The bytes and bots program has inspired my son to become a game developer. He enjoys going to class and working on all the projects. The small group size allows him to get the one-on-one attention from instructors. We give this place a thumbs up.

I have had the extreme pleasure of working very closely with Mathobotix for the past year. I help support their Codologie program at 3 schools in Anaheim. May I say, this is a TOP NOTCH organization.

Kumar and his mentors are a spectacular group of people that genuinely care about giving kids opportunities in computer science, robotics, and STEAM. Their curriculum consists of full STEAM integration and provides students in the program with a holistic learning approach. I was impressed all year long with the dedication of Kumar and his staff. I watched students in September with no knowledge of Raspberry Pi/Arduino and other electronic components take these parts in May and construct amazing purposeful projects (gumball machines, digital locks, home alarm systems, etc.) with elaborate programs using Python programming language. Mathobotix uses the System Development Life Cycle, which closely mirrors the universally recognized Engineering Process. This is how they provide students with the structure that they need to be successful. They provide a very safe environment for students to learn by overcoming multiple real-life challenges, just like any engineer/software designer/web developer would. Additionally, Mathobotix helps provide students with confidence to improve their soft skills (oral/written language).

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mathobotix - summer camps, after-school programs, etc. - for any families wishing to provide their students with unique opportunities that provide kids with life skills that go way beyond the projects that they create.

My 6 year old loves Lego's and is very inventive and mechanically inclined in his creations. The Irvine Mathobotix class is great at fostering development and helping kids learn new concepts involving math, geometry and basic programming concepts - way in advance of anything taught in school at the given age. The mentors are also focused on each student's strengths, weaknesses and are able to customize the projects accordingly. There is a good balance of individual work and learning from the instructors. Highly recommended!

My three children (all girls) have been attending Mathobotix classes for almost 4 years now. This program is amazing! My girls are thriving and have such a great appreciation for Math and STEM. The mentors are so good with the kids and share their knowledge in such a fun and exciting way, which keeps the kids engaged - even my youngest who is 5 years old! I highly recommend this program!

My son is in buildologie class and will be going for the next challenge with EV3's. I like the way mentors work with my son and help him in his thought process in designing and implementation of robots. What I liked the most is that it is not instruction driven approach rather it is mentoring approach.

I am currently a student of Mechanical Engineering(ME) at UC Berkeley and attended Mathobotix about 5-6 years ago during my middle school years. Mathobotix was very influential for me in developing my current interest in ME through its immersive Lego Mindstorms program. Through the help encouraging and enthusiastic mentors, I found the experience to have just the right amount of support to get me into designing and programming robots with healthy design processes, but with a good amount of freedom as well to allow for my own imagination and creativity to grow. This program is excellent for young students, whether they are exploring possible long-term interests or just trying something new, and will provide a strong educational environment for them to learn about robotics and programming.

This is the 3rd year that my 10-year-old son has been attending Mathobotix. He started in Lego robotics (Buildologie) and now is into programming (Codeologie). The instruction is personalized. My son can choose from projects he is interested in and can even have his own ideas and the instructors do their best to accommodate. When a project is completed, kids present it. It is a safe environment to practice presentation and public speaking skills at an early age in addition to STEM skills. I highly recommend this place for everyone who want their kids to build valuable skills in a fun, relaxed environment. My son keeps wanting to go back, so we will be in our 4th year soon.

Our son did two weeks of Codologie and had a fun time both weeks, thanks to his mentors Fernando, Nghia and Raymond. They are great with coding. For the future, one suggestion is that you make Buildologie presentation shorter -or- do two separate presentations: one for Codologie and one for Buildologie - so parents don't have to sit through the show and tell for too long (for parents with tight work schedule/conflict as the show and tell is in the middle of the day at 2:15pm or 2:50pm).

The Buildogolie camp was a very good introduction to my 13 year old daughter about hands on technical applications. They built an obstacle course - so they started with a concept, then built their robotic obstacles, which involved sensors and some programming. I found the entire project to be very practical and neat. Even though this camp was full of little boys(which was a concern of mine), she stayed focused on her job and loved it.

