Amazing service , Hubert is a pro and extremely welcoming !!!

Well known for rude customer service.The sales people will judge your attire and decide if you are worth their time.Im sorry but you re just a sales person and your job is to help customers out with whatever they are looking for.Been here a couple of times and never wore a suit so I got treated like a nobody so I will take my business to Ontario where sales people know how to treat everyone equal not because of your attire.

The moment you walk in, you are being judged by the staff. Also, everything here is hugely overpriced. If you are looking for diamonds or engagement/wedding bands, check out Ecksand.

I just walked into your store with my boyfriend hoping to look for an engagement ring. Two of your clerks, an Asian lady and the man with a tan complexion never even approached us nor acknowledged our presence and they were not busy with customer service. I am absolutely appalled, we ended up just walking out. Classless service.

The most exclusive jewelery store in Montreal and also the best known outside Quebec. Several years ago, I bought a silver cutlery service for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary. The customer service was more than up, royal would be fairer. Even watching is dazzling.

Amazing service. Bought my first Rolex here 10 days before my birthday. The Rolex Explorer II 216570.
They called me and asked me if I wanted it and they put aside for me to come purchase.
Drummond Birks was married to my great aunt, so I take pride in shopping at Birks.
They have a variety of quality luxury brands and I am glad to be able to shop and find what I need.
(P.S) Let me know if you have any more Rolex watches in store. ;)

Fantastic Sales team, Melvin was able to source a piece for me that eluded me for quite sometime. Upon pick up Melvin and his team went out of there way to make the buying experience unique and greatly satisfying. This is the second piece I have bought from this location and look forward to many more purchases in the future.

Should it come limousine and suit and tie to be served humanly? Even if you had pretty jewelry, your staff do not at all make you want to shop in your store.

I came at Birk's with a friend more than a month ago. I got very disappointed by the customer service of one older saleswoman. She came shouting from a distance "can i help you guys? Or you're just here to look?" while we were looking at watches. Yes we were casually dressed young adults in shorts and t shirt. We were just passing by as we were shopping on Ste Catherine. The way she was speaking to us was classless and overly rude. She was clearly not there to help. My friend had actually a budget of 20 000$ for a watch (she didn't know obviously :) ). Yes, I also asked her about jewelry evaluation services for set I inherited from my grandmother and she started speaking about reselling it to them as if I was a poor kid ready to sell familial heritage. So insulting... We had the chance of speaking to another very professional and polite salesman after but she totally broke the mood.

Bad service, will not be back. We tried to have my wife's engagement ring repaired... they actually quote a repair the price of a new one... Then it seems the ring is lost somewhere with the jeweler since we are waiting to have it back for more then a month now...

Being new to Montreal, I did not know the store and I was pleasantly surprised by the place, I was very well received by Melvin from the rolex store. He knew his products very well and was able to advise me in my purchasing process. I recommend the shop!

Went in there in polo and shorts looking for an engagement ring. I never got asked any question. Some guys in suit came in and got served immediately. Lesson learn : If you dont wear a suit, don't even think getting the service you deserve! The truth behind this is, most suit guys don't even have 20$ in their pockets !

Honestly, Worst Customer Service,
Every single worker is extremely Stuck up and rude. All they care is about sales. The securities do not even sell but some how they are super nice! Even though they have to be serious with there job , they manage to be nice.

For the other workers themselves, they may have sales, but in my opinion as someone who has been in that store, i absolutely did not want to purchase a single thing because of how rude and arrogant every worker is . I do not know who the owner is , but he needs to train these workers with there poor skills.

They treat customers like a number. The place is beautiful but what terrible horrible workers!!!
i have been to other stores and no workers were rude as the ones in BIRKS!! Maybe they have nice jewelries, but you can get nice ones elsewhere!!!

Come yesterday to buy two Rolexes we were very well received and informed from start to finish! Whether on the phone or in the store, the staff are very courteous, kind and professional. Staff and store very neat like the signs they represent! Special thanks to Romain who was a great advisor and seller, and to Melvin for the professionalism and management of the store! Thank you to the whole team;) We will only go to your place now!

Ignored and snobbed by staff in empty store. Asked for help twice, each told me to go see someone else instead of finding help for me, as well dressed clients get served right away. Bought cufflinks and requested an engraving. Refused to discuss the design of the engraving, font and size, had to let the engraver decide. They ended up losing the cufflinks, which was the last pair, never returning my calls. Took six weeks until they found them again. Nope. Just... Nope.

Its more of a tourist attraction than a jewelry store. I expected them to have a better selection of watches than a boutique in your local shopping mall. They dont. And if you're paying cash for a ring its the last place you want to go. So ridiculously overpriced.

Birks is currently closed for renovations. I think it would be good to adjust the opening hours to take this into account. These are major renovations that will take a long time.

I recently bought Rolexes after visiting often. Fantastic Joel was the one who served me and we developed a rapport together and after a while he knew what I wanted and worked very hard to get me a piece I had wanted and I did not hesitate. I appreciate his honesty and his advice and opinion on Rolex and Cartier. But all the salespeople are very friendly and willing to help and I got to know them all by name. Birks has great service, a great payment plan and a wonderful selection and venue. Even though downtown Montreal has horrible parking I always make the time to visit them. Although Birks is a big company, the downtown Montreal location has a friendly family atmosphere. Great jewellery and watch store !!!

