Totally worth the price, you can tell why it's a bit cheaper than other hotels in the area, though. Nothing bad, just needs a little updating. One elevator was out of order but it was being fixed & the flow of people seemed fine with the other one. Fast friendly staff, overall a good experience. Highly likely to visit again in the future.

Check in was easily the best part of our stay, we weren t in our room often but Ryan Marsh at the front desk left such a good impression! He was so friendly and gave us recommendations right off the bat. Great hospitality! The rooms are clean and very close to the French Quarter and St. Charles street car, so it s in a great location.

I did not like the hotel, the dirty room, under the bed there were things and since I have a baby I had to look for their toys there, due to a pandemic they did not want to clean the room, there was no parking, they did not have breakfast, rather the service is lousy, i won't go back there

Good location close to everything . We didn't have to drive our car the whole time . Cafe at the square staff was wonderful. This was the smallest hotel room I have ever been in in my life I guess u get what u pay for definitely not a 3.6 star hotel like they claims to be you have to take your own bags no bell hop . Could of been a lot cleaner .

Great location, room ok, services to be improved. It seems that the staff has no control. They did not come to redo the room for 3 days, only after 2 days they changed the towels. The bottle of water in the gym remained empty for 2 days, among other things the clerk also tried to use the water without success and did not change it until I specifically asked if it was possible to put a new one .
I think a more present or attentive manager could help this structure

This hotel was great for the location with ease of access to all the downtown areas. It was great first 2 days I checked in and stayed on the 11th floor. 3rd day the elevator went down and we had to take alt elevator to 10th floor and then lift baby stroller to 11th floor via stairway and back... was not the best experience with this.
No breakfast available with booking but they promote the apparent private restaurant just off the lobby.
Not for the frugal travellers and those with kids if looking to be comfortable throughout the stay.
However it's very convenient for getting around downtown N.O.

" My daughter and I took a quick little get away to New Orleans for the New year weekend, we had a nice time down there. We stay at Blake hotel, Beautiful hotel. We Stay there about 4 or 5 times, because it close to everything in walking distance. Stores, casino, boat tours, the riverfront, restaurants, bus and train service, super dome right down the street to go the games. Etc. But forturly everything is canceled due to the pandemic, but when this pandemic get out of dodge city, it on like donkey corn . Mardi Gras and Essence, Louis armstrong feast, Indian food feast, here we come if the Lord say the same!" Masks are still required inside and out!" Will go back soon!" God bless you all!" Stay Safe!" Great city to visit and have a blast!

Good price and great location. You're in walking distance to the Art Galleries, WW2 museum, French Quarter and the Super Dome/Smoothie King Center. If you don't want to walk a mile or two here or there, there are plenty of uber/lyft drivers nearby.

Currently checked in for a Madi Gras slash birthday vacation and was greeted by a rude desk clerk. She was very defensive and quick to dismiss her responsibilities. We arrived check in was 4pm cool but she tried to offer us a room that did not have the view i was charged for. Not only that our room was not cleaned up properly we slept in the beds only to wake with hair Not ours in the sheets and on the pillows . A less than stellar bathroom etc. The worst oart no housekeeping until after 5pm the next day and she actually asks me oh did u want housekeeping?? Ummm duh didn't i pay almost 500.00 dollars for housekeeping. Another brush off !! Then i called the front desk she answered and avouded me the entire call. This could be a pretty decent hotel ...however Miss No name tag ..idk at the front desk was horrible. Can we say please consider my refund!!

Great location. The hotel is well kept. The beds are a bit flat but not terrible. There is no Continental breakfast but there is a restaurant at the hotel. Everyone was very nice and patient. You are right in the Mardi Gras parade route and minutes from every other party place in the French Quarter. There is called parking for approximately $40 or you can park yourself for approximately $35. There is street parking nearby as well.