My son and I loved the experience with Mathobotix. Their mentors were very knowledgeable on the subject. Buildologie was a great experience. My son, Kevan went on many show and tell and he also had a greatly amazing project at open house. He learned how to program the NXT and EV3 and he is know passionate about programming. Mathobotix is great for people who want to learn coding, basic software and hardware. He learned many parts and electricity works in more dept. Therefore, I think kids should go to Mathobotix.

Kudos to Kumar, Fernando and the team of rockstar mentors at Bytes & Bots to instill the importance of STEM concepts in young kids as well as their parents. My kid has attended sessions from multiple tracks like Buildologie, Codologie, Fabologie, etc. over the past few years and been able to understand the practical application of STEM concepts via hands-on projects. With the advent of era of new age technologies such as Robotics, 3D Fabrication, Advanced Programming, etc., it has become extremely important for our kids to be exposed to these concepts. I wish the very best to Bytes & Bots team in continued delivery of their promise.

I am not that kind of person who usually left a review but, this time I got angry as a mother. When I tried to find summer camp for 6 years old, I found this Mathobotix. It said 6 years old can sign up. It's been just two days since he started taking this summer camp. But, Teacher said my son doesn't know how to use computer and he can't understand in this class. Ok, find! But it's been just two days and teachers supposed to teach them from very beginning. The worst part is Teacher said bad things(kids not.smart enough) about my son to me and my nanny IN FRONT OF MY SON. Who does that??? What kind of teacher says like that to parents in front of their kids?? After class my son asked me that 'mommy, am I not good?" I'm so mad as a mother. And I almost cried it was really hurt to listen when my son said like that. He's never heard that kind of thing from teachers, all teachers said he is really good and focus well and he really likes to learn.
However,
He never learned how to use computer and everything in this class is new to him. I watched how teacher teach my son. In a mean voice ' hey, just click the student sign' so I ask teacher that ' did you teach how to use computer?, what the click mean is?' The teacher said ' no, I show him first day.' What...???? So I ask him one more time 'do you know what my son's age? '
Any way, I talked with manager and he told me
he will full refund and take my son now. He told me that he will refund today so take my son and leave!!!
And I left with my son. After few hours the owner called me and he wanted know what happened so I tried to explain everything and asked him just full refund like your manager said to me. He said money is not a issue he wants to fix this problem. How can he fix it? It's already happened. Who send their children after this kind of situation? The point is the owner doesn't want to refund. The owner kept on saying wow you're really upset. Of course, I'm upset because I am the MOTHER!!

It's been already pass 2 months, They didn't refund or called me back at all.
I called several time they said - oh we will. and never did that.
they still kept on lying. The teacher and manager told me they are going to full refund because they said don't come the class any more. After that they just ignore. i really don't understand why they act like this.

My daughter and son aged 10 and 8 took a trial class of robotix last week and they were so excited to build a robot and learned the basic concept of robot programming. Soon after finishing the trial, they wanted to start the class right away. I like the fun-filled and laboratory-look environment. Also, they keep the optimum level of mentor to student ratio - around 1 to 5 or 6. The mentors seem very kind, dedicated and professional. Mathobotix Irvine is a great place to start learning coding and robotix. I definitely recommend this place to my friends.

I have been attending Bytes and Bots for a month or so and the classes are run very professionally. I certainly learn a lot as my classes focus around programming. The curriculum runs very in-depth beginning very basic and continuously expanding. It is also easy to follow for most ages, and any questions I have while programming is always answered by my assigned mentor. In addition my personal background has been over 10 years in the engineering field, and even with 10 years experience there is a vast amount of knowledge for me to continue to gain, I highly recommend this facility for those looking to pursue any aspect of engineering, electronics, or coding.

My kids, 8 and 11, have been doing robotics for the last 6 months or so and they seem to be really enjoying it. Besides learning to build and program, they are also getting some experiences with presenting in front of their classmates. Fernando has been really helpful and understanding when we have to miss a class and do a makeup.

