now I can't get on at all. But I can't diss the coverage. It has been excellent for me.

The web site is useless. The customer service reps are uninformed and incompetent. The coverage is useless. The management consists of morons. No one there knows what they're doing! It must be great operating in a state where you have no real competition. You can screw people over, provide third-rate service, and basically say, "you have no choice but to deal with us." I wish I could move to a state where my $600 per month could actually buy me some good medical coverage!

Web Portal is actually completely broken. I would get into detail...but quite literally every feature I've used does not work. Customer service is no help, will lead you around in circles. Billing is a joke they will not accept payment, imagine that a company who can't figure out how to get paid. Expect nothing, Get Less. Kim A. Keck, Michele Lederberg, FIX IT!!!