We left a request on booking.com to cancel our stay in this hotel because travel from New York to New Orleans is a crazy idea right now. We wanted to move the date to August or September this year, but didn t get any response back from the hotel. After waiting for a response for over a week, we got charged a cancellation fee today without working it out. It s nice that in a middle of a pandemic you guys make a profit. I think it goes without saying, but we re never booking with this hotel again.

Book the hotel room here because I had to travel f...

Book the hotel room here because I had to travel for a doctor's appointment. Absolutely horrible parking there is nowhere to park in this area without paying an arm and a leg. The staff was anything but friendly or helpful it seemed like it was more of an inconvenience to them having you there. The elevators will horribly slow stopped on every single floor up and down even though nobody got on and none of the buttons were pressed for those floors. Room was small bed was completely uncomfortable. The bathroom mirror on the back side of the door almost fell off when my wife went in to use the restroom and close the door. Called the front desk to inform them that this full length mirror almost fell I'm broke and could have seriously injured my wife. They stated they would send maintenance to secure it but they never did so I took it upon myself to go to my car 12 blocks away in a parking garage to get a screwdriver out of the trunk so I could secure it so it wouldn't fall and hurt anyone. Way overpriced for what you are getting. The TV keep shutting off every 30 minutes. The food in the little Bistro was so so nothing to brag about that's for sure. All in all I will never stay at this hotel ever again. The best thing about this hotel was The View and it's close proximity to Bourbon Street. That's about it. Pretty sad because this can be a really nice hotel if it would just do a few things such as customer service and maintenance.

This is a beautiful hotel with a lot of charm. The room is clean and comfortable with a view of the downtown. The beds are soft and the linens are crisp. I'd delivery stay here again as it is very convenient to both the French quarter and warehouse district.

Staff was nice but the hotel needed some remodeling. There was a huge gap between the bath tub and the wall. Also was not told that valet would cost even though we were staying the night. I was told for 2 nights it would be $85 as I was checking out.

Keys didn't work after I asked for duplicates. Bathrooms were hilariously small. Coffee maker had no cup for us to actually make coffee. Only valet parking and no concern about providing customers any kind of solution. Dismissive staff. The Blake is far from what it appears to be.

Horrible birthday experience. Bar/ Restaurant staff was unfriendly and rude. Had no water the first night of the visit and no type of compensation was given nor were we able to speak to management. Room was unclean for two day during our stay. Housekeeping did a very brisk job one day. If you want a place close to the Bourbon Street but far enough to sleep and, your okay with subpar cleaning and unfriendly forgetful staff this is the hotel for you. If you don t want to pay over 100 dollars a night and be unhappy find another establishment.

Very dirty. Convenient location and good price if you don't care about your room being cleaned. I just tried not to touch anything and washed my hands a lot. Bring slippers or something cause you don't want to be barefoot in your room.

Advance to agoda booking price is very good. Valet parking for $45 is not cheap. You can park nearby for 24 hours $30. Walk for 3 minutes. There are many museums nearby. French Streets are all walking, or you can enjoy street views along the street car. Because you have to pay for parking everywhere, if you stop the car first, walk or ride, it is more convenient. The counter staff in the hotel are very friendly, the room is very clean, there is a bath in the room, you can go back to soak when you get to the foot. I like it very much, the bed is very comfortable, there is no breakfast, there is a breakfast shop near, there is a convenient use of google map, if you are hardworking, you can go to the French market, there are also many cheap and delicious breakfast choices!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! My husband and I stayed here ...

