We went for two birthday celebrations. The food and most importantly service was exceptional. I will definitely be coming back. If you are looking for a high end Italian meal done right, this is the place for you !

This restaurant is located in Yorkville, my favorite area in downtown Toronto. Excellent service, everybody was so friendly and efficient. You don t have to wait for your dishes for forever. Food were above average. Great atmosphere!!!! They have live music every Friday and Saturday after 8pm.
Tiramisu is a must try dessert!
Went for Winterlicious but I'd go back for their regular menu. Amazing attention to detail and everything is delicious. The staff are kind and attentive and the atmosphere is cozy and romantic.
Proper social distancing measures, ambience was perfect for my mum's birthday dinner. Loved it. The chef was super friendly. Service was great.
I have just had the most amazing meal!!!! THE BEST that I've ever had, carpaccio.... Unbelievable!!!! Scallops, perfect, beautiful crust!!! The service was second to none, and after all that more Delicious food came!!!! Brilliantly al dente pasta with sooooo yummy prawns and lobster..... I'm gob smacked!!!! This is my new bestest place!!!!!

The service was attentive and the restaurant was intimate. They offer valet parking $15. BUT the food quality was not up to Yorkville standards! They only have one steak on the menu 12oz Ribeye $50. They should probably take it off the menu completely because they can't cook it to your liking. Ordered medium cut down the centre and it was rare, they offered to up cook it and it came back charred and still rare... at this point everyone was pretty much done their meal. They comped my meal but I was not impressed... the Cesar kale salad was a disappointment as well... overall this restaurant is not worth a second visit in my opinion.

A terrific option for dining out in Yorkville. The atmosphere was truly top-notch and having a bit of live music was a really nice touch. Our server was very polite and helpful with food and drink recommendations. Food quality was very good and the presentation was definitely to be commended.
Went to dinner with my family.(wife and daughter) didn't have a reservation, but was accommodate with a table.(probably not the best) but not an issue for us. Service was great but a tad slow. Now here's why I give them five stars.
I'm one of those eater's who like my meat cooked well done. (Don't hate me!) My wife is a medium person. I ordered the rack of lamb well done.. and it came cooked to perfection!
Our waiter was friendly and helpful with finding something for my daughter... which wasn't on the menu. Overall we had a very enjoyable dinner. Will return when back in town.

Ambiance: beautiful interior and exterior, very cozy restaurant, excellent for dates. We were there with my wife for our anniversary dinner.
Food: The biggest disappointment. The portion size is small, most of the dishes are overpriced, the quality of food is not good. We have ordered a swordfish with black kale and a Truffle Wild Boar Ragu. My swordfish was just OK, slightly undercooked, but eatable. Wife's Ragu was just awful: very salty. It was salty to the extend that you literally have to take a sip of water. Very disappointing.
Staff: seemed very friendly. The one thing I found weird is that one of the servers passed by, asked if my wife liked the Ragu, she mentioned that it was too salty. Afterward the waiter stated that we won't have to pay for it, if we didn't enjoy the dish. Once we got our bill, it was there. My main point is that: don't offer something you are not willing to do. Anyway I would have paid for the entire dinner, just it looks kind of unprofessional on their end.
Would I recommend this place to any of my clients or friends - no. For the prices Blu Ristorante offers, I better spend in Balud next door.
Lovely Winterlicious dinner out with friends. Our waitress, Holly, was professional and friendly. She was very attentive and made sure everything was to our liking. Our dinner was served in a timely manner and well spaced out. Holly gave us some lovely wine recommendations too. We all chose different entrees and everyone was pleased with what they chose. I don't think you can go wrong at Blu.
Very nice romantic place food was wonderful. Didn't leave feeling over stuffed but satisfied. Had the wild boar great dish

Had a great experience here for my dad's birthday. The space is on the fancier side, very intimate and quiet, perfect place to enjoy a nice meal with someone special. I like the fact that you were separated enough from other tables that you got your own privacy, instead of being bunched up with random people like so many restaurants seem to do these days. Our server was really sweet, she went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience here, checked up on us an appropriate amount of times and put in some extra effort to make my dad's birthday special by altering his dessert to read "Happy Birthday" with a candle. The food itself was delicious, all items ordered met expectations and fit the price point quality and taste wise. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion, you will not be disappointed.

Visited the restaurant on Monday, very cute looking. Food was amazing, I ate the rack of lamb which was perfectly cooked and the grilled calamari also very very good. Definitely recommend.

Really delicious food here and lovely ambiance. It would be a great place to have a romantic dinner! I was here for an event so they had a pre-set menu and passed hors d'oeuvres. The appetizers were different types of bruschetta (tomato, mushroom, etc) and all were delicious. Then we had an antipasta plate on the table with delicious bread. For dinner many people got a tasty looking steak and I got a portabello "steak" that had such nice seasoning. The staff were friendly too!

Great service at Blu Ristorante. I would say the pasta was more of a 4/5 (we had the scallop zucchini pasta and the wild boar pasta) however the scallops were one of the best we had and the cocktails were nice.
Very nice place. It's very expensive but food is really good. Don't expect to get a lot of food but you expect good quality. I order the lambchops and they were amazing.
Really not sure why we had not been to Blu before, and are already planning our next dinner there.
We booked Blu for a Birthday party dinner for 8, and the great experience started before we even arrived. Alfredo was very helpful in setting up Antipasto and Dessert recommendations for the group in advance, and we knew we were going to be in good hands.
Our experience from arrival, through closing it down was fantastic, with each and every staff member working together to create a great atmosphere based on exceptional service.
Great food, great atmosphere, great music, and we were fortunate enough to be there on an evening that Sara Dell was performing. Don, and the rest of the wait staff ensured that we had a great night, and the kitchen kept delivering great food. Yes, you should add the Veal Chop to the Menu!
Looking forward to our next meal and exploring the menu some more.