Well what can I say!! Joel, Hubert, Melvyn, Ihab, Michael and the rest of the gang really went out of their way to do it again. They got me my grail piece after a little patience (but not a lot) and I couldn t be happier. There is a long waiting list for such pieces but I can tell you that after waiting and obtaining a piece like this, I feel like Birks plays fair if you are a good client of theirs and show interest. I always felt welcomed at their store by Irina Xiao mei, Malik, Dominique and even the security guards and I hope to be a client for life now.

From time to time, I'm building a collection of luxury watches. Birks is the place to go. Buy with confidence, spend and feel fulfilled.

I guess you need to be "dressed up" to shop here. Looked to me like Rolex prices in Canada are better than those in the US, so I thought I'd check it out. These guys were right down the block from my hotel. They must have taken one look at me in my cargo shorts, Harley tee shirt, sneakers, carrying a water bottle (hell, it's been 95 degrees all day) and decided not to bother helping me, or even asking if I needed help. Reminds me of my first Mercedes purchase. Dealer #1 ignored me in my Levis and Grateful Dead tee shirt. Dealer #2 got my US$75,000 purchase. They also got my second purchase. I suppose I'll take my US$10k watch budget to one of their competitors.

I went there on Febuary 6th, 2019 arround 12:00 pm. Very good service. The service was amazing. Trust me you don't have to be well dressed to go there. I showed up with jogging pants and a sweater. I was also wearing a cap. I was well treated from when I entered from when I left. Thank you so so much. Shoutouts to Mr. Ken for helping. What else can I say.

I wanted to buy a Rolex Submariner, they never replied to my email inquiries nor answered the phone after I tried several times. Terrible customer service!!!

My wife and myself got 2 watches here, we are first time customers at Birks. We got treated like royalty nothing less. Hubert the sale manager and Maria the sales lady, are very knowledgeable and provided us with an exceptional experience, we didn't want to leave lol. I visited many watch stores worldwide, but I really never had such a high service level, and high level of knowledge which is rare to find. You can feel how passionate they are about watches, and it is critical when you buy a timepiece that costs ten of thousands. I can't wait to do my next purchase here ! Thank you !!!

The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've EVER had with any company, let alone a "luxury brand". Gave them my watch that was on warranty with the warranty certificate and got a quote 3 months later for a repair. They said they needed the warranty certificate to cover the cost and argued they did not have it. Then when they returned the watch, the warranty certificate was in the box. They apologized and sent it back. Got a call 3 MONTHS later, only to get a new quote, even more expensive than the first one. Trying to call them back and their phone isn't working. I've been waiting a year to get this watch fixed by them. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, EVER.

Good service and very welcoming staff. Xian Ming is very professional. They asked 920$ to fix my Omega watch and 520$ for my concord San Remo watch. They charge a lot of money for reparation. I just found a vintage watch repair store one hour from Montreal and he is charging arround 500 $ for both which is fair enough for the amount of work.

Temporarily closed for renovation, reopening scheduled for June 2018.

Amazing experience purchasing my first designer watch! I had the pleasure of dealing with Maria and Hubert. Their quality of customer service was perfect. They treat you like a person and not just a transaction. I would definitely return to see them for my future jewelry needs.

This place has some really nice jewelry and we always try to buy from Canadian stores when we can, but sadly they do not meet the service or quality I would expect from a high end jeweler. Their service is really bad, you feel like you are at a used car lot as they push financing plans at you and rush you to make a choice by throwing numbers at you concerning cut, size and other diamond aspects without taking the time to help you understand or determine what you like. These are large purchases that require great service and can lead to many future purchases. We bought our wedding band there with a plan to buy a matching engagement ring later but after the service we received we were hesitant to go back. Then when a diamond fell off the band about 1 year later and we were told it was not covered by any guarantee, we had to pay to replace it. They don't even stand behind their products. A wedding band is meant to last a lifetime but cannot even last a year and my wife is very careful with it, never has she had any piece of jewelry damaged. Now that Tiffany is down the street I hope Birks will up their game as it would be nice to have a reputable Canadian jeweler around. We will be going to Tiffany for the foreseeable future though as their service is as good as it gets (yes even in their Montreal store) and everything we have bought from them is still in great shape.

High tea.. twice.. 'cause you never have enough of a good thing. The plate seemed small at first but we could hardly finish.. and EVERYthing WAS excellent.

went in to buy a Rolex "sky dweller" the tag was marked as $16,500 instead of 19,900. the manager said they will honor the price on the tag. i went to my office across the street for 15 minutes to get my ids and info for the in house 30/mth application interest free loan. the manager told me they will no longer honor the price. unprofessional and very disappointing. they not only lose a customer but many many more since im in the diamond business myself.
will never step in this store again.

Amazing products, but AWFUL customer service and very rude staff!!!! They act like you're wasting their time, and they cannot be bothered to answer your questions about the product! This happened twice already, in 2 different occasions and two different staff! Unbelievable!

Snob salesman. Thinking that the client doesn't have enough money to buy the product.
