The overall idea is neat, but our female host seemed to fly through everything very fast. It wasn't super informative. Mainly sight seeing. I didn't learn much. I figured with biking around we could stay at one place longer and be able to listen to more information but it was not the case. There was a tour that left before us and we seemed to get quite a bit ahead of them. So maybe depending on who you get the experience will be different.
A perfect way to spend our first afternoon in Budapest. Mateus, our guide was brilliant. Really informative, laid back and nice guy.
My husband and I took a guided tour with Buda Bike in May 2016. It was a great experience, with a very knowledgeable and fun guide (Hi Perrine!). The pace was good, the level of difficulty is for absolutely everyone (very flat), the bikes were in good condition, and the city itself has a lot to offer. Thank you, Buda Bike!
Had a super nice Tour! Small group, with a Dutch-speaking tour guide who could tell a nice story. Since the weather was nice, we adjusted the Tour a bit and we went to the park. It was great!

Great tour experience with Barbara. There were 4 in our group so we practically had a private tour. The guide asked us what we had already seen and what we wanted to see and the type of experience we were looking for. Barbara delivered. We saw many areas of the city that we would not have seen on foot. We had lunch at a traditional Hungarian spot where the locals eat. Our guide ordered an array of dishes that we would not have ordered ourselves. Each dish was fabulous. We also took in an amazing family owned bakery that had spectacular desserts. Overall Barbara was very knowledgeable, educated on her community and very pleasant. Great tour.
The bike tour was perfect! Starting with good planning and coordination by email for our group. When we were there, we had a great guide who adapted to our group. We were all very happy.
We had a great time on the 2.5-hour classic tour. It was just two of us plus our guide Peter. Before setting out he asked us a bit about our interests. We mentioned architecture and history, and he really delivered. We came away with a better understanding of Hungary especially in the 20th century, and plenty of fun facts you wouldn t get on a run-of-the-mill tour. Highly recommended!

Was very interesting. There was a lot of information passed on and sometimes spoken plain text. Route you could look out. We were a group of 17 people and it was always looked, no one lost and always got it all. Bicycles for every size joined. Also for our children. Helmets was not a problem either. I can only recommend.
There are 1 star deduction because some bikes did not work properly.

Buda Bikes is lovely way to see the city in 2.5 hours! The guide was timely, knowledgeable, and patient while answering our questions and she had funny little anecdotes at each of our stops. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour! It was also a great way to get some much needed cardio after eating all the goulash, langos, and sweets.

My colleague and I did a bike tour with a school class in September 2016. It was absolutely fantastic. Our students were impressed with the information we got from our two very competent guides. The ride along the bank of the beautiful Danube river was a great experience. This tour is a must for everyone visiting Budapest.

I had a great time. The weather was warm, but the guide made a stop at a gelato place to help us beat the heat. The biking was flat and easy, and we stayed mostly on roads. Our guide, Laszlo, was very informed, spoke great English, and was generally a fun guy to have around.

We had a great time. They re german was very good and they could provide a lot of backgroundinfo. They talk about their own experience living in Budapest for exemple during the the occupation by Russia which was very interessting.
Simply excellent. Very professional and courteous. We decided to do this on the last day of our 4-day visit to Budapest. Our tour provided a lot of great background and history about the many sites, landmarks and monuments we had seen during our first few days and some other hidden ones that we hadn't seen yet. Our tour guide, Perrine, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, friendly, great personality and really knows her history of Budapest and Hungary in general. We could not have been more happy with our bike tour.
Our guides Laslo and Veronika met us in the city centre near st Stefan Basilica and made good impression on our group.They greeted us and we began our excursion. The trip was amazing, guys told us a lot of exciting stories, gave us interesting tasks during the cycle trip (e.g. find the statues in the park and state who these personalities were). Also Laslo and Veronika showed us wonderful places where we could take great photos of the city sights. To be short, the way they led the excursion was extremely positive. Everyone was pleased with this trip. And 2 hours seemed like 30 minutes. We really wanted to continue. Hope we shall meet again in Budapest

Very nice experience! Our guide Mathias spoke Dutch fluently and gave a lot of background information. Took the time to occasionally take a look around the bike. We have done this now on the last day of our trip was perhaps more fun to do this the first day. Highly recommended !

Amazing tour. We explored many popular areas in Budapest. Our tour guide Perrine was very intellectual and clearly told us about the history of each area. We did the night tour on a Friday night. This was one of my favourite things I did in Budapest! Everyone should do it!

Simply awesome time with Laslow giving us a full history lesson of the city. We met downtown near the basilica and then made our way to the Jewish quarter. The narrow streets and cool atmosphere really made it fun way to start the journey. We then went down the main avenue down to the Central Park of the city with many sites along the way. We took many opportunities to get off the bike and take pics. Laslow is in his calling with his tales and history of the city - he is extremely knowledgeable. Overall, lasted about 2.5 hours, really a wonderful time!