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! My husband and I stayed here on July 24, 2015 (just a few days ago) The picture on the website is not what you get in reality. The other reviews that mention the whole smoking thing are absolutely true, our room smelled like an ashtray. The hotel was not impressive at all but the kicker is this, we paid for valet parking, $38.00 plus the tax, we're talking $42.00 right? My husband and I leave Saturday afternoon and on the way home stop to fuel up,our debit card is declined. We called the 1-800 to our bank to see where our money had gone and it said $571.50 was taken out. We called our bank Monday morning and guess where it went?! That's right, BLAKE HOTEL in New Orleans! Naturally I am livid so we call and Rocky, the "manager" stated that this was a small error.Hell NO it is NOT. $20.00 bucks is considered a "small error"!!! He would not even get on the phone and speak to me at first, he was using a front desk clerk as the middle man. Once he finally got on the phone he tried to justify this, now my husband and I are overdrawn in our account even though the money was placed back last night(Tuesday night), ( due to debit transactions we made Friday that were still pending). I called back today and asked for the general manager, Rocky answers the phone, I tell him who I need to speak with and he picks the phone back up acting like he is the general manager! I am a parole officer and deal with idiots every day but this is a new. However, this is one woman that will NOT shut up or go away until I get EVERY PENNY BACK!!!!!!

The staff was very nice. The rooms were small but cozy. The only complaint we have is the bed. Which is the sole purpose of the hotel is to sleep. The bed was hard and the pillows were awkward. They seemed to be throw pillows more than pillows that you would use to sleep on. The restaurant has excellent food. Would I stay there again? Only if they updated the beds cause it was really hard to sleep on. And we didn't sleep well.

The room was a great size and the facilities were good, even if the air conditioning was a bit like a 747 taking off. However, despite when checking in I notified them that I had 2 bookings and asked for them to be combined, they weren't and so all of my toiletries and several personal items (thankfully not of great monetary value but including contact details that I need for work) were thrown out after the first booking ended. I don't get it as they clearly stopped clearing the room when they found all my clothes still hanging in the wardrobe so why they didn't reclaim everything from the bin I have no idea! The front desk promised complementary replacements but they didn't arrive so I had to go out and buy them. 5 stars for the room and facilities, minus 4 for messing up and failing to rectify it

I'm not sure why there are bad reviews for this hotel. I had a great experience the room was nice a cozy with a good view of the city. I was about 10-15 min walk to bourbon st and about 5-10 to other restaurants. The trolley runs close to the hotel. They dont serve complimentary breakfast but a restaurant is connected to building. The hotel was quiet and secure. Small fridge microwave and coffee pot in room with t.v. I would definitely stay here again, great value for price. About 15min walk from convention center

I wish I could put less than one star. I stayed at this hotel for my birthday weekend with my boyfriend. Upon arrival, I leave my car with the (overpriced) valet. Then when I go to my room I realized I left my iphone in my car on the charger. When I tracked my phone, it was in my car still. Then when the valet looks for it they can t find it. Then when I call it, 15 minutes later, the phone is off. The staff didn t care. Don t stay here.

Don't bother staying here. Staff is unwilling to help if you have issues. Used valet service when called for our car no one answers called front desk no one answers. Stayed here for one night while traveling to Houston ... the front desk help was sensational, I wish i could remember her name to give her a shout out, but she was a young, very cute african-american girl with braids ... was very knowledgeable and friendly ... also the Valet attendant was super cool, reminded me a little of Opie Taylor / Carrot-top but in the nicest way possible (def. not an insult) ... the room was super clean, a little tiny, but being by myself it was not a problem ... but with more than one guest it could get very tight. I did not explore much of the hotel, so I don't have any good or bad to say in that respect ... literally checked-in, went to Conchon to eat, came back and fell asleep. But would def. stay there again, so I guess that's a good thing!

Awful awful awful awful awful..... Run for the hills.... We stayed here for a family vacation both evaluators broke at the same time:(((( My aunt is in a wheelchair and my mother in law has had two hip replacements...The elevator continued to be out of order. The night attendant was not very sympathetic while the elevators were getting fixed. I asked if we could have different rooms while they were being repaired and was advised no we just wait. We waited for a LONG TIME!!!!!They next day I did speak with the assistant manager and was offered 1 free well drank or beer per guest. She was pleasant. I think all of the money should have been refunded!!!!! Run like your a track star!!!