My son has taken many classes at the Irvine and Los Alamitos locations. The mentor's are wonderful and he enjoys these classes immensely. It s money well spent investing in his future and it will definitely help in his college and occupational pursuits.

This is an excellent source for children with a desire to learn robotics and\or programming languages such as Python, C and Java. The classes are project based and more engaging since they can apply their knowledge.

My son looks forward to having the Mathobotix class and super excited each week after he had his first Mathobotix class a couple of months ago. He really have learned a lot and found much fun when he made the customized programmed toy by himself under the direction of one-on-one tutoring of the mentor. The employees there are very nice. It is a big plus that the presentation of each finished project by the kids to others to introduce the robot. I definitely recommend it.

We love Mathobotix. Our 12 year old son has been attending for over a year including a Thanksgiving week camp. He has been doing RAspberry Pi coding and has now moved into Gameology. Our 9 year old daughter started building robots and now that we have joined the STEM club she has moved to codeology for coding. The instructors are excellent, they are learning the soft skills of presentation and iterations of their work. We recommend this to everyone we can. My wife and I are both educators and I work in technology for a local school district. I wish we could provide these classes to all students.

I have utilized the services of Mathobotix since I first visited the Irvine office about 7 years ago. I was interested in starting a robotics team or club at my school, and stopped by to talk to Kumar and other folks there. They gave me a lot of good suggestions and I was able to get things going at school as result. Over the years, I've stayed in touch, especially with the Los Alamitos office. Team members have attended workshops or team sessions there, most recently as we prepared for a small tournament in Beverly Hills. We have a young, inexperienced team and the staff at the Los Alamitos office worked with our kids and we came it SECOND at the tournament. We were very happy with the assistance we received (and the results). I expect to continue working with Mathobotix whenever I can. Great job!

We were introduced to Bytes & Bots by a friend of ours back in Mar '20. We met with Kumar and some of his staff / mentors at their lab in Irvine to determine a course suitable for our kids (ages 10 & 8). The lab and the courses offered instantly impressed us for the expansiveness of the curriculum, and at the same time, the simplicity of it all tailored to kids of all ages. Our kids enrolled for the Fabologie course that teaches them to work with programmable circuit boards (Rasberry Pi), and coding assignments in Python. It was a double-benefit course and needless to say, our kids have been hooked ever since. They are now in the 2nd cycle of 3 months, and we can already see how much they have benefited in terms of maturity in problem-identification, problem-solving, presentation quality of the solutions, and an awareness of how technology works in general. It has been money well spent from our point of view. The mentors who work with the kids deserve special mention for their ability to communicate with the kids and lead them along the way incrementally & iteratively as they together lay and build on the foundations of circuit design and programming - situated in a stress-free and an enjoyable learning experience. If you are a parent who wants to introduce your kids to technology and R&D in a serious albeit a fun learning atmosphere, especially early in their school years, you must pay Bytes & Bots a visit right away!

My 9 year old son just finished a week-long camp at Mathobotix in Irvine and is scheduled for another week next week. Last week was the third time we did a program with Mathobotix and he has loved it every time. The mentors are great. He has learned a ton about programming games with Scratch and hopes to move on to Python next week. He started all of this with no knowledge of coding and has gotten so into it it is his first choice of camps and he wants to now be a coder "when he grows up." I think the program is great.. I especially love the program at the Mathobotix office in Irvine because the facility is quite nice (that being said, taking the camp through Saddleback College for Kids during summer was good too, just the portables aren't as comfortable as the real facility). I love how they end the week having each child give a presentation to all of the parents about the game they have created... Great for creating public speaking skills.

My daughter has completed two programs at Bytes & Bots and she enjoys it very much. The team of mentors is very experienced working with the kids and helping them learn how to organize and complete projects which teaches the kids valuable technology and life skills.

The projects provide kids the foundational understanding of real-world engineering and computer science problem solving which will help them prepare for future work in a variety of industries.

As a parent, I like that the lab is a safe, professional learning environment where my daughter can learn from her mentors and peers.

I highly recommend to let your children give it a try. You will be please with the result.