I thought the restaurant itself was very beautiful. The food really wasn t anything special. My friend sent back his steak twice because it was undercooked and ended up having to order something else. I had the salmon and it was pretty good. Good experience overall.

My husband and I went here October 16, 2020 to celebrate 10 years of our first date. What an amazing time we had, Bryan our waiter was fantastic.!! Food was awesome as usual. Great Saturday night in Yorkville. Amazing food! Had the carpaccio, tuna tartare and the ahi tuna were all superb! Beautiful interior and really nice wait staff. Will definitely be going back.

Hosted our annual staff holiday party at Blu and the response was amazing. Nothing seemed impossible at Blu thanks to Dana and Cody. Service was quick, efficient, and professional. We had a superb 5 course meal, with the Beet Burrata Salad being my personal favourite. Staff with dietary and allergy restrictions were easily accommodated for. Atmosphere was great. I would definitely host another event at Blu and/or come back on my own time. 10 out of 10.

My visit was short as we went just for a drink. Staff were friendly. Drink was good and I enjoyed the live music in the weekend. It is a high quality bar and dress should be more than casual :)
One of my BEST fine dine experiences in Toronto. Superb Italian food with nice atmosphere. Went there for birthday occasion. The price resembles the food you get, very nice fine dine place, indeed. Black truffles spaghetti is one of the best in town. Highly recommended!
Came here for a Winterlicious and was pleasantly surprised with the service, atmosphere, and quality of food. Their beef carpaccio and stuffed chicken breast were both really good. I only gave 3/5 as I feel like their menu could be expanded to offer greater variety and their prices dropped down by a few dollars.

Went here on my birthday and ordered the lobster ravioli with clams. It tasted great but was a bit under cooked. I notified staff and they cooked me some fresh pasta and comped the meal! Very attentive staff and good experience.
The reason I give 3 stars is that I ended up having food poisoning and spent the rest of my birthday in the washroom. I think it was just a random bad batch of food though because otherwise the restaurant is nice.

I expected the food to be better for their price and rating. The design and staff are good. Beef carpacio was delicious, gnocchi were fresh too but seafood linguini ..the calamari were rubbish and pasta was not freshly made by the chef, it was overcooked dry pasta from the package. I would expect pasta to be great at an Italian restaurant. Tiramisu was good. Will not go back there and won't recommend for a delicious dinner restaurant.

I recently hosted a business meeting in the private dining area. The food and service was terrific but the space set aside as private dining is not appropriate for business meetings. They have false wall separations which means they do nothing to drown out the noise from the restaurant (it was a Wednesday evening and it was loud). I would recommend BLU for casual dining -I would however avoid it for hosting business meetings/presentations.

I m not sure who all those people leaving positive review for this place. They either fake or the chef changed with all servers at the same time. Been there at the birthday party. We had 1 server for table of 10 people. It s was bad and slow. Food was so awful that honestly I don t remember when last time in my life I ve had such a horrible experience with food at the restaurant. Seafood pasta was so over salted that it s burned my mouth with cheap boiled pasta from the grocery store and few pieces of overcooked seafood. Dessert was awful not only for me but for all other guests also. You could literally feel sugar crusting on your teeth when you chew it. Frozen desert from any grocery store is much better then that. Everything is waaay too overpriced and service was like a cheap hotel in Mexico. The only positive for this place was live music and nice patio. Never coming back there and definitely would never recommend to anyone else who has some taste receptors in their mouth.

The first time we went, the food was OK, but not great. They stopped us on the way out (although we did not complain and we paid our full bill and tipped). All we did was fill out a survey after the fact and let them know what we thought about the food. They gave us a certificate to come back and were VERY kind, apologetic and wanted us to have another experience with them. My boyfriend and I went back a few weeks later and we had a WONDERFUL experience . Blu has a wonderful customer service model and is really a fun and classy environment. We would definitely go back!

I just had dinner yesterday with a couple of friends after a rainy day in the city. I absolutely loved everything Blu had to offer! The food was beyond excellent! I ordered a Ribeye (medium rare) and it was cooked to perfection. One of my friends ordered the rack of lamb and it was so tender it melted in your mouth. All around a very enjoyable experience as the service was top notch as well. I will definitely be back very soon. Thank you!

My girlfriend and I had dinner here for our anniversary, both of us had great dinners with great service! We started off with a cheese and salami platter then had our main. She got the beet risotto which I tried and was surprisingly delicious especially for someone such as myself that does not like beets. I had the prosciutto veal saltimbocca and it was amazing, the veal was very tender and the combination of all the flavours in the dish made for a great meal!
Fantastic large patio just on Avenue road, given the proximity to the street it's not actually bad. Our Uber took us to the old address which is being demolished, told the staff we'd be a little late due to walking over, they were more than understanding. The seating is nice and distanced, service was great, food was absolutely delicious, although we were there a little late and the place seemed to be empty, the staff assured us there was no rush at all and to relax and enjoy.
Would visit again, for sure.
Had the Winterlicious menu. No complain but no surprise either. We went there on a Sunday so you can BYOW with no corkage fee. Service is excellent. Will most likely go back to try the regular menu some day.

It is not Italian at all even if it goes to a highly evaluated Italian that is Canada and the United States, but here, the wine lineup and food were also enjoyed in very Italian style. I got beet and brattata salads, salmon, and so on, but the beet risotto was excellent. And cannoli with coconut and mango sauce! Very original and enjoyable!
The atmosphere of the shop and the staff were very good and the attendance was perfect. It may not be the top notch, but there is an item. I will go there again if I have a chance to come to Toronto.
