What a fun place to visit! Gift shop with many Blue Bell items to choose from. The Observation Deck was closed for maintenance, but the Visitors Center had a great video. They have flavors that are not sold in local stores. While we were there, they served HUGE free samples of their Black Cherry which was delicious!! If ever in Brenham, this is a MUST! Their website has information about the history of the creamery. Such a fun experience!!

Always a joy! In Texas we love our Blue Bell. If you haven't visited Brenham, Texas put it and The Bluebell Creamery on your bucket list. It is old fashioned wholesome goodness. It is privately owned and they put a little Texas love in every bucket and visiting a real creamery is special. When we arrived, the parking lot was full. You can go upstairs and $1 you can get a big old scoop of your choice. There isn't a bad choice in the bunch. Really that scoop is bigger than just one. Call for tour hours!

Ever wondered how that tub of Bluebell Ice Cream makes it to you? This is the place to go. The tour is reasonably priced and includes a scoop of Blue Bell at the end. The ice cream parlor has many flavors to choose from and at $1 a scoop you can afford to really eat your fill, if you are so inclined. The down side. They only have tours Monday through Friday.

BlueBell creameries is one of those significant attractions along 290 that has become as one may deem a mandatory stop just as Buc-ees is for gas. The staff is friendly and there is even a baseball hall of fame museum. they have flavors not available in store which is really neat.

Sorry, but I just wasn't impressed. The tour hours and days are ridiculously limited, so I never got a tour when I was there on a Saturday. NO WEEKEND TOURS, folks. Seriously, how can you not have tours on your two busiest days of the week?? So, if you work a typical M-F job, Blue Bell's factory doesn't cater to you. If you're lucky enough to get there during a designated tour time, you get a free cup of ice cream for your trouble. Otherwise, you pay an outrageous price for a cup. Also, I bought a cup of Cake Batter ice cream at a bbq restaurant in Elgin a few years ago, and it was delicious, tasting like yellow cake batter. Months later, when Blue Bell finally introduced Cake Batter ice cream to stores, it was white cake-batter flavored instead of yellow cake batter. Why the change, idiots? The yellow tastes much better. I'll stick to buying Blue Bell ice cream at my local H-E-B, but certainly not the Cake Batter flavor.

Its absolutely free and only costs 1.00 for an icecream after. Its not very big so really takes no time at all to visit. You can also see how the icecream is made from the observations deck. No pictures are allowed though from the deck, as you can imagine. Lots about the history and great place to visit if you are just passing through!

There isn't much to do there besides get ice cream. The gift shop doesn't really have much blue bell branded stuff in it. The only kind of cool thing is the observatory but that's only opened till 2.

Very nice and clean place, cute shop and delicious ice crean. You get a scoop for only $1. The thing that I do not liked was that they close the observatory deck 3 hours prior to closing the place. That's too early! The should leave it open til 4:30 at least. We drive a long way and didn't get to see it.

My visit to blue bell creame de brenaham tx I did with my children this Summer 2018 all very well, they are very happy to know the place that makes the most delicious snow in texas, we could see how it is manufactured and packed snow, very well for the trees that surround the place and what I like the most is that for $ 1 dollar you can buy the little glass of the snow that you like the most.

Not worth driving an hour just to see the factory from a window at the observation deck. If you are in town, it is worth. Creamery is very well kept and maintained. Really good ice cream.

Great place to visit and to bring the kiddos. The tour isn't like it was in the past, it's now just a walkthrough. And the ice cream in the parlor is not free anymore. But that's to be expected and it's definitely still worth a visit. Highly recommended.

YES, YES, YES. Why would anyone give this place less than 5 stars? My husband surprised me with a trip here on our way home from vacation. We got there bright and early - about 10am (they do about 2k-3k people/day in the summertime so it's best to go early). The tour itself is $6/person with a scoop of blue bell ice cream included at the end of the tour (you can add another scoop for $1 more - yes please). They don't allow pictures in the factory which is understandable, as it's a very interesting place. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and knew everything like the back of his hand. I didn't know that they (sadly) retire 5-6 flavors a year! Definitely a must-see if you're ever driving through the Brenham area. Hell, even if you're not.

If you are from Texas, you pretty much have to visit this place at least once! I sampled a couple different Ice Creams and then walked around and checked out the displays and learned all I could about my favorite Ice Cream!

Great place to visit. Hit and miss when the observation deck is open, so that you can see how the ice cream is made. You can get a huge scoop of ice cream for only $1. Fun to walk through the small museum too.

About Blue Bell Creameries

Blue Bell Creameries: The Best Ice Cream in the Country for Over 100 Years

Blue Bell Creameries is a family-owned and operated ice cream company that has been making the best ice cream in the country for over 100 years. Founded in Brenham, Texas, Blue Bell has become a household name across America, known for its delicious and creamy ice cream flavors.

The company was founded by E.F. Kruse in 1907 as a small dairy farm with just 10 cows. Kruse began making butter from his cows' milk and soon expanded into making ice cream. He named his new venture after the Texas bluebell wildflower that grew on his farm.

Over the years, Blue Bell has grown to become one of the largest privately-owned ice cream companies in America. Despite its growth, Blue Bell remains committed to using only high-quality ingredients and traditional production methods to create its delicious flavors.

One of Blue Bell's most popular flavors is Homemade Vanilla, which is made with pure vanilla extract from Madagascar and Mexico. Other classic flavors include Dutch Chocolate, Cookies 'n Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Strawberry.

In addition to its classic flavors, Blue Bell also offers seasonal favorites like Peppermint Bark during the holidays and Mardi Gras King Cake during Carnival season.

But it's not just about ice cream at Blue Bell - they also offer a variety of frozen snacks like Fudge Bars, Fruit Bars, and Ice Cream Sandwiches. These treats are perfect for those who want something sweet but don't want a full scoop of ice cream.

What sets Blue Bell apart from other ice cream brands is their commitment to quality ingredients and traditional production methods. They use fresh milk from local farms within 200 miles of their production facilities to ensure that their products are always fresh.

Blue Bell also takes great care in how they produce their products - they use slow-churned methods that give their ice creams an extra creamy texture while minimizing air content. This means you get more actual product per scoop than you would with other brands!

Another thing that makes Blue Bell unique is their dedication to giving back to their community through various charitable initiatives such as supporting local schools through donations or sponsoring events like charity runs or food drives.

Overall, if you're looking for high-quality ice creams or frozen snacks made with care using only top-notch ingredients then look no further than Blue Bell Creameries! With over 100 years of experience under their belt plus an unwavering commitment towards excellence both inside & outside of work hours alike - there really isn't anything quite like this iconic American brand!
