We loved every minute of our visit. The birds are amazing, the grounds are lovingly kept up, the play parks are good fun and the petting farm had loads of friendly animals. All the staff were knowledgeable and friendly Michael gave a great talk and demo with some amazing birds. Kayleigh drove the road train and the lovely Jenny was on the ticket desk. Thanks for a brilliant day out.

Great place. Weather wasn't good but nice range of enclosures and hides to keep dry in. Lovely to get close to so many beautiful birds (and chatty ones too in the case of the cockatoos and macaws). Definitely worth a few hours of your time.
A cold sunny then wet late autumn day out with our littlest one. We all had a great day wandering around, watching the displays and trying to get the parrots to talk. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Lovely place to walk round. Had a nice meal in the cafe which was reasonably price and half way round the coffee stall was pleasant to sit and rest...good sized car park...the aquarium wasnt as good as expected but included in price for bird park so was worth a look...gift shop prices not overpriced
Great zoo. (If you like birds) well managed for this time of social distancing. Our kids love it and as you know happy kids happy parents. Would recommend for family day out.
My "experience" is based on some reviews of this place, which make it look pretty disgusting, quite frankly. The response from management didn't even address some of the issues raised, and that speaks volumes about how little they care.
Pretty good place with friendly staff, a variety of animals and species but seemed a bit worn out and dim at an overall glance, probably won't come again but still was good
Such a disappointing day out, the website clearly states there are no shows and limited catering, which is fine however limited catering meant tea and coffee from an urn at reception only, no where to get lunch and no where to eat a picnic out of the rain! The cost is reduced slightly but for what is available it really isn t worth it, staff are too busy fixing the place up to talk to you and it felt like we were intruding!
We travelled 45 mins for a day out for my daughters birthday when we realised there was no food at all we were going to leave but my daughter was so excited to see the birds we decided to stay. I am absolutely gutted we did as it wasn t the day out we expected. The farm that states it s open was ok if you like chickens, there s not much else! Underwater world is like walking around the local pet shop and the birds were pretty mundane not very animated. Definitely nothing to keep a toddler entertained and not family friendly as there was nowhere to warm a baby bottle.
We won t be going back which is a shame as I have happy memories going there as a child, for what is on offer during low season there should be no charge or at the very least a 50% discount on the full price and better details on the website! This is a day we will never get back, thank you Birdworld!
As a dad of young girls, we love this place. Friendly staff, well looked after animals and plenty to do. The place is big enough to spend the whole day there. Once you've finished looking at all of the birds and other animals, theres parks to play in, lunch and snacks to have, crazy golf and lots of different shows throughout the day although they're not available at the moment due to Covid. Great day out!! Thanks Birdworld!
Good place to visit with children animals easy to see some of the enclosure interiors and exteriors are in need of renewing they are looking a bit run down the staff are all friendly and helpful
Amazing collection of birds with a calm atmosphere, reasonable pricing they accept blue light discount cards, nice little cafe serving the usual things, such as jacket potatoes and chips, sandwiches etc. The ticket also gains you entry to the oceanarium next door and also the little farm yard petting zoo at the back of the park. Was very surprised how fun it actually was.
Amazing experience and fun for the whole family. I have been coming here 4 years and always something new added small or big.food is a gd bargain plus food for the animals pretty cheap. The penguin feeding experience was out of this world. Thanks Birdworld
Bird world is a great place to visit, especially with small children. There are a wide variety of different birds. On top of that there is also a small aquarium included and a farm.
Excellent afternoon at Birdworld. Not very big so good if you have young children. Lots of species I have not seen anywhere else before so really good to see something new.
Over all the experience including Santa's Grotto was amazing... Never have I met a kind and gentle santa as the one they have there!! Definitely worth visiting with the kids.
All activities are amazing, ing the bird world takes the longest to go through as they really do have many different species in a lovely little walk around style.
The thoughtful things they have added are incredible, from play parks to picnic tables. And in underwater world they have an inside seating area for colouring for the young ones to take a little break, So for wet and cold days you have an inside picnic area to eat at too.
Really nice staff about the place. Full of smiles eventhough it was really cold and bitter (Christmas) but not too many that they seem to hide the view we literally saw them inside and the care takers which were two outside! And all were very friendly and approachable.
Overall a good experience the birds were ok but it was more fun in the more open areas. Feeding the birds was fun for the kids. The underwater world was a bit depressing but that was just a bonus extra. I would recommend you look for some deal like Tesco days out vouchers
Spent the whole day here. All outdoors so glad it didn't rain. Was worth the money for entry as there was lots to see and also for older kids, there was a good adventure playground
Fun and relaxing day out in the middle of the week. A huge variety of birds and a petting zoo full of cute farm animals, rabbits and Guinea pigs. Plenty of fun and informative displays. Had a nice hot lunch from the garden centre. Will definitely return soon!
Great place for adults and children. Lots of birds and also a farm. Some of the cages look a bit all for some of the birds but all seem well cared for. Lovely day out.
I went for a visit today with my friend and her daughter -1 myself and my son 21 months. It was freezing, and icey but I was very disheartened to see some of the birds outside actually shivering it was so cold for them. Don't get me wrong it was cold today but to see the birds that cold put be off visiting again if I'm honest. Made me feel like they should have been put away despite people coming in. My son loved the fact it was safe to be free from the pushchair and all the equipment looked good.... but I'm hoping I can put this behind me and see it was a one off and visit when it is warmer.
Did anyone else gave this problem on there visit on a cold day??
Went here for my birthday with my son and friends & family. Had a really good day, the farm needs a bit of attention as looks very run down and a bit grotty. Also if you had to pay for the underwater world separately you would be very disappointed as it wasn't all that. The toilets there absolutely stink need a good clean and referb, the train ride was pointless you could only see broken fences and the guy pulling the train needs to be a bit more enthusiastic about his job. Apart from that had a good day and it's reasonably priced.
We went here by accident as something we had booked nearby was shut. Really lovely place for seeing all different types of birds. It is expensive but they let carers in free if you have some form of proof. Some of the areas have different birds where you can go in their cages and get close up to them. Loads of diffent types from ducks to Emu's! Shop was really good with lots of different things. Separate aquarium area but we didnt think much of it. Main birdword area was really good.
We have had a lovely day at Birdworld despite some early drizzle. Everything very interesting and so clean. Congratulations for having helpful and extremely polite staff members who went out of their way to give us a great day out, and it was not too far from home either. Will certainly come back! It is lovely to go somewhere with very fair prices right across the board. We do appreciate it. Many thanks.
Amazing birds - lovely. In cages - not so lovely... I know they do good conservation work but there is still something incredibly sad about seeing animals that should be so free behind wire fences... Basically, if you're OK with zoos then you will probably enjoy birdworld.
During covid, and great social distance, cleaning loos after each person! Super lovely day out with more than "just birds". We had a amazing time it really was lovely. Very friendly staff that are happy to chat with you about the amimals. My best rated place for covid control and social distancing but it didnt feel "too much" deffo recommend any way as a great day out but definitely the best "safe" place at the moment too
Just a truly great place. Would have moved to farnham just for Bird World if I'd known. The displays with the birds flying over the crowd are really impressive and always entertain myself and my little boy.
Been going to Birdworld since I was a kid, now I'm 31 and taking my 2 little ones. Birdworld has improved, there are new enclosures, a new owl area and updated play areas. There's a lot to see and do.
Absolutely wonderful to come with children and/or couples. Would recommend arriving around 12 to see everything possible and to also watch events that will be on during the day such as penguin feeding.
