Great burgers, terrific selection of fine beers, really excellent service ... and GOOD KARMA!!

The morning after having burgers and beer with a friend at Black Sheep Lodge I noticed my wallet was missing ... looked everywhere around the house, no joy; the only place I'd been was BSL, and I evidently dropped it as I was leaving. I called and talked to D.J., who told me "Yes!" it was there, yes, we'll hang onto it for you. When I picked it up I found that the cash, credit cards, discount coupon for Half Price Books, everything was right there. Thanks to the very cool, very honest, very high-class staff at BSL for being such fine people. They are the best. Five Stars for sure.

Great place to catch a game, have a beer with friends or brunch. They have a pretty extensive beer list and some really great weekly specials. The parking can be a real pain -- make sure to abide by the towing signs.

Looking for your local Redskins bar? What about your modern day beer garden with misters to cool you off and huge TVs with just about any game on? Well, Black Sheep Lodge it is. While Sundays during the fall are my personal favorite, you can go there any day of the week, and you are sure to find an assortment of Austinites with their friends and dogs ready to party. The food is definitely your standard bar food, but the wings, fried cheese curds, and burger are an absolute must.

I met my current girlfriend here on the 4th of July. It's a nice enough bar, but not much of a lodge. Also, I'm a little uncomfortable with them making it a race thing. Good selection. Decent prices.

This place is always great. Don't go if you want expensive, fancy drinks or healthy food. Everything else is possible here.

Service was great! The food on the other hand was a disappointment. I oreded cheese curds, black sheep burger, and a draft beer. The amount of cheese cruds given for the price doesn't match it. Some of them didn't even have cheese inside it. The burger tasted burnt and plain. As for the beer it was semi cold. Again Service was great, and the vibes were chill. I'm willing to give it another chance though.

Perfect patio bar for watching the game or indulging in their To Die For cheese curds! They have tasty specials; I've had a cheese curd hamburger, soft shell crab po'boy, and look forward to more tasty eats! Always well priced and perfect for hanging with friends!

always a nice place to stop at for great food!! I love their salads! They re not over-dressed and they have just the right about of everything! My boyfriend s favorite are their wings.

I quite enjoy this place. The food is pretty good for it being a bar. They have tons of top notch beers available, several televisions, and decent table service. I prefer the outside picnic tables over the crowded together, long tables indoors. In another room, they also have shuffle board and pool that's fun during the day when there aren't many around. The only bummer is that they close at midnight. Well, that and parking.

Awesome every time! Best place to chill, eat and have a beer with friends.. especially while one of them is getting a tattoo next door!!!! Get the cheese curds!... they'll change your life!!!!!!!!!!

Used to be known for their burgers. Not sure what has happened, but my burger was nothing worth mentioning this time around. The service saved them, hence the 3 stars.

Great patio. A lil loud, but it's fun and the sandwiches are on point. Great corn dog mini bites!

First time at black sheep. I could not have asked for a better experience. I am a picky eater and the waitress (Jude I think) was more than helpful when I asked for advice. The burger was AMAZING and I will for sure be back.

Old trusty. This is one of the only decent sports bars in central Austin in my opinion and the crowd proves it. Get there early for your game.

Good place to watch sports. Annoying you can't smoke in the outside area, like you can in other places.

The dessert selections are interesting and delicious. There's shuffle board. Their beer selection is pretty incredible. What more could you ask for?

We stopped by to grab a bite and beer no one came up to sit us or greet us after we asked a server if we can just sit at the patio she mentioned we could. We waited 10 minutes and no one showed up to take our order or bring us water. We took off.

I had high expectations for Black Sheep because my last burger was great and the service was amazing. My last order was all kinds of messed up. The fries had way too much salt and the burger was pretty bad after waiting forever. I live so close so it's super disappointing I cant get the same level of service anymore. Thanks guys but It might be a while before I try again. If I try again.

Pretty good little dive off South Lamar. I like the darts, I like the bar, I like the atmosphere.

Never left a review about the last time I was there over two years ago.

