Black Oak Pharmacy Review

Pharmacist Ken was very helpful in troubleshooting cost-effective seizure meds for my son. At times they do not keep enough meds stocked for us, even though we have used them for years for the same meds...so that can be frustrating. Friendly staff. Wish they were open longer hours on weekends.

Came in before closing time to turn in prescription. Was totally ignored & wasnt even told that they would be with me in a moment. Very disrespectful

This place obviously does not care about its customers based off of it hours of operation. And the way they talk to the customers.

If this pharmacy didn't deliver, I wouldn't go here. They short me meds all the time, and they claim they triple count them, all of them, even the non-narcotics. I always end up 1-3 days short on one of my medications every other month. And every time I call them on it, they cop an attitude and say their records show they gave me all of what I was supposed to get. This is not a good pharmacy like it used to be. All I have to say is beware.

Hard to work with had to go twice for one wrist brace.

This pharmacy is withen walking distance of asante rogue valley hospital. They have all the items that a pharmacy normally carries. They have always done a good job for us. Price is not as low as wallmart or wallgreens. They make up for this by their service.

I have been dealing with pharmacies for many years. I thought safeway was horrid. Black Oak Pharmacy tops that! I have had the worst experience of any pharmacy I have ever dealt with! Unfortunately no choice because ohp FORCES DIABETICS to get their machine and supplies from this joke pharmacy and no other one. Beware dealing with any person there. Not one person treats you as human!

Had what I needed and was totally happy with the service

They have the most informative and patient Pharmacists and clerk. Thank you for being so awesome.

One of the few compound pharmacies left in the Valley. Tim is helpful and knowledgeable. I've had to wait in line a few times, but that comes from being a great office at a great location. Very pleased with the team here.

I hate to write negative reviews, and I REALLY wanted to like BOP as they deliver, but my first experience has been anything but positive. I dropped off an Rx and purchased an approx $6 item on Tues. I thought the total was high but assumed I was charged for the prescription as well. I also asked for the Rx to be delivered to my elderly relative, which they assured would happen on Thurs- which was fine. I got home and realized they had charged me $33 for my $6 item, so I had to go back to the store to get the refund. Thursday came and went with no prescription delivery. Friday morning I called at 9:00 inquiring where the rx was and was told the delivery was overlooked and was assured that the rx would be delivered by 11:00. By 1:00 PM, still no sign of the rx. I left a vmail (was unable to talk to a live person) and have now been waiting over an hour to get a return call. The person I talked with said they have been very busy since the Manor's pharmacy has closed. I am sympathetic to that, however it seems like they should limit new customers until they can staff appropriately and insure quality. Over promising and under delivering is not a business model that is sustainable. I hope they are able to pull themselves together. In the mean time, buyer beware.

They are courteous and answer my questions. I take multiple medications for multiple reasons. The pharmacists are always knowledgeable and make sure I understand possible complications. My previous pharmacist had to retire. And I feel fortunate to have found another pharmacy that delivers and takes time to make sure your prescriptions are correct and counted out correctly.

We find first aid supplies here, that we can't get elsewhere. They do compounding of meds, too! And will mail finished meds to you, if needed!!

Didnt use them but tried. These are great kind people.

I finally found my go to Pharmacy. They have great service and the Pharmacist is the best. I appreciate his knowledge. The show of concern to see how I'm doing by the staff is endearing. With all my special needs and various med it's good to know someone care.

Uneven. Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly but if there's a problem with your Rx refill, they don't call to let you know. Not open until 1 on Saturday. I was just there at 12:58 and just needed a couple minutes to pick up my refill. I could see people there but they already had the door locked and ignored my pounding on the door.

I have never had so much trouble with a pharmacy before. I have been in and out for over a week trying to get a brace the prescaiption was sent a week ago and they still "have no idea" what they can do. The number 1 reason i have gone to 1 pharmacy my whole life. they are not great at treating people with care unlike mine they treat you as you are family and always have.

They are not an authorized Medicare supply company. They lied to me and told me I could purchase my crutches from them and send the receipt into Medicare to get a reimbursement. That is 100% not true. Luckily, I called Medicare before doing so and Medicare said that if I would ve purchased the crutches and sent him the receipt they would ve not sent me any reimbursement because Black Oak is not authorized to sell Medicare equipment.

Long waits and how can a huge pharmacy like this be closed on the weekend!?!? Like they can't afford to stay open on the weekend? Enjoy your sabbath while we all suffer! (Admittedly overdramatic, sorry :-)

not helpful when i had an allergic reaction to a compounded medicine they prepared. maybe if they had showed more concern i would not have reported the incident to the state pharmacy board. the owner should not be in this sort of business. pharmacists can be very helpful in the proper use of medicines, but in this case they failed entirely. this is not how anyone wants to manage their health. avoid this pharmacy. all it seems to have going for it is location; very near the hospital and many medical centers.

For some reason, my doctor sent a script I had to BOP. I went the following day to retrieve it. However, they didn't have it and I had to wait an hour and a half before they filled it. All it was, was a box of test strips for my blood sugar testing machine. It took an HOUR AND A HALF to slap a sticker on a box. What made it more interesting is that about 10 people had the same issue whilst I was there. I called my doctor afterwards and let them know I will never go there again.

They have good support braces, but I swear I stood in line for a half an hour, and there was only 2 people ahead of me

I love Black Oak Pharmacy! They always have what I need, and it only takes them 15 minutes to fill my RX! I highly recommend!

Great pharmacy. I went there to get a brace for my wrist. They had what I wanted but their selected has gone down.
