Stay was great. Valet parking fees were ridiculous. Cafe in hotel had great food with decent prices. Room was nice & clean. Staff was friendly. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars because none of the staff offered to help me with my luggage trolley, they watched me struggle to open the door by myself and attempt to get in and out of the door with it. This happened both when I checked in and when I checked out. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. Great location.

Very surprised by the room we had. 11th floor, so only one elevator goes to it. Room was spacious..no view to really talk about , but clean and quiet. Close walk to Smoothie King and .08 mi to the Quarter. Will definitely stay here again. Only bad thing is I never received a copy of my receipt. Was told by front desk clerk it would be emailed to me and still have never received it.

I have stayed at other larger and newer hotels in New Orleans. This is an older hotel, but clean and well cared for. I must say this was the best experience I have ever had. The front desk, housekeeping and the chefs were the kindest people I have ever met in New Orleans. I stayed 4 nights, anxious about TS Barry. The staff made you feel welcome and safe. I had the best bread pudding I have EVER had. I plan on staying here the next time I come to New Orleans, it felt like home. Lastly, please tip the person who keeps your room clean, they provide a service and deserve tips just like other service employees.

The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We were transferred here from a sister hotel due to air-conditioning breakdown issues. They took us in with a smile on their faces and treated us as if we'd paid top dollar.
The room was nice, clean, beds were comfortable.
Don't expect breakfast or a dip in the pool. This is right downtown, & they just don't have have the room. It's a small lobby. They DO have an attached diner which had an excellent high quality breakfast!

This hotel is trash for the most part. The lobby is nice looking and the restaurant is okay. The rest of it was not a pleasant experience at all. The carpets are dirty, the a/c is loud, the bathrooms don't have vents to take out shower steam and other smells.

Also housekeeping is a joke. We had to beg for towels and rags, even tho we hung them up, indicating they would be reused. We asked for sheets to be changed on one of the beds, so they just physically gave us the sheets. Took us 2 days to actually get someone to change the sheets and do simple things like take out the trash. The manager clearly only works a few hours a day and was never available when we asked for her.

If you want a cheap, no frills stay, bring your own towels and don't call the inexperienced front desk.

Rooms were clean However, the beds were hard and squeaky! When we expressed our concerns to the front desk the ladies were nice about giving us access to another room to see if the bed was better. After checking the bed in the different room, it was way worse than the first.

Long story short, we had a 3-day reservation and ended up staying one night and going to a different hotel. (My back hurts from how hard/worn out the bed was).

All in all, I would suggest spending your money elsewhere.