A female bossy boots manager told me to never come back when this repeat customer had the temerity to civilly complain about the quite sub-standard waitstaff. She actually lied to me then told me to never return.

It pleases me knowing I will never again give them a red cent.

I didn't enjoy my food very much but they have pretty good drinks. The rest of my party enjoyed their food.

This is the spot for any Redskin fan (like myself)! There is also a lot of soccer fans who pack this place full on any given match. Good food and drink specials bring a loyal following.

Nice bar with good service and a lot of traffic. Have enjoyed sitting on the patio and having a few beers.

Great place to hang with some friends, have a few cold ones, and watch any sports match you want. Parking can be a bit tricky though, but overall, good place.

Pretty great local hang out. Affordable, unique drink options. Food is good. If it's early, kids and dogs can hang out on the porch for a meal. Love these local haunts for a quick drink or bite!

One tip - there is some parking in the BACK, not on the side. Otherwise you have to park in the neighborhood, so carpool, walk or bike if you can ;-).

I had the veggie burger and it was good! The regular fries were also good. However, the place is loud, limited parking, very dark, and our server kept disappearing for like 20 minutes.

Great place to relax and grab drinks with your friends. Decent food, nothing to write home about. I would say the most appealing thing about the place would be the beautiful South Austin women and excellent beer prices. Specials almost everyday.

BEST BURGER EVER! The burger not only looked gorgeous but also was super delicious. Tater tot s are a must, they are perfectly crispy. The cheese curds are good, but they were a bit soggy (maybe because I got them to go). Overall amazing!!

Great bar with endless selection of beers. Burgers are some of the best bar burgers in town. Sports on all of their televisions.

Nice staff and decent selection of beer, however it can get quite loud. There are loads of televisions for you to watch a game on.

Really great happy hour prices! They made accomodations for our large group, which was super great. Can't beat a $1 tall boy.

The food at Black Sheep Lodge is better than traditional pub fair. It's not just because the occasionally feature FRIED BACON on their specials. I love a pub that serves tator tots, and one that serves them with a side of queso- well, I die! They make a bold claim that their burgers are the best in South Austin, and while others could give them a run for their money, I have to say they are not crazy to make this claim.

Everything I've tried has been delicious, and I can't wait to try more on the menu here!

Always a great place day or night to either chill with buds on the patio or scream with the crowd at some sports ball! Killer drink specials to boot!

Black Sheep Lodge is a great place to watch games! They have decent drink specials and a big variety of drinks. My husband loves the buffalo blue cheese burger, he gets it every time we go. Parking can be a bit frustrating, because the parking lot is very small. You can park across the street or down the road. The outdoor patio is nice and dog friendly. It's a fun laid back bar and grill.

My favorite place for beer, chipotle wings, and cheese curds!!! Been coming here for years and never disappoints. I like that they have a variety of drinks for all preferences as well.

Black Sheep is the best! They always have fun parties for the Oscars, Super Bowl, and other major sporting events. The food is super tasty and they add new seasonal menu item's as well. The burger is amazing and you have to get the tots, because they are perfectly crispy.

The food is decent but for some reason our food was full of salt. I actually like salt but this was abnormal even for pub grub. Service was also quite slow but the atmosphere was fun. I might try this place again

We had the lunch menu. The wings tasted great. The server was nice and made sure everything was right. Highly recommended.

One of the best places for cheap drinks and great American bar food in Austin. I don't even like sports and I love coming here. It's usually great for sports fans because of the 50 TVs in every room but honestly, we just come for the food and to play pool.

Cool porch, staff is always cool and easy to chat with when they have time. Food could use some righting up but good drinks and draft choices.

One of my favorite spots in town to grab a drink, watch games on the many TV's with solid grub out of the kitchen. However, the fries can be a little salty at times. The vibe is great, darts, shuffle board, video games and kid friendly up until 10 pm. One of the top gritty bar/food spots in town.

Great ambiance, always a good crowd. CHICAGO DOG to kill for! White Trash Wednesday make this place not only tasty, but affordable.
