I think it is the best medical college. But as a hospital it's not so good. Proper authority should improve Their announcement.

Very bad experience in gastroenterologist department. I am supposed to do the colonoscopy but they started doing my endoscopy. After half of the endoscopy done they were looking for my file . Even they have n't got my file during the test . After that according to file they found I am supposed to do the colonoscopy not endoscopy. How funny & dangerous it is !!! This hospital has the poorest service,horrible and full of injustice. In which hospital facility will a doctor say he has no time to explain the possible risk of not undergoing surgery prior to discharge? What kind of doctors
will say patient has water in the gallbladder,next day patient has dust in the gallbladder,next day patient has stone in the gall bladder without doing another diagnostic test? What kind of doctor will say the procedure cost 25K,other doctor will say 50K? Are we having any inconsistencies here? Are you sure we can be confident in your diagnosis with all these

About Diabetic Association of Bangladesh (BADAS)

The Diabetic Association of Bangladesh (Bengali acronym Bangladesh Diabetic Somiti- BADAS) was established on 28 February 1956 in Dhaka at the initiative of the late National Professor Dr Muhammad Ibrahim (1911-1989) and a group of social workers, philanthropists, physicians and civil servants. The Association started an out-patient clinic in 1957 in a small semipermanent structure of about 380 sq ft at Segun Bagicha, Dhaka. Over the years, the clinic has turned into a diabetes care and research complex at Shahbag, Dhaka, which, after the demise of Prof Md Ibrahim in 1989 has been renamed as the Ibrahim Memorial Diabetes Centre.

BADAS as a nonprofit voluntary socio-medical service organization was registered with the Ministry of Social Welfare under the Society s Registration Act, 1860. It is run by a 32 member National Council (NC) of which 18 members are from the life member category and 6 members represent the Affiliated Association category. They are directly elected by the representative of the Life Member and Affiliated Association respectively. One-third of the members (ie 6) from the Life Member category and 2 from the Affiliated Association retire every year by rotation and election to those one-third posts is held in every Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association. The elected members elect the Office-Bearers of the National Council, consisting of a President, 3 Vice-Presidents, a Secretary General, a Treasurer, a Joint Secretary General, and a Joint Treasurer.

The President, so elected, nominates 5 members from amongst the Vice-Chancellors and Professor of Universities in Bangladesh, Heads of National Research Organizations, Heads of Financial Institutions, Heads of Donor Agencies, Heads of Social Welfare Organizations, Heads of Professional Bodies and reputed social workers. The Government nominates 3 ex-officio members representing the Ministries of Finance, Health and Family Welfare and Social Welfare. The members nominated by the Government must be in the rank of at least a Joint Secretary.

The National Council meets at least once in a month and reviews the activities of the Association. It takes decisions on policy matters, budget and finance, planning and development. The executive power of the National Council is vested with the Secretary General who runs the different institutions through respective Board of Management with the help of the Treasurer and BADAS Secretariat.

It is one of the biggest hospitals in Bangladesh. Regarding diabetic treatment it is the biggest and most modern hospital, no doubt. Several years ago I took treatment for hbsag+ (hep b) from this hospital. I was about to die but with the treatment from this hospital I got my life back. Staffs, doctors, everything is ok here. I will be grateful to this hospital for ever.

Sharing experience.

For the last three months, I have sought the help of about 13/14 specialist doctors for my father's treatment.

But I did not know that the doctor's broker has been appointed on these pages

I am sharing an experience so that no one else like me suffers from this

I wanted page suggestions for my father's toe surgery, from many IDs on the page and inbox I was shown to him by Tapash Kumar Mitra, a very good doctor from Bardem. The same complaint of all the patients in the bed is that he does not give proper treatment at once to keep the patient.

Since I was admitted, I thought I would do the surgery despite hundreds of complaints.

After the surgery, he has to come to her every 4 consecutive days, she will see and pay Rs. 1500 / - by dressing the peon.

Anyway I went 4 times like this and every time I said sir we have no place to stay in Dhaka and 4 days in a row is painful and costly, you give us a little referral in Barisal so that we can do dressing there or in Barguna and come to you every month , And every time he said this, he said insulting things to my father and younger brother and told them not to come to him, and he would not give a referral.

The 4th time he did the same despite many requests.

We have suffered so much in his behavior that it has not been matched by any other 12/13 doctors.

Therefore, for the information of the group members, politely, if you get any advice from the group, you must check it.

And Tapas Kumar Mitra must boycott the surgery of Bardem

I m not speaking out of personal resentment, it s the opinion of most of his patients.

Worse customer service......behaviour of authority are extremely bad like a barking dog......i really hurted with their bad treatment. They have insufficient equipments to incur a patient and no icu facility. I strongly suggested to all not to make maistake to take patients here......i hate the hospital and highly recommend to close the hospital....
